Abstract

Legal language is not the language that stands alone, but rather a special Indonesian which applied to the field of law. Statutory language should not leave the rules that apply in Indonesian, both on sentence structure, word origin, meaning and other rules applicable in Indonesian. Conceptual mindset is a practical theory in making a scientific essay, of course, the legal language also have characteristics in accordance with the characters contained in the legal science itself, in some instances the use of legal language different from the general Indonesian language, but the difference is merely casuistry, including the use of language in other scientific, it can be seen from the use of the word which is only valid for a certain science that we call functional language or profession languages. The diversity of Indonesian law in terms of linguistics is a meta language that is diverse results of the study or product of human thought which is not limited to just one language, but also involves other scientific. In light of the language of law, Indonesian law is the primary means for carrying out their profession, so the language professions have different features from a variety of common language. Abstract

This research was motivated by learning affected by the Covid-19 pandemic at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Pasundan University (Unpas) Bandung using the Moodle application (e-learning FKIP Unpas). This study aims to determine the mechanism for implementing the online learning process carried out at PBSI FKIP Unpas, to determine student satisfaction in carrying out online learning using the Moodle application, and to identify the effectiveness of online learning implemented at PBSI FKIP Unpas. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach that focuses on ongoing events and the results will be analyzed. The results of this study, namely the online learning mechanism applied at PBSI FKIP Unpas, were compiled and implemented systematically, starting from student registration as course participants to the actual learning process. After analyzing the survey results, most of the students were satisfied with the online learning mechanism of PBSI FKIP Unpas. Respondents assessed that online learning using the Moodle application (e-learning FKIP Unpas) was very effective at 23%, effective at 54%, and less effective at (16%). However, there were a small number of students who rated it as ineffective, namely 7%, while those who rated it very ineffective were 0%. Based on this, online learning using the Moodle application (E-Learning FKIP Unpas), is effectively applied in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program FKIP Unpas.

Abstract

AbstrakArtikel ini mengkaji makna kerinduan pada lirik lagu “Hanya Rindu” karya Andmesh Kamaleng melalui analisis semiotika Roland Barthes. Tujuan artikel ini dibuat untuk mencari makna kerinduan pada lagu tersebut dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes yang di dalamnya menjelaskan makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif interpretif atau cara berpikir induktif, yaitu cara berpikir dari khusus ke umum. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi dokumen, yaitu dengan melakukan penelusuran dan perolehan dari berbagai sumber yang terdapat data yang diperlukan. Hasil kajian semiotika terhadap lirik lagu “Hanya Rindu” karya Andmesh Kamaleng ini yaitu pertama, makna denotasinya, pencipta lagu ingin menyampaikan perasaan rindu yang sangat hebat kepada sosok perempuan yang bernama Ibu yang sudah meninggal. Hal ini dibuktikan pada setiap bait lagunya menjelaskan keinginan dan kerinduan bertemu dengan sosok perempuan bernama Ibu. Kedua, makna konotasinya, pencipta lagu merasakan penyesalan yang hebat dalam dirinya karena tidak bisa bertemu lagi dan mengulang waktu ke masa lalu dengan sosok perempuan bernama Ibu. Hal ini dibuktikan pada bait pertama dan ketiga. Ketiga, makna mitosnya, pencipta lagu ingin menyampaikan pesan bahwa mengobati rasa rindu terhadap sosok perempuan yang bernama Ibu yang sudah meninggal bisa dengan melihat foto, video, dan menghadirkan kenangan bersamanya ketika masih hidup. Hal ini dibuktikan pada bait pertama, kedua, keempat, dan kelima. Kata kunci: makna, semiotika, dan lirik lagu.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the causes of sentence writing errors in the persuasive text of class VIII SMP Negeri 40 Bandung, examine various forms of sentence writing errors, and attempt to make solutions to reduce sentence writing errors in persuasive texts by class VIII students of SMP Negeri 40 Bandung. The research data analysis technique uses the theory of Miles and Huberman in Sugiyono. The research method uses a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the research, it was found 76 sentence writing errors which included 2 unsubjected sentence errors, 5 unsubjected sentence errors, 16 unsubjected and unpredicated sentence errors, 12 subject doubling errors, 1 error between the predicate and the inserted object, 11 sentence errors that illogical, 9 errors in ambiguous sentences, 1 error in omission of conjunctions, 12 errors in the use of excessive conjunctions, 4 errors in the use of foreign terms, 3 errors in the use of unnecessary question words. Based on the results of interviewing one of the Indonesian language teachers at SMP Negeri 40 Bandung, it was concluded that the cause of errors in writing sentences in the persuasive text of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 40 Bandung, namely students did not understand the material and did not carry out an assessment or examination of the writing of sentences in student work. The solution to reduce sentence writing errors in persuasive texts by class VIII students of SMP Negeri 40 Bandung is to make interesting learning videos and carry out in depth assessments or examinations of sentence writing in students works.

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis terutama menulis cerita fantasi merupakan bagian dari sarana keterampilan berbahasa, namun permasalahan yang telah ditemukan di kelas VII SMP Indonesia Raya Bandung yaitu siswa tidak dapat mengasah kemampuan menulis sehingga kesulitan dalam menulis cerita fantasi murni hasil sendiri. Maka dari itu, dilakukanlah penelitian dengan menerapkan model transformatif. Sampel data kelas VII sebanyak 29 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 29 siswa kelas kontrol. Data diolah dengan SPSS-25, menggunakan rancangan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan model Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan uji normalitas tidak berdistribusi normal, maka uji hipotesis dapat ditentukan dengan statistik inferensial jenis nonparametrik. Pada uji homogenitas data siswa kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas kontrol bersifat sama atau disebut homogen. Uji Wilcoxon membuktikan bahwa terdapat peningkatan terhadap kemampuan menulis cerita fantasi setelah menggunakan model transformatif. selain itu, berdasarkan uji mann whitney menghasilkan nilai 0,045<0,05 sehingga Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis ceita fantasi pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Dengan kata lain model transformatif terbukti efektif digunakan sebagai model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan menulis cerita fantasi.

Abstract

Indonesian Junior High School subjects in the 2013 Curriculum are already text-based, one of which is a review text that requires students to express factual ideas according to the object or work being reviewed. This study aims to determine the writer's ability to plan, implement, and evaluate learning to write review texts; knowing the ability of students in writing review texts; and knowing the level of effectiveness of using the Mind Mapping method in writing review texts. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental involving the experimental class and the control class. As for the results of this study, the researcher was able to plan learning to write novel book review texts. Researchers obtained planning scores with an average value of 3.56 in the experimental class and 3.56 in the control class, then in implementing and evaluating learning the researchers obtained an average value of 3.58 in the experimental class, and 3.52 in the control class. , so it is included in the very good category. The results of the pretest of the experimental class students obtained an average pretest score of 44, while the control class received an average score of 18. The posttest results of the experimental class students obtained an average score of 80, and the control class obtained an average score of 37. So that the average value of the pretest and posttest of the experimental class is better than the control class. The results of the effectiveness of the Mind Mapping method in the experimental class were carried out through the Gain test by obtaining a Mean value of 64. Meanwhile, the control class obtained an average value of Mean 22 with the discussion method. So the use of the Mind Mapping method is more effective than the discussion method.

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities in schools are not uncommon to find an obstacle in understanding a material in teaching materials. Based on the data obtained by the researchers related to the revised 2017 edition of the Indonesian language textbook for class X, especially regarding the material for studying poetry in chapter VIII, it was found that students had difficulty understanding the contents of the diction as outlined in poetry verses and students had difficulty in concluding the overall meaning of the diction contained in the text of the poem. The purpose of this study is to show and describe the level of readability of poetry texts in the revised 2017 edition of Indonesian textbooks, and to describe the relevance of poetry texts in class X to students' understanding. Qualitative descriptive is the approach used in this research process. Readability analysis using Fry's graphic formula, discourse text of poetry J1 "Sajak Anak Muda" (W. S. Rendra) is in reader class 8, code J2 "Doa" (Chairil Anwar) is in reader class 4, code J3 "Have You Torn Blue Cloth in That Flag” (Aming Aminoedin) is in the 8th reading class, the j4 code “Sajak Matahari” (W. S. Rendra) is in the 7th reading class, the J5 code “Mother” (D. Zamawi Imron) is in the 8th reading class. less able to understand and still having difficulty in concluding the poetry text presented. This is considered irrelevant to the results of the readability analysis obtained, because based on the results of the analysis the readability index of the five poetry texts presented is low, and indicates that the reading area is at the 7th, 8th, and 9th class level of SMP/MTs equivalent, which means it is under class 10.

Abstract

During the current pandemic, people are looking for activities that can fill their spare time, one of which is the cultivation of ornamental plants. In addition to channeling hobbies, ornamental plant cultivation can increase people's income by marketing products to the market. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills in the cultivation of Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plants vegetatively and by cuttings, to partners and provide information about business prospects and marketing strategies for fruit and ornamental plants in Griya Prima Asri Complex, Kec. Baleendah, Kab. Bandung. The selection of the Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plant as the object of service because this plant can grow in Indonesian climatic conditions, easy to care for, easy to observe and measure its growth, such as number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, stem height, and root length. In addition, marketing assistance for ornamental plant products and fruit plants that are developed vegetatively is also carried out. The methods used are socialization, workshops/training, and monitoring. The results of this activity were 90% of the participants stated that the ornamental plant propagation training provided benefits and knowledge to cultivate and develop them into entrepreneurial prospects, in the midst of many people who lost their jobs due to the impact of the pandemic.

Abstract

GLS is an effort in the form of participatory activities by involving school residents so that students get used to reading. Various studies that say that the literacy ability of students in Indonesia is quite alarming. Based on the author's observations, the library that should be used as a place to read books is only used as a place to store books. so with this GLS, it is expected that students' reading literacy skills will increase. This study aims to describe the teacher's understanding of the GLS and to describe the implementation that teachers do to support the student literacy movement nationally. The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach. Qualitative approach is used to describe, describe, explore and describe related to this research. While the type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the teacher's understanding of the national student literacy movement was quite good, and adapted to the abilities of the students, while the teacher's implementation was still focused on improving reading and writing skills and increasing self-confidence, namely through singing the national compulsory anthem, reading Alternately illustrated story books are provided in the reading corner and library, while the activities carried out in the GLS are reading short letters, singing the national anthem, and reading multiplication. The conclusion from the above findings is that in its implementation it is not only in the fields of linguistics and literature, mathematics, and science but also in the fields of religion and SBDP. It looks on the activities carried out in the implementation of literacy activities nationally although not yet maximal.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the existence of an imbalance in the understanding of the Sundanese students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program FKIP UNPAS in understanding statements or expressions that use regional languages. In contrast to their speed at understanding statements expressed in a foreign language, or Indonesian. In addition, in everyday life there are still many people who cannot speak the local language, and even seem afraid to use it. Moreover, with the increasing number of foreign terms used in daily activities, as well as the intensity of globalized communication, it is increasingly adding to the scarcity of the use of the regional language. Of course this is very ironic, because many people, including students, do not understand their own regional language, while foreign languages ​​or other second languages ​​are very quickly understood. The low interest of local language students, as well as the existence of different thoughts and treatments on the use of regional languages, as well as the lack of student understanding of regional languages ​​and cultures encourage writers to find a solution by utilizing existing conditions through learning local languages ​​based on local wisdom by utilizing audio-visual media. . Therefore, the authors feel the need to improve their abilities and attitudes, especially the students towards their own regional language. In order to improve students' ability to understand the local language, the author tries to provide a learning of regional language skills by raising the culture or habits according to local wisdom in their respective regions.The study was conducted in the learning of regional languages ​​with the aim of increasing the willingness and ability of students to preserve regional languages ​​and cultures. The research method that the author uses is to use the experimental method. This method is used to test the effectiveness of using Audio-Visual Media in learning local languages ​​by raising local wisdom. The research technique that the author uses is a test and questionnaire technique. The test is used to measure regional language skills productively (speaking and writing) by utilizing audio-visual media. While the questionnaire was used to determine the responses and attitudes of students towards learning and efforts to preserve local languages. By creating a creative and innovative learning, this research tries to provide a solution to answer the existing demands and needs. The results of this study are expected to be an effort in the preservation of regional languages, especially for students as the most important part in agents of change in the preservation of the regional language. With the packaging of regional language learning that elevates local wisdom through audio-visual media, it is hoped that students' love for the language and culture of their own region will be embedded. and international. For this reason, the author feels it is important to conduct this research as an effort to preserve the local language.
