Abstract

This review paper explores into the impact of Building Information Modelling (BIM) implementation on sustainable efficiency within construction projects. It systematically examines BIM’s influence on sustainable project performance, its utilization in construction organizations, and the identification of barriers and enablers affecting the integration of sustainable practices through BIM, with recommendations to overcome these barriers. Methodologically, the review synthesizes extensive literature on BIM in construction field is conducted through systematic searches across databases like Scopus and Google Scholar from 2006 to 2024. The findings reveal BIM’s transformative role in the construction industry’s digital evolution, enhancing collaboration, design clash detection, cost estimation, and scheduling, with promising potential for environmentally conscious design through its integration with sustainable practices. Nonetheless, challenges such as high adoption costs, expertise limitations, and software compatibility hinder widespread BIM implementation, particularly in sustainability-focused projects. The study underscores the immense potential of BIM in supporting sustainability within construction, emphasizing the necessity for guidance, training, modified business models, and collaborative efforts to unlock its full potential. This review bridges the gap between BIM’s potential and practical implementation, providing insights into leveraging BIM for sustainable construction practices, thereby promising a more environmentally conscious future for the construction industry.

Abstract

Background: Information anxiety is a topic of interdisciplinary study. Although it has been widely studied by researchers in the field of library and information science, several other fields such as education, business and economics also examine a person's information anxiety. However, this topic seems to have disappeared from scientific discussion, especially in scientific journals. Objective: This research tries to bring back the topic of information anxiety within the scope of Library and Information Science, especially in the context of education in higher education. Methods: The population in this study were final year students of one faculty at Diponegoro University class of 2018 with a population of 730 students and a sample size of 251 samples calculated using the Isaac and Michael formula with a significance level of 5%.Results: The results of the analysis show that students feel anxious when they cannot access the information, they need even though they know the location of the information. In other words, they experience anxiety when they know the location of information, but experience limited access in obtaining the information needed to support their thesis. Conclusion: The study reveals that students' information anxiety when writing a thesis is more influenced by limited access to information than by the abundance of information.

Abstract

A classic problem in learning is the occurrence of learning boredom at school, which is the background for conducting this research. This research aims to analyze the competency of elementary school teachers regarding the tutorial model in information and communication technology (ICT) learning and determine the obstacles teachers have in implementing the tutorial model in ICT learning at the Avicenna Lasem Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT). The research used a case study method with the research subjects being grade 3-6 teachers and one information and communication technology (ICT) teacher. Data was obtained through interviews. The research results show that conceptually, teachers understand the tutorial model in information and communication technology (ICT) learning well, but in practice, 4 out of 5 teachers studied still need to implement the tutorial model in learning. This research also reveals that teachers experience obstacles in implementing the tutorial model in information and communication technology (ICT) learning.

Abstract

The implementation of information disclosure in public bodies is a mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure which applies to all public bodies, both in the central government through ministries and other state institutions and regional governments through regional apparatus organizations or regional apparatus work units. The importance of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the law for regional apparatus in order to ensure that public information services are periodic, at all times, and immediately, and information that is excluded can run well. The research data was taken from the results of monitoring and evaluation activities in 2023 by the Banten Information Commission on 39 regional apparatus organizations. Through a qualitative approach, the data is processed and described according to data from indicators I, II, III, and IVnamely website development, public information development, public information services, and provision of public information. The results of the monitoring and evaluation show that of the 39 public bodies, there are 25 public bodies that are Informative, 9 are approaching informative, 2 are quite informative, and 3 are less informative. This confirms that the majority of regional apparatus organizations are already informative by implementing public information service standards that refer to PERKI 1 of 2021.However, in the future, Information and Documentation Management Officers in Regional Government Organizations still need to maximize services for public information requests for applicants and users of information whose numbers continue to increase. Therefore, monitoring and evaluation of public bodies need to be continuously maintained in terms of quantity and quality by the information commission.
