Abstract

The implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) at SDN 173 Neglasari Bandung faces critical operational challenges regarding food safety assurance, where the monitoring mechanism relying on manual methods and verbal communication has proven ineffective. The limitations of this conventional system led to a high risk of losing student complaint information, a slow response time in reporting spoiled food to catering vendors, and a lack of authentic visual evidence, which weakens the school's position in enforcing provider accountability. To address these vulnerabilities, this study designs a web-based monitoring information system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, focusing on the transformation of manual recording into a digital format. The implementation results demonstrate a tangible impact experienced by users, where teachers can now report incidents with valid visual evidence in under two minutes, eliminating the issue of lost verbal complaints. Meanwhile, the Principal gains direct access to real-time data for objective vendor evaluation. This transformation has proven to significantly enhance complaint handling responsiveness and student nutrition monitoring transparency compared to the previous manual method.

Abstract

The readability of corporate disclosure plays a crucial role in shaping investors’ ability to process information and make investment decisions. However, experimental evidence on how the readability of both financial and non-financial disclosures influences investor behavior remains limited, particularly in emerging markets. This study examines the effect of corporate disclosure readability on investor decision-making by focusing on financial and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) information. Using a 2 × 2 between-subjects experimental design, the study manipulates the readability of financial and ESG disclosures presented to participants. The experiment involves 58 accounting students with prior knowledge of investment and portfolio management, acting as surrogate investors. The results indicate that disclosures with higher readability significantly increase investors’ willingness to invest compared with disclosures that are difficult to read. The findings suggest that the clarity of both financial and ESG information enhances information processing and influences investment judgments. This study contributes to the literature on corporate disclosure readability and provides implications for firms and regulators in improving the accessibility of corporate reporting.

Abstract

This study integrates the Information Adoption Model (IAM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to predict the intention to register for  BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in the Non-Wage Earner (BPU) segment. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 250 respondents working in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors who were not yet registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Sampit Branch but followed  BPJS Ketenagakerjaan social media. Data analysis employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 3 software. The analysis results indicate that information quantity and information credibility significantly influence information usefulness, while information quality does not have a significant effect. Information usefulness significantly influences information adoption, which in turn affects purchase intention. The TPB variables—attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control—all significantly influence purchase intention. Furthermore, information adoption mediates the relationship between information usefulness and purchase intention. These findings suggest that improving the quantity and credibility of information, along with strengthening positive attitudes, social support, and perceived ease of registration, can enhance information adoption and registration intention for  BPJS Ketenagakerjaan among the BPU segment. The study contributes to the theoretical integration of IAM and TPB in the context of social security services for informal workers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze loan administration practices and the causes of non-performing loans from the perspective of Asymmetric Information Theory at KSP Kopdit Obor Mas Pasar Alok Branch. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results indicate that loan administration has not been optimally implemented, particularly in documentation completeness, creditworthiness analysis, and post-disbursement monitoring. From the asymmetric information perspective, adverse selection and moral hazard were identified as major contributors to non-performing loans. Limited borrower information, misuse of loan funds, and weak supervision were the dominant factors affecting credit quality. The study concludes that improving loan administration systems and strengthening monitoring mechanisms can reduce asymmetric information impacts and minimize non-performing loans in cooperatives.

Abstract

Village public services often struggle with slow administrative workflows, limited transparency, and unequal access to service information, particularly where processes remain manual and difficult to monitor in real time. This study evaluates a deployed integrated village information system augmented with Internet of Things (IoT) signals—RFID-based operational monitoring and water/electricity facility-status sensing—to assess whether service quality improved after implementation and to clarify the system mechanisms that plausibly explain observed changes. An explanatory sequential mixed-method design was applied. Quantitatively, a paired two-wave pre–post survey was completed by 100 residents (1 = strongly disagree, 5 = strongly agree) to measure Speed/Responsiveness, Accuracy (Information Quality), Ease of Access/Use, and Satisfaction. Qualitatively, in-depth interviews with village staff and residents, supported by field observations, were conducted to interpret quantitative shifts and identify constraints. Paired-sample tests indicated significant increases across all dimensions (p < 0.001) with medium-to-large effects (Cohen’s d_z = 0.58–0.92): Speed/Responsiveness increased from 3.12 to 3.76, Accuracy from 3.30 to 4.05, Ease of Access/Use from 3.15 to 3.70, and Satisfaction from 3.18 to 4.16. The qualitative strand linked these improvements to system-level features, including workflow digitalization with earlier verification and routing, administrative data validation with audit logging and digital archiving, and transparent request-status tracking via dashboards, while highlighting persistent risks related to connectivity reliability, operator capacity, digital inclusion for older residents, and personal-data governance. The contribution of this work is a systems-aware, field-based evaluation that couples an explicit IoT–information-system integration view (architecture, modules, and data lifecycle) with a two-wave paired outcome assessment and stakeholder explanations in a real village governance setting.
