Abstract

IT plays a pivotal role to improve the competitiveness of the bank by providing its existing customers with satisfactory services, while at the same time bringing about a significant reduction in cost. This study measures the effect of IT factors on cost and profit efficiency of Private Commercial Banks (PCBs) in Bangladesh employing cost and profit Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The average cost efficiency (41.4%) was recorded higher than the average profit efficiency (18.8%) for PCBs. Prime bank was the most cost and profit efficient among PCBs. The Credit card transaction (0.000006) and Credit card expenses (0.0002) were observed positively significant for cost efficiency of PCBs and the IT personnel expenses (0.0015) and Credit card transaction (0.00008) were positively significant for profit efficiency of PCBs. IT factors were found more significant for PCBs in profit efficiency. The results attained from this study could aid government, managers and depositors to remove the hindrance of progress in Bangladesh. This type of empirical analysis could be applied in another sector of the economic market.

Abstract

Political communication is a very important part of the development of politics in Indonesia. Every general election will be filled with various kinds of propaganda targeting various segments of society. Identity politics is a form of public political expression that uses slogans that contain every political message. The characteristics of the use of identity politics can be identified through the concept of symbol interactionism. This study uses a qualitative approach with literature studies and focuses on analyzing the relationship between identity politics by identifying it with the concept of symbol interactionism and connecting it with Acemoglu's three-class model with a focus on middle-class voters. The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of the movement of using identity politics targeting the lower middle class on efforts to mature democratization in political communication. This research will combine the phenomenon of identity politics with symbol interactionism to a simplified pattern of political communication. The results obtained are the phenomenon of identity politics which is identified by symbol interactionism and mathematical modeling is formed as an explanation for the classification of each phenomenon. The classification of each phenomenon found in this study includes elements of (1) revolution, (2) repression, and (3) coup. By referring to the literature associated with the identity politics model in symbol interactionism, it is found that the role of the middle class is very small in the revolution, very high for starting repression, and very unlikely to start a coup.

Abstract

In the digital age, the role of information technology is needed to face competition in the community. Information and communication technology is an important element in contributing to changes that are fundamental to the structure of operations and management of organizations, education, transportation, health, and research. The internet is like two sides of a coin, the content offered is positive and negative, both are very dependent on the behavior of its users. The ease of access to the internet is increasingly being felt by the public with increasingly cheap hardware such as tablets and laptops as well as wider connection support. Various efforts to stem negative information continue to be pursued by various elements of society, but it is not effective if the user behavior is not changed. Teenagers are among the most vulnerable in the misuse of advances in internet technology, so it needs serious efforts to provide the right knowledge and skills in utilizing these advancements. By conducting workshops and motivation to improve the abilities and skills of Girimarto 1 High School students, it is hoped that school students can face the development of the digital era more readily. The results of this training gained a high level of satisfaction with the material that had been carried out.

Abstract

The learning process so far has only been sourced from textbooks, resulting in a low understanding of physics concepts owned by students. In addition, the learning model that is less varied makes students not actively involved in learning. The active physics E-Module with an Information Search approach provides new treasures in the learning process that increases the activeness and independence of students in learning. The purpose of this study was designed to determine (1) the feasibility of the product in the form of physics E-Module teaching materials that are integrated with Information Search type active learning, (2) to find out the students' responses to the active physics E-Module teaching materials with an Information Search approach that was developed. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research with a 4D model but is limited to 3 stages, namely the Define stage, Design (Design); and Development (Development) on a limited trial. Abstract

Western Java is a part of the Sunda Banda magmatic belt. This belt is well known to be host for several gold deposits in Indonesia, the distribution of 107 Au occurrences in this area was examined in terms of spatial association with various geological phenomena. The goal of this project is to use GIS to conduct weights of evidence (WofE) model for gold mineralization in West Java, Indonesia. A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system for capturing, storing, querying, analyzing, and displaying geospatial data and weight of evidence method is one of the most important datadriven methods for mapping in GIS. The method is a probability based on technique for mapping mineral potential using the spatial distribution of known mineral occurrences. Therefore this method is very useful for gold potential mapping. There are six evidences maps such as NE–SW lineaments NW–SE Lineament, host rocks, heat sources, clay alteration and limonitic alteration, have been combined using a weights of evidence model to predict gold potential in West Java. The best predictive map generated by this method defines 21.62% (9902 km) of study area as favourable zones for gold mineralization further exploration work. It predicts correctly 74 (92.5%) of the 80 model deposits and predicts correctly 26 (96.35%) of the 27 validation deposits, has 6 main 2 prospective target for future exploration are located in Bayah Dome, southern mountain, Honjie Igneous Complex and Bogor zone, Purwakarta. Bayah Dome is highest potential area for gold deposit like Gunung Pongor, Cikidang, Cirotan, Ciawitali, Cikotok destricts and other deposits. The potential area of Au occurrences in research area is associated with NE–SW and NW–SE structure/ lineaments, dominated surrounding the Tertiary intrusive rock unit and hosted in Miocene to Pleistocene lithology rock unit.
