Abstract

Rapid technological developments have made school-age students, especially elementary school students, digital natives who are accustomed to interacting and using the internet every day. This makes it easy for students to obtain information and spread hoaxes quickly through social media platforms. Understanding digital literacy among elementary school students is very important for developing critical verification skills. This study examines the effect of digital literacy understanding on elementary school students' ability to verify information and identify hoaxes. Using a purely quantitative survey approach, data were collected from 170 fourth- to sixth-grade students at SDN Melong Mandiri 1, Cimahi City using a 25-item Likert-scale questionnaire and 6 binary hoax scenarios. Descriptive analysis revealed a high overall digital literacy understanding (Mean=4.16, SD=0.87), with online privacy and personal security as the strongest dimension (Mean=4.35) and critical evaluation/hoax identification as the weakest (Mean=4.05). The average hoax detection accuracy was 88.5%, the highest for official sources (96.4%) and the lowest for health myths (72.1%). Inferential analysis confirmed a significant positive effect (r=0.684, p<0.001), with digital literacy explaining 46.8% of the variance in verification/hoax-recognition skills. The study concluded that although students have a strong digital literacy foundation, strengthening detailed, targeted evaluation skills is crucial, particularly related to contextual analysis and source credibility. This includes addressing vulnerability to subtle hoaxes suchas health myths, thereby enhancing overall digital resilience. Practical implications include a structured literacy module for elementary schools focused on critical verification training.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia's insurance industry is facing increasingly stringent regulatory pressures, especially related to the fulfillment of the Risk-Based Capital (RBC) solvency ratio set by the Financial Services Authority at a minimum of 120%. This study aims to analyze the influence of the quality of Management Information System on the RBC ratio through operational efficiency as a mediating variable in insurance companies in Indonesia. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review of 30 selected scientific journals sourced from high-reputable databases. The results of the study show that the quality of SIM has a positive and significant effect on operational efficiency through process optimization, data accuracy, and acceleration of managerial decision-making. Operational efficiency was further proven to have a positive effect on the RBC ratio through the mechanism of capital surplus accumulation resulting from the reduction of the burden of unproductive costs. Simultaneously, operational efficiency has been shown to mediate the relationship between SIM quality and RBC ratio significantly. These findings imply that strengthening the quality of information technology is a strategic prudential instrument that indirectly strengthens the long-term capital resilience and solvency of Indonesian insurance companies.

Abstract

Transparency in social assistance governance remains a key challenge in improving targeting accuracy and public trust, particularly at the village level. This community service study examines the impact of decile-based public information socialization on community understanding of social assistance distribution and the Kartu Indonesia Sehat (KIS) program in Banjareja Village, Kebumen Regency. Using a pre-experimental one-group pre-test–post-test design, data were collected from 32 participants, including village officials and RT/RW representatives. Community understanding was measured using a structured questionnaire administered before and after the socialization activity. Owing to the non-normal data distribution, differences between the pre-test and post-test scores were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks Test. The results indicate a statistically significant improvement in community understanding following the socialization activity (p < 0.05). The findings suggest that combining public information transparency with interactive discussions enhances policy literacy and supports participatory engagement in social assistance governance. The involvement of local actors reflects the practice of co-production, in which communities actively contribute to understanding and monitoring welfare policies. This study highlights the importance of participatory, data-informed socialization as a practical approach to strengthening transparency, accountability, and community engagement in social assistance programs at the village level.
