Abstract

As Indonesia promotes community-based tourism in its eastern frontier, the readiness of visual communication infrastructure in remote areas becomes a critical success factor. This study aims to empirically measure the influence of Information Clarity and Use of English on the Ease of Navigation for foreign tourists visiting tourism villages in Fakfak Regency, West Papua. The research locus focuses on four specific villages representing Geographical Clusters of varying development statuses: Kampung Ugar (Advanced), Maas (Advanced), Fior (Developing), and Patimburak (Pioneer). The study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design. Primary data were collected via paper-based questionnaires during the peak tourist season to a sample of 200 foreign tourists, selected through a combination of cluster and incidental sampling. Data analysis was performed using Multiple Linear Regression in SPSS. The results demonstrate that Information Clarity and the Use of English both significantly affect the Ease of Navigation, with English usage having a dominant influence. The study concludes that visual and linguistic infrastructure are foundational to spatial orientation, mitigating spatial anxiety in complex topographies. Practically, these findings imply an urgent need for local governments to standardize bilingual, high-visibility signage to match official tourism development classifications.

Abstract

The Ramayana is a story written by Rsi Valmiki that consists of seven parts called Sapta Kanda. The Ramayana is a cultural heritage rich in knowledge, but faces accessibility challenges in the modern era. This study contributes a novel web-based platform specifically designed to digitize and disseminate the Sapta Kanda Ramayana, integrating bilingual content (Old Javanese and Indonesian) with multi-role user interaction—an approach not found in prior cultural information systems. This development aims to design a website-based information system that can present the Sapta Kanda Ramayana story through a digital and interactive platform. The Laravel framework makes the system development process more structured and efficient. The system development uses the waterfall method, which goes through a series of processes such asnalysis, design, implementation, and testing, so that the system development process runs smoothly. The resulting system includes features for managing Sapta Kanda content, Ramayana characters, and user-contributed content. System testing uses the black box testing method to test system functionality and usability testing with the System Usability Scale (SUS) method to determine user satisfaction levels. The results of the system testing showed that the functionality of the features in the system worked well through black box testing and obtained a score of 85.4 from 21 respondents through testing using the SUS method, which indicates that the developed system is well accepted by users. This study is limited to web-based access and does not yet cover mobile application deployment or offline accessibility.

Abstract

Organizational sustainability is an important issue in the management of Islamic Microfinance Institutions (IMFIs) because these institutions are not only required to achieve economic performance, but also to fulfill social and institutional responsibilities in a sustainable manner. This study examines the influence of the Accounting Information System (AIS), Internal Control System (ICS), and Management Control System (MCS) on Sustainability Performance among 89 IMFIs in Central Java, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Smart PLS, and the findings reveal that AIS has not been able to support the effectiveness of MCS, thereby failing to contribute to the achievement of sustainability performance. In contrast, ICS has a positive effect on MCS, and MCS mediates the relationship between ICS and sustainability performance. The study concludes that ICS plays a more strategic role than AIS in enhancing sustainability performance within IMFIs. The primary theoretical contribution of this study lies in highlighting the mediating role of MCS in translating the function of ICS as an internal control mechanism into improved sustainability performance outcomes. Practically, this study provides valuable implications for the management of IMFIs by emphasizing the importance of strengthening ICS and developing sustainability-oriented MCS. The findings indicate that improving the quality of supervision, risk management, and integrated performance evaluation can support IMFIs in achieving more sustainable economic, social, and institutional performance. Furthermore, this study emphasizes that the implementation of AIS should be optimized not merely as an administrative tool, but also as a strategic information resource for managerial decision-making processes.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The present investigation was conducted to construct an empirical model explaining how patients intention to return is shaped by multiple dimensions of perceived service quality. Methodology: This research applied a quantitative method using a cross-sectional design to explore the associations among the studied variables at one specific point in time. A total of 75 outpatient respondents participated in the study. Data were gathered through a structured questionnaire consisting of closed questions measured likert scale. Collected responses were processed and analyzed using partial least squares–structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with assistance of SmartPLS version 4 to assess the suitability of the measurement model and to examine magnitude relationships among constructs. Main Findings: The analysis confirmed that every construct satisfied the established criteria for reliability and validity. Composite reliability values were all above 0.70, while.average variance extracted.(AVE) for each variable exceeded 0.50, indicating adequate convergent validity. Within the structural model, the independent variables jointly accounted for 68.4% of the variance in patients’ intention to revisit healthcare services (R² = 0.684), demonstrating substantial explanatory capacity. Each hypothesized path showed a positive direction and achieved statistical significance (p < 0.05). Of all examined determinants, service interaction quality emerged as the strongest predictor of revisit intention. Novelty/Originality of this study: The originality research lies in its theoretical contribution, as it broadens the application of the DeLone. and McLean information systems success model by adapting and contextualizing it within a healthcare service setting to better understand patient behavioral intentions.

Abstract

The era of digital technological disruption has structurally altered the press ecosystem in Indonesia. The presence of media entities operating online without established institutional infrastructure — academically termed "homeless media" — raises fundamental legal issues not yet adequately accommodated by Law Number 40 of 1999 on the Press. This research aims to analyze the legal framework for the digital press in Indonesia in the context of technological disruption, identify existing normative gaps, and formulate a legal framework reconstruction capable of realizing responsible freedom of information. This research employs a normative juridical method with four approaches: statutory, conceptual, historical, and comparative law. Comparative studies were conducted on the digital press regulatory systems of South Korea, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Germany. The findings identify five main normative gaps: (1) the absence of an inclusive definition of digital press legal subjects; (2) the inadequacy of online media verification mechanisms; (3) the weakness of digital journalist protection; (4) ambiguity in liability regimes; and (5) normative disharmony between the Press Law and the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (EIT Law). Legal reconstruction is required through a progressive legal paradigm that prioritizes the social function of the press over institutional formalism
