Abstract

From the perspective of economic analysis of law theory, the increasing number of criminal convictions  would indicate that the Indonesian  criminal Code and regulations have not been  effective in reducing the rate of crimes. By combining a preliminary hearing, hearing of cases through a special route and the application of the principle of bargaining for sentence in the plea bargaining system, a new mechanism may be formulated in the Indonesia criminal justice proceedings. This criminal justice approach employs the dignified justice principle (teori keadilan bermartabat) approach, whereby, the trial of cases using a preliminary hearing as a special route under a sole judge that is intended for an accused who pleads guilty and bargains for a sentence. Accordingly, this research attempts  to explore the use of the principles of the plea bargaining system as a criminal justice model under the Law Number 19 year of 2016 on the Electronic Information and Transaction Act (“EIT Act”). Equally important, this research employs the juridical-normative method, statute, case, and conceptual approaches in order to obtain a comprehensive result.

Abstract

This study will find out the pattern of information retrieval about Islamic studies carried out by visual impairments people. This study uses a case study method. Respondents in this study were Muslim women with disabilities in the rehabilitation complex of the blind Wiyataguna, Bandung. The results showed that people with visual impairments used narrative sounds on their mobile phones to capture narrative voice abilities that were arranged at high speed. At first they used standard speed settings, but when the skill of capturing audio through the sense of hearing increased, they set the pace of the narrative to be very fast, so that other people had difficulty listening to it.AbstrakPenelitian ini berusaha untuk mengetahui pola pengambilan informasi mengenai studi Islam yang dilakukan oleh orang yang mengalami gangguan penglihatan.

Abstract

Ambient air temperature is main variable in climatological and hydrological analysis, however limited number of meteorological stations in Indonesia was becoming a problem to provide air temperature data for large areas.  The objective of this study is to generate air temparature using relationship of land surface temperature and vegetation index. A total of 6 climatological station and 84 MODIS Images for three years (2015 to 2017) were used for the analysis.  Research methods include: image georeferencing, band extraction from modis, derivation of NDVI, gererating ambient air temperature, calibrating using local meteorological station, and image interpretation. Results show that the accuracy of MODIS Surface Reflectance product to generate ambient air temperature in East Java at any periods is 86,37%. So MODIS Surface Reflectance product can be used as alternative solution to generate ambient air temperature.

Abstract

Population estimation using remotely sensed data has been largely discussed in the literature relative to human geography. However, the previously established models can be applied on organized areas (mainly urban areas) but they are not suitable for unorganized areas which already suffer from a lack of population data. So, the aim of this study is the establish a statistical model for population estimation based on remote sensing data and suitable for unorganized areas. To do so, the morphological characteristics have been studied and a bivariate analysis was carried out to determine factors having a strong relationship with population data as a first step. Second, factors with strongest correlations have been chosen to establish the required model. As a result, an equation has been generated which relates the population data to building volume, density of roads, number of nodes, actual urban areas, and urban trend.
