Abstract

This study investigates the impact of implementing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) on the operational efficiency of the human resources department and the satisfaction levels of employees at PT Pos Indonesia Main Branch Balikpapan. The HRIS serves essential functions such as tracking attendance, processing leave requests, updating employee information, conducting performance evaluations, and facilitating internal communication. Utilizing a quantitative methodology, the research surveyed 120 employees who actively engage with HRIS services. Data analysis was performed through descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression techniques. Findings reveal a positive correlation between HRIS utilization and both work efficiency and employee satisfaction. Specifically, the R² value of 0.428 indicates that HRIS accounts for a significant portion of the variability in work efficiency, while the R² value of 0.396 reflects its influence on employee satisfaction. These results underscore the role of HRIS in streamlining administrative processes, minimizing errors, and enhancing information accessibility. Despite these favorable outcomes, it remains crucial for the organization to invest in user training, ongoing support, and system maintenance to maximize the advantages of HRIS across the board.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the organizational readiness level for implementing the IT service management standard ISO/IEC 20000-1 through a clause-based assessment approach covering seven main domains, namely Clause 4 through Clause 10. The method employed in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through a questionnaire and document review, subsequently analyzed using a readiness assessment framework aligned with the requirements of ISO/IEC 20000-1. The results indicate that the organization is broadly categorized as Partially Ready, with an overall average readiness score of 59.62%. Among the seven evaluated clauses, only Clause 8 (Operation of the Service Management System) achieved the Ready category with the highest score of 72.03%, while Clause 9 (Performance Evaluation) recorded the lowest score of 41.67%, representing the most critical area requiring immediate attention. The remaining clauses covering organizational context, leadership, planning, support, and improvement were all categorized as Partially Ready, with scores ranging from 55.56% to 66.67%, indicating uneven readiness across the various dimensions of the standard. These findings are consistent with prior studies demonstrating that weaknesses in performance evaluation and continual improvement mechanisms are recurring challenges faced by organizations in the early-to-intermediate stages of ISO/IEC 20000-1 adoption. This study recommends that the organization prioritize strengthening its performance evaluation framework, leadership commitment, and continual improvement culture as strategic steps toward achieving full readiness in the implementation of ISO/IEC 20000-1.

Abstract

The class scheduling information system with the Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm method at SMK Panca Budi 1 Medan is the division of student subject time scheduling. Good class scheduling and meeting all the conditions where teachers teach in two majors is one of the things that ensures the smooth implementation of teaching and learning activities. Using another approach, namely the PSO Algorithm Method, is expected to be useful and able to provide understanding and convenience to users to make class scheduling reports into the class scheduling system at SMK Panca Budi 1 Medan, which produces class scheduling reports in an arranged manner and does not cause clashes between teachers who teach in both departments.

Abstract

This journal discusses the analysis of automation needs for the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) in the Aerodrome Control Tower unit in providing information to improve air traffic services for aerodrome traffic. The research was conducted by analyzing data and information obtained from ATC and air operators. Besides that, it also analyzes problems in the field that hinder the efficiency of the process of providing information from ATC to air operators (pilots). The analytical method used is SWOT analysis by considering internal and external factors to develop an effective strategy. The results of the study show that the existence of automation is significantly needed to increase the time efficiency of ATC in providing flight information. With automation, the provision of information can be carried out quickly and accurately to increase efficiency and safety in air traffic services. Therefore, this journal provides useful insights into improving the quality of ATC services by utilizing automation technology.

Abstract

School libraries have a very vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process, especially in today's digital era, where fast and efficient access to information is increasingly important. However, many schools, including SMP Negeri 3 Lubuk Pakam, still rely on manual library management, which faces various obstacles such as unsystematic data recording and inefficient book borrowing. To overcome this problem, this study designs and builds a website-based library information system using the Laravel framework. This system is designed to improve the operational efficiency of the library by facilitating access to information, facilitating real-time borrowing and returning books, and supporting users in finding the necessary references. By using Laravel, this system is expected to meet the needs of libraries more quickly and safely. It is hoped that with this information system, library management can be carried out more effectively, increase students' interest in reading, and support a better learning process.

The development process employs a structured and comprehensive methodology, incorporating thorough needs analysis, detailed system design, implementation using the robust Laravel framework, and rigorous testing procedures. The resulting e-learning system offers a wide range of features, including interactive learning modules, online assessments, and robust communication tools, all tailored to enhance the overall learning experience for the students and teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Medan. This innovative system is expected to contribute significantly to the creation of a more effective, modern, and technology-driven learning environment within the school, providing a seamless and user-friendly platform for enhanced teaching and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to design a website-based Digital Library Information System for SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura to improve the management and accessibility of learning resources for students and faculty. The current library system at the school is still manual, which limits the efficiency and effectiveness of accessing books, articles, and other educational materials. The proposed system is designed to provide a user-friendly interface for searching, borrowing, and managing digital library resources. Using web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, the system integrates a database to store and retrieve information on available resources. This system is expected to enhance the library’s services by enabling online access to resources, improving the efficiency of administrative tasks, and supporting a more effective learning environment. The system's design considers usability, security, and scalability to ensure its long-term viability and relevance in the educational context of SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura.

Abstract

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I or often called Pelindo I is one of the State-Owned Enterprises of Indonesia engaged in the port services sector. The student internship acceptance system at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia Persero 1 Belawan Branch still uses a manual acceptance system and students must come directly to the location to apply for an internship. So that there are often obstacles experienced by students because most likely the company is not currently opening internship acceptance or if the company has run out of quota to accept internships because the quota has been fulfilled. Following up on the problems that occurred, a design for an intern acceptance information system was created. With the hope that this intern acceptance information system can solve existing problems. Abstract

Kota Pari Village has a strategic coastal area but faces the challenge of degradation of mangrove ecosystems. Kota pari Village has the potential for mangrove forests that can be used as tourist attractions in coastal areas. This research aims to design a Geographic Information System (GIS) to support appropriate and sustainable mangrove planting planning. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through field observation, interviews, and spatial analysis. The research stages include collecting geographic data, mapping ecosystem conditions, analyzing land characteristics, and identifying potential zones for mangrove planting. The Geographic Information System is developed using Web-based software by considering parameters such as topography, soil type, salinity, and abrasion rate. The results of the study show that GIS has successfully identified 15 potential zones for mangrove planting with different levels of land suitability. This system is able to provide recommendations for planting locations, appropriate types of mangroves, and appropriate conservation strategies. This research makes a significant contribution to supporting mangrove ecosystem restoration efforts, sustainable development planning, and coastal area management in Kota Pari Village.
