Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of implementing the Ome Tv media application in learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). BIPA learning has a big problem, namely student learning motivation. A boring class atmosphere is one of the reasons students are not motivated to study BIPA. Generating learning motivation among BIPA students aged teenagers and early adults is by providing something extraordinary and new in BIPA learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research using a case study approach. The results of this research indicate that the Ome Tv application media can be used to achieve these learning objectives efficiently. The Ome Tv media application is able to deliver listening, speaking, reading and grammar courses in BIPA learning. This can provide fun learning in the classroom. The Ome Tv application is not only interesting and entertaining for students, but there are many reasons to use it in BIPA learning.

Abstract

A legendary story that can be used as BIPA teaching material is the Legend of Lau Kawar. This legend comes from North Sumatra and tells the story of the origin of Lake Lau Kawar which is full of meaning and cultural values. The aim of this research is to describe the cultural values ​​of the Legend of Lau Kawar as an application in BIPA learning. This research method is qualitative research using library study data collection techniques, the data source is the story of the Lau Kawar legend originating from Karo. The results of the research show that BIPA students can learn the cultural values ​​contained in the legendary story of Lau Kawar as follows. First, the residents of Kawar village held a thanksgiving party as a form of gratitude to God for the blessings of an abundant harvest. Second, the residents of Kawar village worked together to create a thanksgiving party. Third, you must appreciate and respect. An attitude of respect and respect for parents is the most important thing for us to obey.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of local wisdom in Timun Mas folklore as a medium of cultural recognition in learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). In the context of globalization and increasing human mobility, understanding local culture is very important, especially for those who study Indonesian. The purpose of this article is to explore the local wisdom values contained in the Timun Mas story and analyze its potential as a medium of cultural recognition in BIPA learning. This article also aims to provide a deeper understanding of how the Timun Mas story can be integrated into BIPA learning. Through the text analysis method of Timun Mas folktale and literature study, this article identifies cultural values such as loyalty, courage, and justice contained in the story.

Abstract

Technological progress cannot be separated from progress in the field of education. one of which is the spread of digital technology in various fields. BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) is an effective strategy to promote Indonesia on the international stage. To implement BIPA learning effectively, it is important to apply a modern and relevant approach. Digital media is technology that facilitates human activities. The method used in this research is literature study. This method was carried out by collecting nine academic and conference papers published in Indonesian language journals from the Google Scholar database. The literature taken ranges from 2019 to 2024. In the nine articles analyzed, studies on the use of digital media in BIPA learning apply technological media used in BIPA learning at certain levels.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Moderation-Based BIPA Curriculum of UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. This research uses qualitative methods and a phenomenological study approach. Data collection in this research is participant observation, observation, interviews and document analysis. The validity of the data in research uses triangulation of methods and data sources. The data analysis technique used in this research is the Cresswel model of phenomenological data analysis. The research results show that the curriculum management that applies to BIPA learning at UIN Raden Mas Said is 1) planning, which includes curriculum objectives, learning, textbooks, facilities and infrastructure, teaching staff, BIPA teaching methods, evaluation design. 2) organization, including study schedules and student data, tools, learning media and infrastructure, learning and its methods. 3) implementation, including learning activities, lesson plans (RPS) documents, textbooks, teaching methods, BIPA institutions related to teacher attitudes and quality, existence of facilities and infrastructure, evaluation, process and assessment. 4) supervision, which includes graduate competency standards, learning process standards, teacher and tutor standards, and learning assessment standards. Meanwhile, the values ​​of religious moderation found are tawassuth (moderate), tawazun (continuous), i'tidal (straight and firm), tasamuh (tolerant), musawah (equality), shura (deliberation), tathawur wa ibtikar (dynamic and innovative) and tadadhdhur (civilized).

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the ability to compose through serial image media in learning Indonesian for foreign speakers of Korean for the first time in an audiovisual course for 4th semester students. This research conducted on 30 semester 4 students, consisting of 15 male students and 15 female students. The learning used in this research is classroom action research with the Kemmis and McGartgart spiral model. Improved test scores compose of initial requirement of cycle I to cycle III is the average value at the beginning conditions was 59.67 with a completeness percentage of 43.33% (13 students), in cycle I it increased to 65.33 with a completeness percentage of 60% ( 18 students), in cycle II it increased to 72 with a completeness percentage of 73.33% (22 students) and in cycle III it increased to 75.66 with a completeness percentage of 86.66% (26 people). The results obtained from the class action research on 30 students, namely by increasing the average value of the initial conditions of 59.67 increased to 65.33 in cycle I, in cycle II increased to 72 and in cycle III increased to 75.66. It can be concluded that serial picture media in Indonesian language learning for foreign speakers of composing material can improve the writing ability of Malay-Indonesian study program students. Educators can use serial picture media as learning media which can improve students' composing abilities, so that students can easily develop ideas. or his mind in composing.

Abstract

Le problème principal de cette recherche est d'analyser la difficulté des tests diagnostiques de 3 compétences de la langue française (compréhension écrite, compréhension de test, compréhension orale) au niveau débutant par des apprenants indonésiens à l'Ambassade d'Indonésie à Paris. Les objectifs de cette étude sont les suivants ; 1) Identifier les scores pour les 3 compétences de la langue indonésienne par les francophones. 2) Connaître le niveau de difficulté obtenu par les apprenants indonésiens pour les 3 compétences de la langue Indonésienne. Pour résoudre le problème de recherche, une méthode de recherche qualitative descriptive a été utilisée. Les sujets de recherche étaient 80 apprenants indonésiens de niveau débutant. Les données ont été obtenues à partir de 80 instruments de test qui avaient été corrigés par les enseignants du BIPA. Les résultats de la recherche ont montré que les apprenants ont éprouvé des difficultés en compétence expression écrite avec un score moyen de 6,93%. En revanche, les apprenants trouvent qu'il est plus facile de comprendre l'indonésien dans la compétence grammaire avec une valeur moyenne de 11,14%.

Abstract

This article discusses the application of teaching materials to a BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) teaching, especially in reading skills through a culturally charged audiovisual learning medium. The purpose of this study was to explain teaching materials delivered in culturally charged audiovisual media at the basic level of BIPA teaching with short story writing skills. Audiovisual media pages also accommodate the needs of online BIPA learning. This audiovisual media can be in the form of dialogue videos and explanation videos, as well as supporting media in the form of materials or handbooks. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The reference source used here is in the form of the BIPA AI guidebook "Sahabatku Indonesia" published by the Language Agency of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The technique for checking the validity of the data in this study used a method triangulation technique by checking the understanding of lecturers and students on the use of audiovisual media containing Indonesian culture in short story writing skills. The conclusion of this study is that BIPA teaching materials, especially writing skills, use audiovisual media with Indonesian culture in short story writing skills at the basic level. This teaching material is quite helpful in providing a breakthrough and can make it easier for BIPA students to understand the material presented as well as being able to introduce cultures in Indonesia. Thus, it is hoped that with this media it can be used as a source of inspiration in further, more complete research. and innovative.

Abstract

This research analyses Thai students' perceptions and challenges in learning BIPA. Research respondents for this study were 14 international students from Thailand who enrolled in Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) at Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. Observations, open-ended questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and classroom recordings were used to obtain data and analyzed using the descriptive qualitative method. The findings indicated that BIPA students encountered several challenges in language skills, language components and cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Therefore, simple instructions and examples are needed to help them learn the Indonesian language. Moreover, having more practice with Indonesian students also helps them understand the Indonesian language.

Abstract

Penutur Arab sering mengalami kesulitan dalam tingkat fonetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi strategi Sound Association dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pelafalan pemelajar Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) penutur Arab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah single subject research, sebuah pendekatan kuantitatif yang memungkinkan analisis mendalam terhadap perubahan tingkat kemampuan pelafalan fonetik pada individu pemelajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam kondisi baseline, ditemukan bahwa persentase kemampuan pelafalan fonetik pemelajar masih rendah, berkisar antara 6,25% - 12%. Setelah intervensi dengan strategi Sound Association pada kondisi intervensi, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan, mencapai puncak sebesar 96%. Hasil penelitian ini menyoroti dampak positif strategi Sound Association dalam membantu pemelajar BIPA Arab dalam melafalkan huruf, diftong, dan gabungan beberapa huruf konsonan.
