Abstract

The rapid development of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) has introduced new security challenges, particularly in protecting Controller Area Network (CAN Bus) communications from cyberattacks such as Denial of Service (DoS) and spoofing attacks. This study proposes the implementation of the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) algorithm combined with Information Gain feature selection to improve intrusion detection performance in IoV environments. The CICIoV2024 dataset, which represents both benign and malicious traffic, is used as the primary data source. The research process includes data integration, preprocessing, feature selection, data splitting, and model training using a 5-fold cross-validation approach. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model achieves outstanding performance, with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score exceeding 99.99%, and an Area Under Curve (AUC) value approaching 1.00. Furthermore, Information Gain successfully identifies the most influential CAN payload features, enhancing model efficiency without sacrificing accuracy. These findings confirm that the combination of Information Gain and XGBoost is highly effective for developing a fast, accurate, and efficient intrusion detection system in IoV networks.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Analisis Spasial, Curah Hujan, Demam Berdarah Dengue, Kepadatan Penduduk, Sistem Informasi Geografis Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a vector-borne disease that remains a public health problem in Indonesia, with its distribution pattern influenced by environmental and demographic factors. Micro-scale spatial analysis approaches remain limited; therefore, the integrating of methods such as autocorrelation, overlay, and buffering is necessary to support more targeted interventions. Weru Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency, recorded the highest number of DHF cases in 2024. This study aimed to analyze the spatial distribution pattern of DHF cases and its relationship with population density and rainfall. The study employed a quantitative spatial autocorrelation approach using a Geographic Information System (GIS) framework, including thematic mapping, overlay, buffering, and Bivariate Moran’s I testing, and Moran scatterplot analysis based on village-level secondary data from 2024. The results showed that the spatial relationship between population density, rainfall, and DHF cases was weak and did not form significant clusters (Moran’s I values were colose to zero and negative). However, a high concentration of cases was identified in Tegalsari and Karakan Villages, which was influenced by local environmental factors such as drainage conditions and spatial proximity. In conclusion, the distribution of DHF was more strongly influenced by micro-environmental heterogeneity than by macro-level factors. Therefore, control strategies should focus on micro-area-based interventions in high-risk zones. Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the integration of financial accounting and Accounting Information Systems (AIS) in supporting social and environmental accounting (SEA) within the public sector. It addresses the limited empirical evidence on how integrated accounting systems contribute to broader accountability beyond financial reporting, particularly in local government contexts in developing countries. Methods – A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed. Data were collected from 200 public sector employees in Mataram City using structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships among financial accounting–AIS integration, financial accounting quality, AIS effectiveness, and SEA. Findings – The results indicate that financial accounting–AIS integration significantly improves AIS effectiveness (β = 0.36; p < 0.001), while financial accounting quality also has a significant effect (β = 0.41; p < 0.001). AIS effectiveness is positively associated with SEA (β = 0.39; p < 0.001). Financial accounting–AIS integration and financial accounting quality also have significant direct effects on SEA. The model explains 64% of SEA variance. AIS effectiveness partially mediates the relationships between accounting practices and SEA, since the direct effects remain significant. Research Implications – The cross-sectional design and focus on a single local government limit the generalizability of the findings. The use of self-reported survey data may introduce response bias and reflects employees’ perceptions of SEA practices rather than objective disclosure evidence. Nevertheless, the study provides insights into how integrated accounting systems are associated with perceived improvements in sustainability-related reporting. Originality – This study offers an integrative framework that connects financial accounting, AIS, andSEA in a public sector context. It contributes empirical evidence from a developing country and highlights the role of AIS effectiveness as a partial mediating mechanism supporting sustainability-oriented accountability.
