Abstract

This research analyses the flexibility of access to legal information through social media and its impact on law enforcement in Indonesia. Social media makes it easy for the public to obtain legal information quickly and widely. However, the main challenge faced is the validity of the legal information circulating, which can lead to misunderstandings and affect the law enforcement process. With data collection techniques using literature studies, this research reviews regulations such as the ITE and KIP Law and literature related to legal information accessibility. The results show that although the flexibility of access through social media increases people's legal awareness, the lack of supervision of the information disseminated can undermine the legal system. Examples of viral cases show how information virality can accelerate public attention to legal issues. However, it also creates pressure on legal authorities and therefore requires strengthening regulations, public education, and adequate supervision to optimise the flexibility of access to legal information. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the relationship between digital technology and law enforcement, especially in the context of legal information on social media. This research also provides practical recommendations for strengthening regulations, public education, and information supervision as strategic steps in improving the quality of law enforcement in the digital era. It concludes that the flexibility of access to legal information through social media can be an excellent opportunity to increase public legal awareness but must be balanced with strong regulations, consistent education and adequate supervision to prevent the misuse of legal information.and proper supervision to avoid the misuse of information that is detrimental to the legal system.

Abstract

The establishment of modern judiciary begs the question whether modernity would serve just law properly or simply become another legal challenge for judges within the judiciary. The questions of the research formulated into how does IKAHI keeps the synergy between its member to communicate judges’ difficulties and how does IKAHI supports the idea of generalizing the perception of IT usage for judges in case trials. The role of the study would be beneficial in improving knowledge and application principle in IKAHI action. The result of the data shown positive aspect and proves the main theory and idea. The article is discussed in a deductive method. The main findings of the article is that modernization of court can only be achieved if the use of IT in court has been generalized so that there wouldn’t be contradiction or conflict through the use of electronic judgment templates and use of Google Meet for criminal court trials.

Abstract

Current information and communication technology has changed the way information is shared, affecting the way people get and deliver news. The number of digital news that continues to increase every day by several news portals poses a challenge, where news is often related to more than one category. From the existing problems, a study was conducted on the classification of online news titles. This study uses the SVM method with mutual information feature selection to classify online news titles. The dataset used is the news title from detik.com using 6 categories, namely finance, travel, health, auto, food, and sport with the number of data per category being 2000 data. The classification process starts from text preprocessing, term weighting using TF-IDF, then feature selection with mutual information, and finally classification with SVM. The results of the study showed that testing various SVM kernels and mutual information (MI) thresholds with a threshold of 85% provided the highest level of F1-score on the SVM machine with the RBF kernel and a C value = 10, which was 86,15%.
