Abstract

Conventional Quantity Take-Off (QTO) methods face several significant challenges, particularly in structural projects with complex details and a high variety of elements (columns, beams, slabs, foundations). The limitations of 2D drawing visualization make it difficult to interpret structural details and ensure that no elements are omitted or double-counted. One of the common issues in construction projects is the occurrence of clashes between different work elements, such as structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. If not detected early, these clashes can lead to project delays, cost overruns (rework), and even a decline in building quality. The construction project under study is a two-story building designed as an office building. As a case study in this research, this building is expected to provide a realistic picture of potential clashes and how BIM is implemented. Based on BIM-based QTO calculations that account for the impact of clashes at beam-column intersections, the resulting values are lower than those from BIM-based QTO calculations that do not account for such clashes. There is a significant difference in concrete work for column and beam elements. The total cost savings amount to Rp14,126,400.00 when accounting for the impact of clashes at the intersections of columns and beams.

Abstract

Background: Jakarta's rapid urban expansion has intensified housing demand, leading the government to deploy the Housing and Settlement Information System (SIRUKIM) as a digital tool to enhance transparency and administrative efficiency in subsidized rental flat management. Despite this initiative, notable shortcomings persist in areas such as service responsiveness, openness of information, and the willingness of users to engage with the platform. Objective: This study examines the key determinants of SIRUKIM's operational success by employing an augmented version of the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model, enriched with trust and perceived security as supplementary explanatory variables. Methods: A quantitative research approach was applied, collecting primary data from 396 active SIRUKIM users during April to May 2024. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS. Results: Findings reveal that service quality significantly shapes both system use and user satisfaction, whereas system quality and information quality show no meaningful impact on usage behavior. User satisfaction emerged as the strongest predictor of both system use and net benefits. Trust was found to be a critical antecedent of all three quality constructs, while perceived security did not significantly influence usage. Conclusion: The results affirm that user satisfaction and institutional trust are central to the success of government-run information systems. These insights offer practical guidance for Jakarta policymakers and the SIRUKIM development team, particularly in terms of improving service quality and cultivating trust-enhancing mechanisms to drive broader system adoption.

Abstract

This study examines the relationships between information overload, psychological flexibility, and career preference among Generation Z in the digital era. Grounded in cognitive and behavioral decision-making theories, the research investigates psychological flexibility as a key mechanism linking digital information exposure to career preference formation. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. Data were collected from 100 Gen Z respondents through a structured questionnaire measured on a Likert scale. The measurement and structural models were evaluated using validity, reliability, and bootstrapping procedures to test the hypotheses. The results show that information overload has a significant positive effect on psychological flexibility, suggesting that Gen Z may develop adaptive cognitive and coping mechanisms in response to high levels of digital information exposure. Psychological flexibility also significantly influences career preference, highlighting its role in facilitating adaptive and value-based career decision-making. However, information overload does not have a significant direct effect on career preference, indicating that its influence is indirect rather than direct. Furthermore, psychological flexibility significantly mediates the relationship between information overload and career preference. Overall, the findings indicate that career decision-making among Gen Z is primarily psychologically mediated in digital environments

Abstract

This study examines the management of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in supporting natural disaster management operations. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by analyzing disaster management concepts, ICT management, BPBD institutional roles, and relevant literature. The findings show that ICT management needs to be integrated into the organizational structure of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to strengthen coordination, information accuracy, and emergency response effectiveness. ICT infrastructure such as radio communication, early warning systems, GIS, databases, servers, and emergency communication networks must be supported by competent human resources. The reliability of this model depends on the integration of technological assets, trained personnel, and institutional relationships. During safe periods, ICT supports preparedness, monitoring, and data management. During disasters, ICT strengthens warning distribution, evacuation coordination, and operational communication. After disasters, ICT supports damage assessment, aid distribution, and recovery planning. Therefore, ICT should be positioned as a strategic element of disaster governance rather than merely technical support.

Abstract

The Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law) is the primary legal framework in Indonesia, regulating various acts in the digital space as non-conventional crimes. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and challenges of cybercrime law enforcement, with a particular focus on content crimes. Using a juridical-normative research method, this study examines the implementation of the principle of criminal responsibility and the validity of electronic evidence in judicial practice. The results indicate that while the ITE Law is quite effective in addressing technical crimes such as hacking, its effectiveness in combating content crimes remains limited due to the problem of "rubber articles" that are open to multiple interpretations, sanctions with a low deterrent effect, marked by a recidivism rate above 40%, and limited technical capacity of law enforcement officers. Therefore, reformulation and harmonization of regulations with the Criminal Code and the Personal Data Protection Law (PDP) are needed to create adaptive, equitable law enforcement that still guarantees freedom of expression in cyberspace

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is one of the solutions for problems regarding unemployment, a widely- -discussed issue in Indonesia. Entrepreneurial intention nowadays can be fostered earlier, making new entrepreneurs from younger generations appear. The process of becoming an entrepreneur is affected by both internal and external factors. As the internal one comes from the individuals themselves, the external one is the individuals’ surrounding environments. E-commerce provides much ease and more advantages than the conventional concept of trade since the former enables information to be procured quicker and more completely without being limited by time and place. An accounting information system is a data processing tool for information seekers. This research aims to identify the effects of self-efficacy, e-commerce, and accounting information systems on how alumni of the accounting program of Universitas Palangkaraya make their decision to become entrepreneurs. This study uses primary data, which was harvested from questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that self-efficacy, e-commerce, and accounting information systems positively affect the decision to become entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This research was conducted to design a cash receipt system and internal controls for Kartini Helm, which previously relied on a simple system and encountered several operational challenges. Before system design, it is essential to conduct an analysis based on the foundational Technology Acceptance Model to determine Kartini Helm's readiness to adopt the new system. This study utilizes a descriptive qualitative approach, drawing on primary and secondary data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation at Kartini Helm. The results indicate that the current cash receipt procedures at Kartini Helm lack structure, and data processing is neither sufficiently effective nor efficient. Implementing the proposed accounting information system for cash receipts will clarify the structure and responsibilities within each function, ensuring that data recording and storage processes are secure and systematically organized in line with established procedures.
