Abstract

CRS occurs when there is irritation to the cervical nerve roots due to the vertebral disc bulging out. In diagnosing CRS, supporting tools such as MRI are needed. The purpose of this study was to determine how the cervical MRI examination procedure with a diagnosis of CRS at the Radiology Installation of Dr. Moewardi Hospital and why the cervical MRI examination with a diagnosis did not use the T2*GRE and Proton Density sequences. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach conducted from June-July 2023 with the object of research as many as five patients diagnosed with CRS. The respondents consisted of three radiographers, three radiology specialists, and one sending doctor. The cervical MRI examination procedure with a diagnosis of CRS at the Radiology Installation of Dr. Moewardi Hospital has no special preparation, the patient only releases metal objects in the patient's body before entering the examination room. The sequences used are Coronal T1 FSE, Coronal STIR, Sagittal T2 FRFSE, Sagittal T1 FSE, Sagittal STIR, Axial T2 FRFSE, Axial T1 FSE, and Myelography. Based on the results of the study, using T2*GRE in CRS diagnosis will produce a poor picture. While Proton Density is good for bone but because of the use of a long time and CRS diagnosis is more focused on nerve fibers and soft tissue, it does not need to be used.

Abstract

Procedure For Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Examination Technique In Brain Tumor Cases At The Radiology Installation Of Pertamina Central Hospital Jakarta. MR spectroscopy is one way of describing metabolites in tumor tissue without being invasive. Single spectroscopic approach, which is used in Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and is the most common spectral collection method in MRI modalities. MRi is the establishment of a medical diagnosis based on the principle of magnetic resonance. MRI aircraft produce images in various pieces namely coronal, sagittal, and transverse by not at all using x-rays that produce radiation and also using radioactive substances. Brain tumors are abnormally growing brain tissue cells originating from the brain or meningens, which are benign or malignant tumors that make massive pressure. MRS is a unique non-invasive sequence that helps in the identification of lesion molecules and the difference between malignant and benign lesions. In MRI examination of the brain with tumor cases there are several sequences used, namely Se / Fse Pd / T2, Se / Fse / incoherent spoiled, (DWI) diffusion weighted imaging (1) According to Elmaoglu (2), imaging techniques that can be used for MRI brain tumor cases include axial T1 spin echo, T2 fast recovery fast spin echo, T2 FLAIR, coronal T1 and T1 Axial post contrast injection, T1 coronal, and T1 sagittal, diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), magnetic resonance angiography, and magnetic resonance spectroscopy. In taking SVS LESION localizer must be precise on tumor tissue not taking part that is not part of the tumor, analyze tumor area and take SVS NORMAL localizer on other healthy tissue.

Abstract

Use Of Fat Saturation (FS) Sequences In MRI Knee Joint Examination Of Osteosarcoma Cases At Installation Radiology Hospital In Jakarta. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the medical support modalities used by doctors to diagnose a disease. MRI is capable of producing high resolution images of soft tissue and is capable of displaying various cuts (sagittal, axial, coronal and oblique) using high-strength magnetic fields and nuclei resonances of hydrogen atoms. Fat saturation is used to detect or extract signals from adipose tissue. Three methods can be used to achieve leanness: lean saturation, investment mulihan, and leaning phase. Fat sat is an umbrella term that encompasses several techniques, each with its own unique advantages, disadvantages, and strengths. During the MR imaging process, proton lipids and hydrogen protons from the air have different behaviors, and fat suppression techniques. The knee joint is a hinge joint with changes and is formed by both femoral condyles that are jointed with the superior surface of the tibia condyles. The patella is located above the smooth pateller surface of the femur and above that the patella slides as the joint moves. Osteosarcoma is a relatively common middle to high grade malignant soft tissue tumor, often with an early course affecting young patients, and most often involving soft tissue.

Abstract

In thoracic examination, sometimes patients do not understand or do not follow the instructions given regarding the inspiration needed when undergoing a thoracic examination. This can cause radiographic images that are of less quality or less informative, thus affecting the ability of doctors to make an accurate diagnosis or influencing appropriate treatment decisions. This research is a qualitative type through field observations, literature studies, and documentation. Where 50 Thorax photo images were analyzed by comparing the criteria for good and bad inspirational images. The results of the comparison will get an image that meets the criteria for good and bad Thorax photos accompanied by the causes of success and failure of inspiration. The results of this study obtained 26 Thorax photos that met the criteria for good inspiration and 24 Thorax photos that did not meet the criteria for good inspiration from 50 samples. Comparisons were made with 7 criteria, namely Costae 6 anterior right looks, costae 10 posterior left looks complete, Costae anterior right looks V-shaped. Costae posterior left looks like the letter A. Costae 6 anterior right front cuts the hemidiaphragm in the middle, Costae 7 anterior right front intersecting the right hemidiaphragm in 1/3 laterally and the left posterior rib 9 and left posterior rib 10 are visible. Where 26 Thorax photos that meet good inspiration criteria are influenced by patients who inhale well and 24 Thorax photos that don't meet good inspiration criteria are caused by uncooperative patients such as lack of hearing and level of understanding of inspiration. So it was found that the role of inspiration in thoracic examination was very important and on thoracic examination inspiration was carried out with 26 good and 24 bad.

Abstract

Radiology is one of the supporting installations in a hospital that is useful for diagnosing a disease. This requires inspection techniques and image quality, with the aim of knowing the comparison of radiographic image quality on Thorax examination of the PA projection with FFD variations of 120 cm, 160 cm, 180 cm at Sundari General Hospital, using the general radiographic modality of the Toshiba brand. The examination was carried out on 9 adult patients. A radiographic image is obtained with differences in contrast which is analyzed visually, to distinguish which image has higher quality in terms of density, contrast and detail values. It can be concluded that from the Thorax PA radiographic image, the 120 cm FFD is more optimal. And for the examination of PA thoracic patients in theory it is expected to use a 180 cm FFD

Abstract

The International Commission on Radiation Protection (ICRP) divides the effects of ionizing radiation on the human body into two, namely stochastic effects and deterministic effects. After knowing that X-ray radiation is dangerous for the human body, this can create a different perception for everyone, especially nurses. Nurses who do not have special knowledge about the dangers of X-ray radiation will have a different perception regarding the dangers of X-ray radiation. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and nurses' perceptions about the dangers of X-ray radiation. The type of research used is analytical quantitative research with a survey method using a cross sectional approach. Data was collected using a questionnaire involving 100 respondents. Next, the data was analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results of calculating the correlation between the knowledge and perception of nurses delivering patients showed an r value of 0.424 with a significance level of 0.006, so Ho was rejected, meaning there is a relationship between knowledge and perception. The results of this research show a positive and significant relationship between knowledge and perception. This means that there is an influence between the knowledge and perception of patient delivery nurses at the Radiology Installation of North Sumatra University Hospital. Meanwhile, the strength of the relationship is moderate. This means that knowledge is a factor that influences perception as well as level of education and age.
