Abstract

Digital technology has changed how people access information, especially through the internet, social media, and search engines. However, algorithmic personalization may limit information diversity and create filter bubbles and echo chambers. This study analyzes the role of libraries in raising public awareness of these phenomena in digital information consumption. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted at the Medan City Library and Archives Office with nine informants consisting of librarians and library users selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that users rely on digital media because it is fast and accessible, but this also increases the risk of homogeneous information exposure and weak information verification. Libraries support information literacy through credible sources, reference services, literacy programs, digital literacy seminars, digital library training, and anti-hoax education. This study concludes that libraries can help communities become more critical and selective in consuming algorithm-based digital information.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze religious information literacy in digital learning based on the perspective of Ellis's Information Seeking Behavior Model and examine its relevance to the principles of Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research. Data was obtained from primary sources in the form of the works of David Ellis and its development by Cox and Hall regarding Information Seeking Behavior. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from books, articles, proceedings, and previous research results that discuss digital information literacy. Data collection was carried out through documentation studies, while data analysis used content analysis techniques that include data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and synthesis of various relevant sources. The results of the study indicate that Ellis's Information Seeking Behavior Model, which consists of eight stages (starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, extracting, verifying, and ending) can be used as a conceptual framework for strengthening religious information literacy in digital learning. Furthermore, these stages are also relevant to Islamic educational principles, such as the importance of critical thinking, learning motivation, perseverance in learning, teacher guidance, and continuous learning. Thus, integrating the Ellis Model with Islamic educational principles can provide an alternative framework for religious information literacy in digital learning that is more critical, selective, and responsible.

Abstract

Digital transformation requires business actors in the service sector, such as CV. Brother Indonesia, which is engaged in Event Organizer (EO) and Wedding Organizer (WO), to have a strong digital identity to increase credibility and market reach. So far, reliance on social media has caused the presentation of portfolio information and company profiles to be unstructured, making it difficult to access information for prospective clients of large institutions. This research aims to design and develop a professional web-based company profile information system as an integrated information media as well as a support tool for Information Technology (IT) governance. The development method used is the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system is developed using the Laravel Framework and Tailwind CSS with interface design (UI/UX) designed through Figma. The results of the research resulted in an official digital platform that includes interactive portfolio features, communication contact integration, and an Admin Panel for content operational efficiency. Tests using the Black-Box method showed that the system ran stable and responsive on a variety of devices. The implementation of this website strategically supports the company's IT governance through the standardization of digital operational procedures that are more transparent, accountable, and aligned with long-term business goals.

Abstract

Digital transformation in health care necessitates HISs that can efficiently integrate people, organisations, and technology to deliver best performance in service delivery. This paper proposes a HIS performance evaluation model solution based on humanorganisation– technology fit (HOT-Fit) and information quality metrics (IQM) concept to evaluate system success technically. This model modifies the HOT-Fit model by incorporating an information quality metrics dimension with four constructs: accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and relevance. Research Methodology: The study follows quantitative approach and the survey questionnaires were filled by 150 active SIRS users from which the data was analysed using SEM. The findings suggest that the technology quality and information quality constructs significantly influence both user satisfaction and system use. Information quality is established as a mediating variable in the relationship between technological factors and user satisfaction. From a practical perspective, this integrated model has implications for understanding that achieving SIRS success depends not only on how well humans, organisations, and technology fit together but on the quality of the data and information produced. This research is a step towards the advancement of data metric based information system evaluation specifically in the domain of Health Infor matics, and also serves as a conceptual framework for enhancing HIS governance in Indonesia.

Abstract

From the authors’ initial interviews with the top managers of some small and medium enterprises (SMEs), it was found that the high cost of implementing and maintaining information technology (IT) and information system (IS) was one of obstacles they faced. SMEs that want to use IT for their business processes need to spend some money on the implementation and maintenance of and investment in IT, which is considered too expensive for many of them. The main objective of this study is to examine the adoption of IS and IT strategic planning in SMEs. To meet this objective, a car driving school company, i.e. PT. GAS, was selected as the subject of this study. As a qualitative-based study, it used a descriptive method of analysis with a number of analyses conducted in stages based on a strategic planning framework in IS and IT in accordance with the Ward and Peppard framework. Based on the results, this study concludes that PT GAS could implement IS and IT strategic planning at a low cost by contracting a web-based information system developer with per-user payments.
