Abstract

One well-known retreat place in West Java is the Pratista Retreat House, which is located in Cisarua, West of Bandung. It is managed by monks from the Order of Sanctae Crucis. This retreat house complex is quite large and has more than 60 rooms which can accommodate more than 200 retreat participants. Retreat participants generally rent rooms in groups. This house also provides several facilities that can be rented. Based on the survey results, reservations for retreat houses and facilities are conducted via telephone or other communication media. This creates problems both for the public (it is difficult to find a free time slot) and the manager (it is difficult to get reports of room availability timely). A community service activity by a team from Parahyangan Catholic University was working to develop an information system consisting of two website modules, each used by the managers and the public. The core features of the website for managers are for managing assets, orders, and viewing various reports. Meanwhile, the features for the public include viewing room and facility information, placing orders, and managing orders. The system has been developed, launched, and utilized by the Pratista management and is available to the public. The website for the public is available at https://pratista.oscsangkristus.or.id/.

Data collection techniques included observation, discussion, collaborative participation, and document study through several stages. The preparation stage focused on tidying up the warehouse and creating an adequate layout to facilitate the recording, management, and grouping of fixed assets. The implementation stage focused on inventorying assets in the field to improve the accuracy and currency of data related to location, quantity, and functional condition. The evaluation and reporting stage focuses on preparing recommendations for a fixed asset accounting information system flowchart in the context of inventory and asset procurement for asset maintenance needs. The results of the study provide economic added value in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of budget management for asset procurement or maintenance, while in the social sphere, it improves the quality of service and sustainable public trust.

Abstract

Tax ratio in Indonesia is persistently below the international standard of 15%. Apart from that, there were only three periods recorded in the last 16 years where the realization of tax revenues exceeded the targets. This indicates that the tax authority’s performance in Indonesia is nonoptimal. It is necessary to integrate digitalization in the tax system by seeking the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to maximize tax revenue performance. The aim of this research is to examine the impact of ICT developments with the dimensions of access and infrastructure, use and skills on tax revenues in 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2017-2021. This research also considers control variables including Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), foreign direct investment, population, inflation and the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 170 panel data were evaluated using a fixed effect model approach. All data was obtained from the Indonesian Statistics Bureau (BPS). The research results show that only the dimension of use has a positive and significant influence on regional tax revenues. The dimensions of access and infrastructure, and skills, have a positive but not significant influence on regional tax revenues. The control variables that influence tax revenues in Indonesia are GRDP, population, and the Covid-19 pandemic, while foreign investment and inflation have no significant effect on tax revenues. At the end, this research also suggests further studies to know the influence of dimensions of ICT use on tax revenues under various conditions.

Abstract

The development of information in the digital era forces librarians to change their roles to become information professionals who have modern skills to face challenges in the digital environment. This study aimed to determine the extent of the studies conducted on information professionals in libraries and to find out the themes and terms that were often used, the trend of topics each year, and the social networks of the authors. The method used was Scientometric analysis using a single search in the Lens.org database. Articles were searched using the terms “information professional” AND “library” in the title. The data obtained were 1523 publications from 1950 to 2020. The results of this study showed that in 2011 and 2014 the largest number of publications were 76 and 84 articles, respectively. In addition, the average growth rate related to publications among information professionals was quite high at 29% during the analyzed period. The study themes were divided into 4 major theme groups and the basic theme was the most frequently used. Then the term that most often appears was "information" with 1110 repetitions. There were also technical terms such as digital, application, and internet which indicate that the study of information professionals had adapted to systems in the digital era. Following the trend of topics in the third quarter (2013-2020), it showed more about the LIS and skills.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of IT in improving administrative management in schools and identify its significant impact on the efficiency of school organizations. The research method used in this study is the literature method. The results of this study show that IT plays a crucial role in easing the daily operations of schools, such as automated attendance, scheduling, financial administration and student performance tracking. The use of SIS has provided a strong foundation for schools to manage big data more effectively, facilitating data-driven decision-making and transparency in communication. Furthermore, the LMS and online collaboration tools have improved communication between staff, students and parents, enabling a more inclusive and responsive learning environment. Despite significant improvements, challenges related to data privacy, cybersecurity, as well as the need for proper training for staff remain obstacles.

Abstract

Online video platforms have changed the way information is consumed and communication is conducted in the digital age. The ease of access and variety of content allows users to gain knowledge from multiple perspectives, transcending the limitations of traditional media. Video as a communication medium enhances visual and auditory message delivery, making it more effective and immersive. However, the adoption of this platform also poses challenges such as the spread of hoaxes and a potential decrease in time for other activities. Therefore, users need to be more selective in filtering information and balancing online video consumption time with other activities for healthy digital wellbeing.
