Abstract

Indonesia is one of the developing countries in the industrial sector. Many industrial equipment that utilizes an electric motor to run the system. In running the system using an electric motor, it is necessary to adjust the speed of the electric motor as needed. The 3-phase induction motor is one type of electric motor that has a strong, inexpensive, and high-efficiency construction, so it is often used in industry. However, setting the speed and torque of an induction motor is not easy to do. Setting the frequency of the induction motor voltage can be done using an inverter, therefore a single phase inverter can be used to adjust the speed of a three phase induction motor. In regulating the speed of the induction motor, a control is needed to keep the speed constant as needed. In this study, a 3-phase induction motor speed regulation system was simulated using an inverter controlled by a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC). Based on the research that has been done, it can be seen that the Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is able to regulate the speed of a 3-phase induction motor with an error of 0.25%

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital transactions has led to an increase in fraudulent activities within online payment systems. Traditional fraud detection methods based on rule-based systems have limitations in identifying evolving fraud patterns. This study aims to analyze the performance of various Machine Learning (ML) models in detecting fraudulent transactions using the Online Payment Fraud Detection Dataset from Kaggle. The models tested include Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, XGBoost, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM). The study also evaluates the impact of data balancing techniques, namely Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) and Random Undersampling, on model performance. The results indicate that XGBoost and BiLSTM achieved the highest F1-scores of 88% and 90%, respectively, with SMOTE significantly improving recall rates. These findings suggest that ML can be effectively applied to financial security systems, with XGBoost being more suitable for real-time fraud detection, while BiLSTM excels in identifying complex transaction patterns. Future research should focus on optimizing computational efficiency and exploring Explainable AI techniques to enhance model interpretability.

Abstract

Bullying is an act of physical or psychological violence that can have long-term effects on its victims. In the context of legal protection, Law No. 35 of 2014 on Child Protection serves as the legal foundation for protecting children from all forms of violence, including bullying. This legal protection includes both preventive and repressive measures against perpetrators, as well as the provision of facilities for the recovery of victims. Moreover, social factors such as cultural norms, family environment, and peer interactions often exacerbate the impact of bullying. Stigma and discrimination against victims, which frequently arise due to a lack of public awareness, can worsen their psychological condition and hinder the recovery process. This study aims to analyze the social and legal impacts of bullying on victims and highlight the importance of more effective legal protection in reducing the prevalence of bullying in society.

Abstract

Background: The increase in population and living standards has led to high demand for beef in Indonesia, including in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. This situation requires an increase in livestock population and marketing channel efficiency. However, cattle marketing in Senyerang Subdistrict is still dominated by middlemen, resulting in high marketing margins and low bargaining power for farmers. Purpose: This study aims to determine the patterns of cattle marketing channels, calculate marketing margins, and assess marketing efficiency (farmer's share) in each marketing channel in Senyerang District. Methods: The research was conducted using a survey method with a case study approach. Respondents consisted of three farmers selected using simple random sampling and four traders selected using census sampling. Primary data was obtained through interviews using structured questionnaires and field observations, while secondary data was obtained from relevant agencies and BPS publications. The analysis was descriptive to describe the characteristics of the marketing channel, as well as quantitative to calculate the marketing margin and farmer's share. Results: The study found two marketing channel patterns in Senyerang Subdistrict, namely channel I (farmer–consumer) and channel II (farmer–collector–consumer). No marketing margin was found in channel I (0%), while in channel II it was recorded at IDR 1,250,000 per head or 7.04%. The efficiency level of the farmer's share in channel I reached 100%, while in channel II it was 92.59%. Conclusion: Marketing channel I is more efficient because it does not involve intermediaries and provides a higher farmer's share to livestock farmers. Conversely, channel II tends to be less efficient due to additional marketing costs and larger margins at the trader level. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening direct market access for livestock farmers in order to optimize income and create a more equitable marketing system.
