Abstract

This study analyses the communication strategies expert epidemiologists employ in disseminating information about the Monkeypox virus outbreak through mass media. In the context of public health threats such as Mpox (also known as monkeypox), it is essential to understand how to deliver information optimally to shape positive public perception. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was used to explore in-depth interviews and observations concerning communication strategies. Informants included expert epidemiologists, media practitioners, communication professionals, and members of the general public. The findings indicate that the information must be grounded in scientifically valid data and trustworthy sources, presented transparently and educationally, and conveyed with empathy in response to public concerns. The use of varied media formats, effective two-way communication, communicator and data credibility, and simplifying complex information for better comprehension are all crucial. The study recommends implementing integrated and responsive health communication strategies to enhance public awareness and engagement in outbreak prevention and control efforts.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the impact of learning motivation and self-efficacy on students' comprehension of accounting at the Institute of Information Technology and Business. Motivation for learning and self-efficacy are two critical psychological elements that are thought to influence academic performance, particularly in accounting disciplines that are sometimes seen as intricate. This research employs a quantitative methodology via a survey technique. Data were gathered from 85 accounting students via a questionnaire structured on a Likert scale. We performed data analysis utilizing multiple linear regression to assess the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The findings indicated that learning motivation and self-efficacy had a favorable and substantial influence on accounting comprehension. Our findings indicate that learning motivation exerted a more significant influence than self-efficacy; nonetheless, both factors concurrently enhanced students' comprehension of accounting concepts. These findings emphasize the necessity of formulating instructional techniques that enhance students' learning motivation and self-efficacy to augment their comprehension of accounting. This study offers pragmatic advice for educators and academic institutions to include these psychological aspects in the learning process

Abstract

Web-based information systems (WBIS) are increasingly vital across sectors like healthcare, smart cities, and industrial automation. However, traditional cloud computing struggles to meet the low-latency and high-performance demands of these applications due to network delays and bandwidth limitations. Edge computing offers a solution by processing data closer to the source, improving responsiveness and efficiency. This study aims to explore how edge computing can optimize the performance of WBIS by evaluating different edge architectures, task offloading strategies, and performance optimization frameworks. The goal is to identify effective methods for reducing latency, improving response times, and enhancing resource management in distributed edge environments. A systematic literature review was conducted, focusing on peer-reviewed articles published between 2017 and 2025. Four major academic databases were searched using targeted keywords related to edge computing and WBIS. Articles were screened and selected based on inclusion criteria emphasizing relevance, recency, and quality. Data from the final selection of studies were synthesized thematically to identify trends, techniques, and gaps. Findings indicate that hierarchical, distributed, and hybrid edge architectures significantly reduce latency and bandwidth usage. Task offloading strategies like dynamic offloading and reinforcement learning enhance scalability and computational efficiency. Performance frameworks that integrate modular edge-cloud coordination and predictive resource management improve real-time data processing and system responsiveness. Edge computing effectively addresses the limitations of traditional cloud models by enabling localized processing and intelligent resource management in WBIS. Continued research is needed to tackle challenges related to heterogeneity, security, and real-world deployment. The study provides a foundation for developing scalable, high-performance edge-enabled web applications.

Abstract

This research aims to design an information system for the retention of medical records at Datu Beru Takengon Hospital, Central Aceh Regency. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are by means of interviews, observations and literature studies that are related to the problems faced. As for the software development method, it uses waterfall and uses visual studio 2010. The informant in this study is medical record staff. From the research conducted, it was found that problems such as information systems that are still manual so that they are not effective for report information, so it is necessary to design a database-based information system. The suggestion to overcome this problem is to design a medical record retention application that is able to process medical record data that is no longer used or inactive. So that it can optimize the time for the implementation of medical record retention.

Abstract

Utilization of Information Technology (IT) now plays an essential role in the success of an organization's business. By storing information digitally, a company is able to access customer information and process orders quickly. A doctor can immediately give action to the patient after accessing the patient's complete medical record without having to disassemble the paper archives stored in the hospital. This can be done thanks to the existence of a computer-based system that is used to process information, specifically the Management Information System (MIS). Imelda Pekerja Indonesia Hospital is a Type B referral hospital in the city of Medan, North Sumatra, where it often happens that patients are unable to make payments after treatment, both outpatient and inpatient, especially patients who pay for themselves, where every patient who is unable to pay, this is The author makes a patient receivables payment system. Management utilizes the PHP programming language and MySQL database where the patient's receivable data has been recorded by the computer as well as the patient's receivable payment validation process, as for some of the features that exist in this patient receivables information system where patient data input can be done and record of patient receivables.

Abstract

Computers are very well known and have been widely used by the public. Even with a computer system, this can complete all the work that has been done manually. With the help of computers the work can be completed quickly and structured. Computers are tools that are very popular today in solving problems that are used in various fields of science and information technology. With the development of this information technology, an Advocacy Information System and KIE (Information and Education Communication) at the North Sumatra BKKBN were made on a Web-based basis by creating a database to obtain information which is still being done manually. The Advocacy Information System and KIE (Information and Education Communication) at the North Sumatra BKKBN can be done using several programming languages including mysql. The ability to process data is very important for the Web-based Advocacy Information System and KIE (Information and Educational Communication) at the North Sumatra BKKBN which is engaged in information and moderator. The Advocacy Information System and IEC (Information and Education Communication) at the North Sumatra BKKBN still uses manual work so it requires changes that help researchers to complete work effectively and efficiently. That's why the author made a Web program that serves to provide information to the public about family planning that has been established, to make it easier for people to get information about family planning.
