Abstract

The raising of competition between business holders causes various cases oflosses that experienced by consumers. Therefore, the consumer independence andconsumerism should be built up to prevent losses due to the crime of businessholders. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence consumerindependence in Generation Y. This research is using an online survey with 291respondents. More than half of the respondents in this research were in themedium category of consumer independence, and were in the low category ofconsumerism. The results of this research showed that independent self-construalshad a significant positive effect toward consumer independence and consumerrights awareness had a significant positive effect toward consumer independenceand consumerism.

Abstract

Education becomes an important thing to advance a nation. Therefore, everyone must follow the education level. One of education level is early childhood education. KB & TK Permata Iman which was established in 2005 is a private educational institution and focus on early childhood education. In learning evaluation, KB & TK Permata Iman still use conventional method. The conventional method takes much time because teachers need to collect daily grade until the end of a semester for final grade calculation and prepare the results in grade book. The semester learning evaluation process can be shortened and simplified using a web-based academic assessment management information system. The system can store, directly perform calculations when teachers add students’ grade and make grade book from saved grade. From the testing result, the time efficiency increased to 94.94% when evaluating semester learning using the system and it can help the teacher to save time and do another task.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify and analyze about (1) The effect of budgetary participation on managerial performance, (2) The effect of budgetary participation on managerial performance with job relevant information as moderating variable, and (3) The effect of budgetary participation on managerial performance with leadership style as moderating variable. Study was conducted at government general hospital in Riau Province, which amount to 13 general hospital. The data used in this research was primary data with questionnaire as an instrument. The method that used to the sample selection was simple random sampling. The number of samples in this research were 120 respondents. Hypothesis test used in this research was statistical t-test. Data analysis techniques used in this research was multiple linear regression analysis using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 17.0 for Windows as data processing software program. Results of hypothesis test using statistical ttest showed the significant value of budgetary participation variable 0.000 < 0.05, which means that H1 accepted, the job relevant information variable 0.008 < 0.05, which means that H2 accepted, and leadership style variables 0.040 < 0.05, which means the H3 accepted. The results showed budgetary participation, job relevant information, and leadership style has effect on managerial performance.Keywords : budgetary participation, managerial performance, job relevant information, and leadership style.

Abstract

Background: Pentavalent immunization was developed by the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) by adding Hib vaccine and combined it into one single preparation. The advantage of using the pentavalent vaccine is the protection of five diseases, easy to use and reducing drop out numbers. The aim of this study was to determine the relation of mothers knowledge, attitude, and information source with pentavalent immunizations completeness in Cipondoh Primary Health Care. Method: This was an analytical non-paired comparative study with cross-sectional design by consecutive sampling technique. There were 105 respondents. The samples were mothers who have minimal 6 months old baby in Cipondoh Primary Health Care work area. Data were collected using questionnaires. Results: The results of bivariate test using chi-square shows there was a relation between mothers knowledge and pentavalent immunizations completeness (p-value=0.001; OR=6.1; CI=2.1-17.2), mothers attitude and pentavalent immunizations completeness (p-value=0.027; OR=3.5; CI=1.1-11.3), mothers information source and pentavalent immunizations completeness (p-value=0.011; OR=4.4; CI=1.5-12.4). Conclusion: There was a relationship between maternal knowledge level, maternal attitude, information source and pentavalent immunizations completeness.

Abstract

Pentingnya penggunaan Teknologi Informasi (TI) tidak bisa dipisahkan dari risiko-risiko yang akan mungkin terjadi. Satuan organisasi XYZ sendiri telah menerapkan manajemen risiko keamanan informasi menggunakan standar ISO 31000:2009 untuk meminimalisir risiko-risiko tersebut. Penerapan manajemen risiko keamanan informasi dilakukan agar satuan organisasi XYZ dapat mengetahui optimasi risiko yang dikelola satuan organisasi XYZ sudah berjalan dengan baik dan memberikan dampak yang signifikan. Sehingga satuan organsasi XYZ perlu melakukan evaluasi untuk mengetahui tingkat kapabilitas dalam memastikan optimasi risiko yang telah dilaksanakan satuan organisasi terhadap layanan TI. Framework COBIT 5 digunakan untuk melakukan evaluasi manajemen risiko keamanan informasi dengan melakukan pengukuran tingkat kapabilitas yang memfokuskan pada subdomain EDM03 (Ensure Risk Optimisation). Hasil penelitian ini pada subdomain EDM03 memiliki tingkat kapabilitas pada level 1 performed process kategori largely achieved dengan nilai 78,29%. Pada level ini proses yang diimplementasikan organisasi mencapai tujuan prosesnya. Manfaat penelitian ini bagi satuan organisasi XYZ dapat membantu manajemen risiko keamanan informasi dan pengimplementasi framework ISO 31000 mencapai nilai optimal dalam mendukung layanan TIK di Lembaga ABC.

Abstract

Writing is one of the main skill in learning English which is conclude on productive skill in the abilityof producing language. In the university, writing skill has an expected that the students couldmastering in the academic writing level. It has an aim that the students could write at least the abstractof their research paper in English. In Widya Dharma University of Klaten, the writing skill givenfrom the early semester integrated with the other three skills (listening, reading, and speaking). In theprocess of teaching and learning, it is found that the writing skill of the technical information studentswas not satisfying. This research is described the problems faced by the students in masteringacademic English writing in Technical Information of Widya Dharma University of Klaten. Abstract

The function of Strategic planning in a institution is a guideline for long term of institution development. That planning is a result from the analysis process and there are some conditions of institution that want to be gain in particularly of time. The conditions which want to reach are reflected at vision, mission, goals and the programs of institution. For the reason of clearness from that strategic planning, the institution have a documentation which complemented with the description of the strength and the weakness or internal factor potension, the opportunities and the threats or external factor that faced of institution. That all are for the state of institution which have a real conditions globally with the roll of all resources. The activity of institution management which enrollment of all management function that stay focus to institution strategic planning that stated in early time, fundamentally will need a resources of data and informations fully in organization. That all can derived from the resources in all of organization, in a internal or external organization. For the reason effectiveness and effecienceness in a managemen of data in organization, it have to pushed with the management information system that already exist in organization with have a integration in the orders and have a aligment between the information system and the business process. SMK Negeri 1 Majalengka is the institution in field of middle vocation of education and in this time need a managemen information system support which that all can be the drivers of the successful of education activity process. That supported are needed by all of the management level and operational level to reach the goals that stated and documentated in a strategic planning of institution in SMK Negeri 1 Majalengka. Therefore, that is needed to be conducted a activity of information supply can be have a aligment with the existing condition characters in SMK Negeri 1 Majalengka. And that will be Author this paper to conducted an experiment of strategic planning in information system that can be build by SMK Negeri 1 Majalengka. The methodology of riset in which describe the steps, appreachs, and the data which needed in that riset, taken with use a analysis of the problem in the early or riset preliminary and the next step is to state the goals of the riset. The SWOT analyze conducted in the next step to analyze and produce the strategic alternative of institution, and can be emerge the critical success factor / CSF and showed the measures and the data or information needed by every unit of institution. Abstract

Lectures schedule management in campus is an important aspect that must be implemented in every period. The schedule will be managed well if avoided from collision of the room, time, and lecturer. To overcome collision problem it's necessary to make mitigate system to avoid schedule changes frequently caused by collision of room, time, and lecturer. Thus, the author design and build SIM-DRaW (Sistem Informasi Manajemen Dosen, Ruang, dan Waktu) web-based to fulfill needs and overcome schedule management system. The final result of the design and build SIM-DRaW is implemented information system that can help schedule manager to avoid collision earlier.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the effect of the implementation of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) on time efficiency, cost efficiency, quality of information, and managerial satisfaction. Using data of 80 respondents who are managers and staff working in HR department of companies in Central Java and Yogyakarta, we find that the implementation of HRIS affects time efficiency and managerial satisfaction. However, our study also find that the hypothesis concerning that the implementation of HRIS affects cost efficiency and quality of information is not supported.

Abstract

This study is aimed at describing the implementation of Information Gap teaching technique, describing whether or not Information Gap technique improves the students’ speaking ability and describing the students’ response on Information Gap teaching technique in teaching speaking. The study was implemented in MTs Al Muhajirin at the second grade, using action research. The researcher  took 40 students as the subject of  the research. The researcher teaches speaking English using Information Gap method. To find the results, the researcher got the information from the students’ answers on oral test in the form of  pre-test and post-test. The result of  the research using information gap shows  that, the researcher used the CAR (Class Action Research) principle to collect the data. The study consist of  two cycles with each cycle consist of four elements. By implementing Information Gap technique  in teaching speaking, the students have chance to be active and cooperative in teaching speaking. The mean of pre-test is 68,7, post-test is 71,6 and the improvement result of the implementation is  2,9. The students’ responses are positive. Most of  the students said  that they great this technique. They could easily learn English speaking. The students admitted  that their speaking was improved.
