Abstract

The data collection of waqf land on SIWAK application is one form of information disclosures to the public and information exchange in government agencies to realize good governance. Unfortunately, the utilization of the SIWAK application was not carried out optimally by the KUA in Sui Raya Sub-District. This paper aims to describe and analyze the implementations and procedures for data collection of waqf land through the SIWAK application and the constraints found in the KUA in Sui Raya Sub-District. Using empirical research and the case study approach, there are three research results in this paper. First, the data collection program of waqf land on KUA Sui Raya Sub-District is divided into two: the data collection of waqf land manually and online through the SIWAK application. Second, the procedure for data collection of waqf land through the SIWAK application is the same as the procedure for manual registration of waqf land. After the pledge of waqf was pledged by wākif to nādzir in the presence of PPAIW and two witnesses, the data was then submitted by Functional Penghulu into the SIWAK application. Third, there are two constraints experienced by the Functional Penghulu in KUA Sui Raya Sub-District in collecting data on waqf land through the SIWAK application, namely the lack of human resources and the lack of available facilities,no internet network to access the SIWAK application. The author argues that the democratization of sharia carried out by the government regarding the data collection of waqf assets must be able to overcome existing obstacles to provide legal certainty and justice for Muslim communities in Indonesia in waqf.

Abstract

There was an increase in the number of late payments of tuition fees by 3,018 from a total of 5,535 students at the end of 2020. This study uses the Python library which requires data to be of numeric type, so it requires data transformation according to the type of data in the study, data that has a scale is transformed using an ordinal encoder, and data that does not have a scale is transformed using one-hot encoding. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance of the Naïve Bayes algorithm and K-Nearest Neighbor with a confusion matrix in predicting late payment of tuition fees at UMKT. The dataset used in this study was sourced from the financial administration bureau as many as 12,408 data with a distribution of 90:10. Based on the results of the calculation of the selection of information gain features, the best 4 attributes that influence the research are obtained, namely faculty, study program, class, and gender. The results of the evaluation of the confusion matrix that have the best performance using the Naïve Bayes with information gain algorithm obtain an accuracy of 55.19%, while the K-Nearest Neighbor with information gain only obtains an accuracy of 50.76%. Based on the accuracy results obtained in the prediction of late payment of tuition fees by using attributes derived from information gain, it influences increasing the accuracy of Naïve Bayes, but the use of the information gain attribute on the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm makes the accuracy obtained decrease.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there has not been a habit of using academic information systems by both lecturers and students, there are no educational staff from the field of computer science or informatics, and the limited budget they have. This research approach is a qualitative research with case study method. The results of this study indicate that academic information system planning refers to the blue print for the development, management and utilization of higher education information systems. The organization assigns a direct assistant to the Head of Academic and Student Affairs who is assisted by two operators, whose operational direction is based on a decree issued by the leadership which is fully managed by the Telecommunications Center. Coordination of academic information systems based on the participation and support of all parties. Control is carried out directly by the Chairman as the leader. The obstacles faced in general are that there is no budget available considering the need for the development of an Academic Information System that requires a large amount of money, the age of most of the lecturers is old so it is quite difficult to adapt to changes towards digital and the ability of lecturers to use information systems is still low. The solution is to encourage students and lecturers to want to get used to adapting and learning in the use of academic information systems

Abstract

Research Aims: The objective of this study is to examine the relationship ‎between Strategic Management Accounting (SMA) information, Knowledge Management (KM), and the performance of ‎Malaysian hospitals. Design/methodology/approach: A survey is employed, and data is collected using self- administered questionnaires. Responses from 95 Malaysian private hospitals were ‎analysed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) 3.0. Research Findings: The findings indicate that SMA ‎information positively affects ‎performance, and KM mediates the ‎relationship between SMA information and interpretation. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study utilised the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory to explain SMA information as a resource and KM as a capability that impacts the competitive advantage of organisations. This study ‎contributes to the line of literature on SMA information and ‎KM in the healthcare sector. Managerial Implication in the South East Asian Context: Findings of this study can be used by managers to improve SMA ‎information and KM in their organisations. Research limitation & Implications: Firstly, the data were collected from a single sector, the healthcare sector, in a developing economy and focused on hospitals. It ‎may be inappropriate for the results of this study to be used for other sectors, such as industrial sectors or in other countries. ‎Secondly, the results from path analysis do not explain for sure how ‎these independent variables influence the dependent variables. ‎Although the path analysis can reveal the significant relationships between the independent and dependent variables, it is insufficient to provide subjective information that may need to ‎be addressed using a qualitative method.
