Abstract

Purpose – Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production fluctuates with Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) supply and operational conditions, making production planning difficult for palm oil mills. This study develops a CPO production prediction information system that integrates a simple linear regression model into a Progressive Web Application (PWA) to provide an accessible decision-support tool. Methods – The study used 39 monthly production records from PTPN IV Regional II Adolina Palm Oil Mill, covering January 2023 to March 2026. FFB was used as the independent variable and CPO production as the dependent variable. The model was developed using simple linear regression, evaluated through an 80/20 train-test split, MAE, RMSE, and R², and implemented in a PWA-based system using PHP and MySQL. Findings – The regression model produced the equation Y = -101.869 + 0.238X. The model achieved R² = 0.872, MAE = 279.80 tons, and RMSE = 335.72 tons. With average monthly CPO production of 2,000–3,000 tons, the MAE represents an approximate error rate of 10–14%, indicating moderate predictive performance. Research implications – The findings are useful for preliminary production planning, but generalization is limited by the use of one predictor, 39 observations, one palm oil mill, and the absence of k-fold cross-validation. Originality – This study contributes by combining an interpretable linear regression model with a PWA-based system for real-time CPO prediction and visualization.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research addresses the challenges Generation Z hospitality students face in adapting to the use of Hotel Information Systems (HIS) through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The dynamic hospitality industry presents opportunities for businesses to innovate and enhance guest experiences through integrating technology, including HIS. This study utilizes a quantitative approach and a questionnaire to collect data from 212 students at the Bandung Tourism Academy who are currently taking or have completed HIS courses. The minimum representative sample size was 137 respondents based on proportional random sampling. The findings demonstrate that learning new technology, such as HIS, can significantly influence Generation Z hospitality students' perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors toward technology adoption within the TAM framework. This study explores how perceived usefulness and ease of use impact students' attitudes and behavioral intention to use HIS. Technological innovation in learning HIS catalyzes shaping students' acceptance and utilization of technology, supporting their proficiency in hotel operations. This research provides valuable insights for educators and industry professionals to enhance training and integration strategies by examining the relationship between Generation Z hospitality students and HIS. The study's outcomes contribute to the broader understanding of TAM's application in the hospitality industry, offering practical implications for improving technology adoption and operational efficiency.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menjawab tantangan yang dihadapi mahasiswa perhotelan generasi Z dalam beradaptasi dengan penggunaan Sistem Informasi Hotel (SIH) melalui Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Industri perhotelan yang dinamis memberikan peluang bagi bisnis untuk berinovasi dan meningkatkan pengalaman tamu melalui integrasi teknologi, termasuk SIH. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data dari 212 mahasiswa Akademi Pariwisata Bandung yang sedang atau telah menyelesaikan mata kuliah ini. Jumlah sampel minimal yang representatif adalah 137 responden berdasarkan proporsional random sampling. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa mempelajari teknologi baru, seperti HIS, dapat secara signifikan mempengaruhi persepsi, sikap, dan perilaku siswa perhotelan Generasi Z terhadap adopsi teknologi dalam kerangka TAM. Studi ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana persepsi kegunaan dan kemudahan penggunaan berdampak pada sikap dan niat perilaku siswa untuk menggunakan SIH. Inovasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran HIS menjadi katalis pembentukan penerimaan dan pemanfaatan teknologi oleh siswa, mendukung kemahiran mereka dalam operasional hotel. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi para pendidik dan profesional industri untuk meningkatkan strategi pelatihan dan integrasi dengan mengkaji hubungan antara mahasiswa perhotelan Generasi Z dan HIS. Hasil penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih luas mengenai penerapan TAM di industri perhotelan, menawarkan implikasi praktis untuk meningkatkan adopsi teknologi dan efisiensi operasional.

Abstract

Smoking is responsible for a high proportion of morbidity and mortality in Indonesia. Because of the loss in terms of health and economy, the smoking cessation program is the main treatment option for smokers. The information-motivation-behavioral skill (IMB) explains that knowledge is not the only determinant of behavior change, but also the motivation and behavioral skills of individuals. The purpose of the study was to develop a health education strategy by exploring the conditions of knowledge that could affect motivation to quit smoking. This research employed interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA) on male young active smokers as students in Surabaya, East Java, from April to July 2021. The collection of samples employed snowball and purposive sampling, utilizing the in-depth interview method until data saturation was achieved. The data analysis process involved coding and verbatim transcription of the interview results, which described the interview process and provided research reflection on the interview results (self-reflection). The study was conducted on 23 students. Most respondents fell within the 20–23-year age range. On the topic of the dangers of cigarettes, they showed they only knew that they were dangerous, but didn't know to what extent nicotine and tar were hazardous to health. On the dangers of smoking to health topic, respondents knew the impact of tobacco on health, but didn't care about the effects on health. In conclusion, the level of knowledge related to smoking cessation can inform therapeutic options tailored to individual conditions.

Abstract

Competition in the business world, especially in the pharmacy industry, requires developers to find a strategy that can increase sales of special drug sales by maximizing service to consumers. One way is to keep the availability of various types of drugs in the pharmacy warehouse. To find out what medicines are purchased by consumers, it can be done using basket analysis techniques, namely analysis of consumer buying habits. Detection of drugs that are often bought together is called the association rule. Medication is an important factor whose availability must be controlled properly in a hospital. The availability of drugs at the hospital will support hospital performance. One of the data mining methods that can be used from the above analysis is the clustering method, which is grouping data items into small groups so that each group has an essential equation. The evaluation results from this study are grouping drug data with clustering techniques to facilitate the process of grouping drugs based on drugs that are often used in a certain period of time

Abstract

Information Technology and Communication, since its massive development decadesago has brought a new paradigm of how the works can be completed. InformationSystem among its developments brings a new hope how the works can be effective andefficient. In this research, an archieve Information Sytem is developed as a mean tohelp a government office, Kantor Kepegawaian Negara Regional XIV, to manage all thecivil servants in West Papua Province. In particular, this Information System aims toease the government boars in that particular matter to store and retrieve as well astrace all the civil servants in regards their mutation, activation, reteriment, etc. Thiscould be the issue as there are thousand of them and deployed in all area in thatprovince. With the help of a Design Science Resaerch methodology in InformationSystem, this research successfully demonstrated the development and the evaluation ofworkd product.

Abstract

KKN is a form of academic activities related to community service activities that arecarried out by interdisciplinary and intraculicular activities. The implementation iscoordinated by research institutions and community service (LPPM). Data from PapuaState University students who have been modest so far, besides that there is no digitallyrecorded data, in the form of student numbers, student names, location of assignmentsor supervision. So there needs to be a MySQL database application that can facilitateLPPM and help students in the KKN registration process.The research method used is the Development of KKN Information System datacollection, analysis, design, implementation and testing. System design uses Data FlowDiagrams (DFD) and ERD (Entity Relationship Diagrams). The development of theKKN information system development using PHP version 5.6.23 and MySQL. Theadded feature is the student registration feature, KKN photo gallery upload feature,input KKN value, message input to LPPM, input announcement and upload fileattached to the announcement. Abstract

The University of Papua in the performance evaluation process still uses the automatic system manuals. The manual performance evaluation process is less reliable because it is still experienced various problems, including limited human resources in processing data, data collection techniques are done manually with distributing questionnaires requires a lot of document files as well need a long time. The existence of these problems, then made a plan Information System for the Evaluation of Academic Community Performance at the University of Papua. Expected This performance evaluation system can help overcome problems in the process collection and processing of data related to the assessment process performance. This performance evaluation system uses the Panada framework, PHP My Admin, MySQL as the database and Xampp as the offline server, and designed with simple flow and interface design so that it can be done easily used.

Abstract

Terms or tokens are the main component in information retrieval system. The use of them as index andquery affects the performance of the system. This research is conducted to observe how similarity thesaurusimproves the performance of the Indonesian information retrieval system through query expansion. By using 30sets of query and 1.000 documents, series of tests are conducted using different weight of terms in query tomeasure the performance of the system before and after query expansion. By using cosine as similaritymeasurement and the weight of the query terms, the terms used in query expansion can be determined. Twotreatments that were used are by taking 5 (TH5) and 10 (TH10) terms that has the biggest similarity value withthe query. It is found that overall the query expansion improve the performance of the system compared to theone without query expansion (NoTH). However, it also depends on the weight of the terms in the query. On threeexperiment combined with NoTH, TH5, and TH10, the results show that idf is proved to be better used as weightof the terms in query in order to improve the performance of the system, either using query expansion or withoutquery expansion.

Abstract

Cafe Cakbor 22 is one of the cafes that sells various types of drinks and snacks, it is better to have a system to meet the needs of promoting products and simplifying data transactions regarding product data and facilities provided at the café. The current system, both information related to cafes, product promotions and ordering, is still done manually. Customers view, select and order menus through the menu book provided by the waiter. So that this can hinder the development of cafes in the wider community and services that are still less efficient in terms of time. Based on these problems, it is necessary to build an information system that can assist in promoting a product so that it is neater, structured and so that consumers can more easily access everything about Café Cakbor 22. The application development method used is the waterfall method. The system is built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. With this system, it can assist cafe owners in promoting products online and can help both customers and owners in processing product sales transactions.

Abstract

This research discusses designing a website-based information system using the CodeIgniter Framework. The aim of this research is to optimize district information management, increase open access to information for the community, and speed up the data management process at the district level. The research methodology involves requirements analysis, system design, implementation using CodeIgniter, and system performance evaluation. A needs analysis is carried out to identify the information needed by the community, district government and other related parties. With the results of this analysis, system design was carried out by utilizing the features provided by the CodeIgniter Framework, such as model-view-controller (MVC) to separate application logic and display. CodeIgniter's advantages in database management and ease of web application development are the main focus in developing this system. The user interface is designed to be responsive and easy for users to use. Designing a website-based district information system using the CodeIgniter Framework can make a positive contribution in increasing the efficiency of district information management, providing better accessibility to the community, and supporting transparency and accountability of district governments in data and information management.
