Abstract

Inadequate planning, housing, water, sewage, and waste management in urban and semi-urban areas produced ideal conditions for dengue viruses and their mosquito vector Aedes Aegypti to spread throughout the region over the preceding decade. Dengue prevention is primarily focused on vector control (chemical spraying, biological control, physical removal of breeding grounds, and infrastructure enhancement) and community education in the absence of a vaccine. They have not influenced the prevalence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) Public health surveillance is the systematic and continuous collection of data and information on events, health problems, and conditions that influence the occurrence and spread of disease to plan, implement, and evaluate public health practices. It is crucial in dengue management since it determines the number and distribution of cases, viral serotypes, and severity of disease in a community. The purpose of this article is to examine the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to determine the spatial distribution of the DHF Risk map in the Gorontalo Regency. The GIS system's overlay operation is utilized to combine two maps, namely the DHF hazard map and the DHF vulnerability map. The findings reveal that the Gorontalo Regency is dominated by low-risk classes, with a total area of 99,716.7 ha (46.52%). The GIS approach might be used to assess transmissible DHF risk zoning, which would aid in enhancing DHF and other vector-borne disease surveillance strategies to promote prevention and control efforts.

Abstract

The study aimed at developing and testing an ICT-based instructional software called UBDGEOMESYS, to facilitate students’ learning of selected topics in Mathematics. It is a researcher-created program that uses a language known as Microsoft Visual Basic. The respondents of the study included 2 groups of second-year Special class students of Koronadal National Comprehensive High School (KNCHS). Data for analyses were the scores from tests administered before and after the instruction. Validity and reliability activities were done to ensure the quality of the tool. The evaluation showed that the ICT-based material was of good quality along with its content, technical and instructional value. The analysis also indicated that the learning achievement of students exposed to the instructional software (R2 = 0.284) was reasonably higher than those who utilized the traditional way (R2=0.05).

Abstract

Tax audit is an effective instrument for preserving tax compliance, and risk-based tax audit selection can optimize it. Risk-based tax audit selection selectively auditing on high financial risk wealthy taxpayers. In contrast, manually selecting amid the plethora of taxpayer data is difficult, prone to human error, costly and time-consuming. Fortunately, using Extensible Business Report Language (XBRL) as a well-known financial statement reporting standard enables automation. This project proposed software named XAFR as a model for extracting, transforming, and loading the latest XBRL Open Information Model (OIM) 1.0 standard US-SEC dataset and provided it as a data source for risk classification using rule-based risk scoring and Machine Learning. Several thorough testing exposed Random Forest classifier as the best model for Machine Learning risk classification with high accuracy, revealing the excellent collaboration of rule-based risk scoring approach with Machine Learning for risk classification and the importance of XBRL as a transparent but robust report standard that tax authorities can utilize. The excellent system integration resulted in the ability to expose wealthy high-risk taxpayers and high-risk industries and predict risk classification based on two-year financial statements. Moreover, this report introduces the critical importance of RCA (Risk, Current Ratio, Assets) analysis and SIC (Standard Industry Classification) utilization to generate risk classification, rank and explanation. This project utilizes financial indicators in the limited year and leaves the semantic analysis for future works because of time and hardware limitations. The possibility of predicting the possible tax debt prediction are promising Machine Learning future developments
