Abstract

Online hospital information systems enable health care providers to ensure information. Although nowadays there are great technological advances; in Colombia, the impact on the health sector has been low. As a result, there is an increasing deficiency in cities with less access to new technologies. Therefore, it is necessary for the government and health care providers to join efforts to expand the use of information technologies in the health area to improve the overall quality of the service provided. Therefore, this project introduces diabetes tracking panel tests system to improve the management process. The development system is based on several Open-Source platforms, such as MySQL, among others. Finally, we found that implemented system can reduce the time management of diabetes tests by the staff medical and assistance care personal.

Abstract

Information literacy is an ability that a person needs to be able to use information correctly and identify fake news on social media. Critical thinking skills are skills related to information literacy that can help information consumers identify reliable sources while denying fake news (hoax). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between critical thinking skills and information literacy in identifying fake news on social media users. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample size of 348 people with early adults characterisctics living in Aceh aged 20-34 years and using social media. Data analysis used the Pearson Correlation technique which showed the correlation coefficient r=0.589 with a significance value p=0.000 (p<0.05). The results of the study concluded that there was a positive relationship between critical thinking skills and information literacy on social media users. The majority of the research samples are in the high category for their critical thinking skills and information literacy.

Abstract

Human errors are inevitable due to the mass customization and complex supply chain, which must be considered in the Material Resource Planning (MRP) explosion calculation and the Supply Chain Procurement (SCP) distribution of sales orders. Such errors lead to SCP problems with the subject company. The research presents the design and implementation of an integrated information system of MRP and SCP. The objective is to solve the issues in the subject company by designing and implementing an Integrated Information System (IIS) framework with an open-source software platform, which utilizes a generic Bill-of-Materials (BoM) explosion algorithm to calculate the MRP of customers’ sales orders. Then, an algorithm is also proposed to calculate SCP distribution to enable the framework in the implementation stage. The research subject is the process business in Indonesia’s local Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for automotive components. The name of the company is concealed to be XYZ Company. The calculation is introduced in the testing phase to illustrate the algorithm’s mechanism. This approach ensures a valid calculation of efficient supply chain processes. The combined approaches in the subjected business process yield satisfactory results. It reduces significant issues to 12.5% for the stated problems. Hence, the design objective is achieved.

Abstract

The research is inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic which affects face-to-face learning and leads to the e-learning system. However, educational institutions and related parties are not prepared for this sudden change. So, it is interesting to research the students’ intentions related to learning during the pandemic in the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Specifically, the research aims to analyze the acceptance and satisfaction model of e-learning users amid the pandemic. The proposed model that predicts student intentions and satisfaction with e-learning is an expanded TAM with factors such as quality of work life and information technology self-efficacy. The research provides empirical evidence related to the quality of work balance and the ability to use information technology related to e-learning access, in addition to other factors in the TAM. The data are collected by distributing online questionnaires with a snowball sampling model. The sample includes students who voluntarily fill out the questionnaire from various Indonesian universities. Then, the structural equation model processes the data using a Partial Least Square (PLS) approach and analyzes it through the SmartPLS3 program. The results show that the variables of quality of work life and information technology self-efficacy, such as computers, the Internet, and communication, can explain the acceptance of elearning models, especially during a pandemic. As an implication of the results, the teachers should focus on elearning designs that facilitate access to learning material and student-teacher interactions to attract intentions and increase students’ satisfaction in using e-learning.

Abstract

Indicators of good software development achievements are measured measurements on all aspects of software development, including the environment and systems of software. In this paper, indicators of the complexity of web-based software developed by the waterfall method with XML language-based entity database relations. This inventory information system functions as an integrated system with other systems in an integrated information system scope. Function point analysis (FPA) is used as a measuring device that can assess the complexity of components and functions of the software developed. The measurement results show that the overall value of the FPA is 180.83, which indicates that the application of inventory information systems is easy to use with low complexity. While the results of CFP and RCAF calculations also show that this application is quite simple so it is easy to use by various groups.

Abstract

COVID-19 has penetrated every aspect of human civilization. BPS-Statistics Indonesia, a government institute responsible for conducting statistical surveys across the country, also faces challenges in the aftermath. COVID-19 forces social distancing, preventing data collectors from meeting the respondents in person and collecting data offline. The data collecting that uses printed questionnaires and the centralized data processing in BPS Headquarters Office causes delays in the whole process. The issue needs to be resolved using a reliable system that can fasten the entire procedure without printed questionnaires, decreasing person-to-person contact and decentralizing the data processing to users' ends. This research proposes and evaluates SIDUBES, an information system BPS-Statistics of Bengkulu Province, to collect data on large and medium manufacturing surveys by harnessing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The model evaluates users' perception of Perceived Usability (P.U.), Perceived Helpfulness (P.H.), Perceived Assurance (P.A.), Viewpoint of Using (V.U.), and Continuity Intention (CI) in measuring the acceptance level. The results show that SIDUBES have met most of the users' requirements; V.U. and P.H. have a positive effect on CI; P.U. has a positive impact on P.A., and; P.A. has a positive effect on P.H.

Abstract

This study aims to determine parents' readiness to use ICT in children's learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 571 respondents, while the sample in this study obtained many 230 respondents with research subjects, namely parents who have school-age children (students from PAUD/SD/SMP/SMA levels and currently implementing online learning). The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive statistical techniques. The study's overall results show that the readiness of parents in the use of ICT in children's learning during the Covid-19 pandemic shows good results with a percentage of 76.09%. These results are supported by the suitability of the results for each sub-variable, namely the sub-variables of parental readiness and ICT use in online learning. In this case, it can be interpreted that an educator must have readiness and understanding of the online learning system, but parents must also understand and master the technical implementation of online learning.
