Abstract

Manual library management still faces various obstacles, especially related to the effectiveness and accuracy of recording book and membership data. This study aim to design and develop a web based library information system at SMAN Colomadu to improve operational efficiency and encourage students' interest in reading through the application of gamification elements. The system development follows the Agile method within System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework consisting of five stages: needs analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. The system is built using the Laravel framework with the Model View Controller (MVC) approach. The evaluation was carried out through the black box testing method on ten users and showed that all features functioned optimally with a 100% success rate. Gamification elements such as awarding points and book review quizzes have been shown to increase student participation in literacy activities. Based on these results, the system is considered feasible to be implemented and contributes to the digital transformation of school library services.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a website-based library information system using the Agile method at SMK Azzahro Palembang. The Agile approach was chosen because it allows for an iterative, flexible, and collaborative software development process between the development team and end users. This process prioritizes speed in completing each development stage and allows for continuous improvement based on user feedback. The developed information system includes several key features, such as book data management, library member data, loan and return transactions, and online book catalog searches. Through this system, library management activities become more structured, efficient, and well-documented. In addition, users—both students and teachers—can easily access book availability information without having to come directly to the library, thus improving time efficiency. The trial results show that this system significantly improves the work efficiency of library staff and user convenience in accessing information. This study also notes the important contribution of the Kampus Mengajar program, which supports the transfer of information technology knowledge to schools and encourages increased digital literacy among students and education personnel. With this information system, it is hoped that library management at SMK Azzahro will be more modern, transparent, and support the school's literacy culture in a sustainable manner. In addition to the practical benefits, the development of this library information system will also have a positive impact on improving digital competency for all elements of the school. Teachers and administrative staff who were previously unfamiliar with intensive digital system use will receive training and mentoring throughout the implementation process. This will result in improved information technology skills that can be applied not only to library management.

Abstract

Church libraries play a crucial role in supporting literacy and spiritual growth by providing various reading materials such as religious books, Bible references, and other supporting literature. However, manual library management still presents significant challenges, such as recording errors, book discrepancies, inaccurate fine calculations, and difficulty in accessing past reports, which hampers system efficiency. As the collection grows, the manual system becomes increasingly inefficient, prone to data loss, and cumbersome for information retrieval. Therefore, a web-based library management system is needed to automate the processes of collection management, book borrowing, and return, while ensuring data security and accuracy. This study aims to design and develop a web-based library information system for GBI Antiokhia, utilizing the AdonisJS technology stack, to address these challenges. The system is developed using the Prototyping method, ensuring user interaction and feedback throughout the development process. The system’s features include member data management, book management, borrowing and returning books, fine management, and report generation, all built to be efficient, secure, and user-friendly. This research also examines how the implemented system can solve the existing library management issues and improve operational effectiveness.

Abstract

SMAIT ULIL ALBAB - BEKASI adalah sebuah Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Terpadu yang berada di Wanasari Cibitung. Saat ini perpustakaan yang ada belum terkoordinir dengan baik. Tidak ada catatan pengunjung, histori buku yang dipinjam juga tidak ada. Banyak buku yang dari bantuan pemerintah maupun pembelian mandiri dari sekolah yang hilang karena  di pinjam namun tidak jelas. Catatan data peminjaman juga tidak ada. Hal ini menyebabkan sekolah tidak memiliki histori catatan baik buku, peminjaman maupun pengunjung sehingga mengakibatkan sekolah tidak memiliki data akurat jumlah buku di perpustakaan sekolah. Hal ini memerlukan suatu penanganan serius pada masalah pencatatan data peminjaman buku di perpustakaan sehingga resiko sekolah kehilangan buku menjadi kecil pada sekolah ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode waterfall untuk merancang sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis web pada SMAIT Ulil Albab menggunakan PHP dan MySQL. Dengan pengembangan sistem ini maka setiap pengunjung dapat dicatat dan tersimpan dalam database untuk dilaporkan sebagai statistik pengunjung perpustakaan. Dengan sistem ini maka proses pencatatan peminjaman buku menggunakan buku peminjaman sudah ditinggalkan, input peminjaman dan pengembalian lebih efektif dan efisien menggunakan aplikasi. Dengan sistem ini maka laporan mengenai berapa jumlah buku dipinjam yang seharusnya sudah harus dikembalikan, status buku serta total buku yang berada di perpustakaan dapat lebih mudah dibuat dan dapat dicetak sesuai periode cetak.

Abstract

Abstract: The rapid advancement of information technology has driven digitalization across various sectors, including education. One crucial aspect in education is the efficient and modern management of school libraries. This study aims to design and develop a web-based digital library information system for students at SMK Rahmat Islamiyah Medan. The system is designed to simplify the management of book data, borrowing and returning processes, as well as user activity records in a digital and integrated manner. The development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which emphasizes speed in application development through stages of planning, designing, building, and implementation. The result of this study is a library information system that features user login (admin and student), book search, borrowing and returning transactions, and library data reporting. With this system, library administrative processes become faster, more accurate, and efficient, while providing students with convenient access to book collections anytime and anywhere. Additionally, the system is expected to increase students' reading interest by offering easier access and more engaging digital services compared to manual systems. System testing indicates that the application runs well and meets the users’ needs within the school environment. Keywords: Information System, Digital Library, Website, RAD, SMK Rahmat Islamiyah Medan. Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah mendorong digitalisasi di berbagai sektor, termasuk dunia pendidikan. Salah satu aspek penting dalam pendidikan adalah pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah yang efisien dan modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi perpustakaan digital berbasis website yang dapat digunakan oleh siswa SMK Rahmat Islamiyah Medan. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mempermudah proses pengelolaan data buku, peminjaman, pengembalian, serta pencatatan aktivitas pengguna secara digital dan terintegrasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan sistem adalah Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang mengedepankan kecepatan dalam pembangunan aplikasi melalui tahapan perencanaan, perancangan, pembangunan, dan implementasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sistem informasi perpustakaan yang memiliki fitur utama seperti login pengguna (admin dan siswa), pencarian buku, peminjaman dan pengembalian buku, serta pelaporan data perpustakaan. Dengan adanya sistem ini, proses administrasi perpustakaan menjadi lebih cepat, akurat, dan efisien, serta memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa dalam mengakses informasi koleksi buku kapan saja dan di mana saja. Sistem ini juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat baca siswa melalui kemudahan akses dan pelayanan digital yang lebih menarik dibandingkan sistem manual. Uji coba sistem menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi dapat berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna di lingkungan sekolah Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi, Perpustakaan Digital, Website, RAD, SMK Rahmat Islamiyah Medan.

Abstract

Abstract: Libraries are very important facilities in every school as a source of learning for students and teachers. With the development of technology, there has been a shift from manual book recording to the use of special applications to manage library data. Manual record-keeping cannot provide fast and accurate service. At SD NEGERI 067090 Medan Kota, there are various types of books, including textbooks, reference books, and many others, so a Web-Based Library Information System is needed to manage data such as member management, book input, and book borrowing and return transactions. Therefore, a web-based library application was developed with a case study at SD NEGERI 067090 Medan Kota, which will be used by the school's library administrator. The method applied in this study is the Waterfall method, which includes needs analysis, system design, and testing. The features of this application include admin login, dashboard, member data, book data, transactions, book borrowing data, borrowing reports, book return data, return reports, system users, and report printing. The results of the study indicate that this library application can streamline and simplify the process of recording members who borrow and return books at SD NEGERI 067090 Medan Kota. Keywords: Systems, Information, Library, Waterfall, WebAbstrak: Perpustakaan merupakan fasilitas yang sangat penting di setiap sekolah sebagai sumber belajar bagi siswa dan guru. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, terjadi pergeseran dari pencatatan buku secara manual ke penggunaan aplikasi khusus untuk mengelola data perpustakaan. Pencatatan manual tidak dapat memberikan pelayanan yang cepat dan akurat. SD NEGERI 067090 Medan Kota, terdapat berbagai jenis buku, termasuk buku pelajaran, buku fuksi, dan banyak buku lainnya, sehingga diperlukan Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Web yang dapat mengelola data seperti pengelolaan anggota, penginputan buku, transaksi peminjaman dan pengembalian buku. Oleh karena itu, sebuah aplikasi perpustakaan berbasis web dikembangkan dengan studi kasus di SD NEGERI 067090 Medan Kota, yang nantinya akan digunakan oleh admin perpustakaan sekolah tersebut. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Waterfall, yang mencakup analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, dan pengujian. Fitur-fitur yang terdapat dalam aplikasi ini meliputi login admin, dashboard, data anggota, data buku, transaksi, data peminjaman buku, laporan peminjaman, data pengembalian buku, laporan pengembalian, pengguna sistem, dan pencetakan laporan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi perpustakaan ini dapat mempercepat dan mempermudah pelayanan dalam mendata anggota yang meminjam dan mengembalikan buku di SD NEGERI 067090 Medan Kota. Kata kunci: Sistem, Informasi, Perpustakaan, Waterfall, Web

Abstract

Sekolah Swasta Nila Harapan is an educational institution that also feels the importance of the development of such technology, especially in the library section, where the part of library must provide information about the book data, including in the borrowing of books in libraries that currently still use the manual system in the processing of the information system of libraries. Based on the need for faster data processing, it is necessary to design a mobile-based library information system. The result and discussion of the school library information system design is hybrid which means the system is built using the website used by the administrator and mobile used by Sekolah Swasta Nila Harapan. With the presence of a mobile-based library information system at Sekolah Swasta Nila Harapan, it can make it easier for officers to make book lists without having to make a book list physically, and also facilitates officers when carrying out the process of fines such as late return of books, as well as fines when the books are damaged or lost by students.

Abstract

Di era modern Revolusi Industri 4.0 saat ini, hampir semua aktivitas kehidupan manusia tidak terlepas dari teknologi informasi seperti berbagai aktivitas organisasi, perusahaan, serta berbagai lembaga telah menggunakan teknologi informasi. Penerapan perkembangan teknologi ini menjadi sebuah peluang bagi Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia dalam melakukan optimasi pada program kerja praktik lapangan melalui sebuah website. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi kerja praktik berbasis website yang dapat mengefisiensikan dokumentasi kerja praktik seperti kegiatan kerja praktik, laporan kegiatan, serta pemberian e-sertifikat dalam sebuah website. Sehingga memberikan kemudahan baik bagi mahasiswa maupun pegawai dalam program kerja praktik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Waterfall yang lebih umum dikenal dengan Classic Life Cycle. Diharapkan website ini dapat membantu peserta dalam melakukan kegiatan kerja praktik dengan menggunakan fitur yang tersedia pada website ini

Abstract

Di era digital yang berkembang pesat, perpustakaan modern tidak hanya berperan sebagai pusat layanan informasi, tetapi juga sebagai institusi dinamis yang mampu mengelola dan menyebarkan pengetahuan secara efektif di antara pustakawan dan staf internal. Praktik manajemen pengetahuan saat ini masih terbatas, baik dalam bentuk tacit (pengalaman dan keahlian) maupun explicit (dokumentasi dan pedoman kerja), sehingga sering menimbulkan kehilangan pengetahuan institusional, khususnya saat terjadi pergantian pegawai atau rotasi tugas. Penelitian ini merancang Knowledge Management System (KMS) berbasis web pada perpustakaan digital M. Zein untuk mendukung pengelolaan akreditasi, pelatihan, dokumentasi, kolaborasi, dan berbagi pengetahuan. Pengembangan sistem menggunakan kerangka kerja Knowledge Management System Life Cycle serta menerapkan model SECI (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, Internalization) untuk mentransformasi pengetahuan tacit menjadi explicit, mengintegrasikan informasi dari berbagai sumber, dan menginternalisasikannya dalam praktik kerja. Evaluasi sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode Software Quality Assurance (SQA) sesuai standar ISO 9126 dengan menilai aspek Functionality, Reliability, Usability, dan Efficiency. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem memenuhi seluruh kriteria dengan skor keseluruhan “Sangat Baik.” Sistem ini mampu mengatasi kekurangan dokumentasi dan kehilangan pengetahuan, meningkatkan kolaborasi serta pertukaran pengetahuan, dan memperbaiki efisiensi operasional. Selain itu, sistem ini berpotensi menjadi model manajemen pengetahuan yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan bagi perpustakaan digital di masa depan
