Abstract

Sentiment analysis has become an important aspect of understanding user opinions regarding a product or service, including in the gaming industry. This study implements a combination of Word2Vec and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models to analyze the sentiment of user reviews for the game Mobile Legends, obtained from the Google Play Store. The dataset used comprises 100,000 reviews that have undergone preprocessing stages such as text cleaning, tokenization, and stopword removal. The Word2Vec model is employed to represent the text in the form of numerical vectors, while LSTM is used to predict the sentiment of the reviews. Evaluation results indicate that this model achieves an accuracy of 87.88%, demonstrating the effectiveness of this method in classifying user sentiment. Further analysis reveals that the majority of user reviews are positive, with words such as "good," "exciting," and "awesome" frequently appearing in the word cloud. This research can provide insights for game developers in understanding user opinions and serve as a reference for the application of deep learning in sentiment analysis within the gaming industry.

Abstract

Sales prediction is a calculation aimed at forecasting future conditions by analyzing past situations. The research method used in this study is the Research and Development (RnD) method. The modeling employs the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm, utilizing data processed through the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) stages. The objective of this research is to obtain a predictive model that can preprocess structured product data, enabling it to present a forecast for the public regarding the general overview of BBRI stock price determination, as well as to provide recommendations for BBRI stock prices that have been classified by the researcher using the K-Nearest Neighbor method. The results of the stock price prediction indicate fluctuations in value during the period, where the model is capable of capturing trends in stock price changes based on historical data. For example, on February 10, 2025, the stock price is predicted to be 4867.020, while on February 15, 2025, it rises to 5101.620. This demonstrates that the k-NN method can analyze stock price movement patterns by considering the nearest neighbors from previous data. The k-NN method has proven effective in studying historical data patterns and generating structured predictions.

Abstract

Periodic reports in Management Information Systems (MIS) play a crucial role in organizational decision-making. However, rapid data growth can degrade query performance. This study aims to enhance the performance of periodic reports in the State Revenue Collection Module (SIM MPN) of the Ministry of Finance by utilizing Materialized Views (MVs) in the Oracle database system. A dataset comprising 294,503,898 rows from 2021 to 2023 was used as a sample. An analysis was conducted on eight types of periodic report queries that traditionally relied on standard views. These queries were then converted into MVs to reduce execution time. Testing was performed by comparing execution times between views and MVs across 24 queries executed in two different environments. The results showed that the average execution time using views was 2,047,417 ms, whereas with MVs, execution times were reduced to 41 ms in the first test, 17 ms in the second, and 12 ms in the third. These findings confirm that MVs significantly improve the performance of periodic reports by accelerating query execution. The practical implication of this study is the recommendation to implement MVs in systems with large data volumes to optimize report access speed. Future research can focus on optimizing MV refresh times and further analyzing factors affecting execution time under various usage scenarios.

Abstract

The advancement of technology and the internet has transformed consumer behavior, particularly in online shopping through e-commerce. Shopee, as a leading e-commerce platform in Indonesia, accounted for 51% of total e-commerce visits from February to April 2024, thanks to its integration of usability principles in its User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX). In a highly competitive e-commerce landscape, usability is a key factor influencing purchasing decisions, as an optimal user experience can enhance trust and reduce shopping cart abandonment. This study evaluates the impact of usability, based on Nielsen’s Attributes of Usability (NAU), on consumer purchase intention on Shopee. A quantitative survey method was employed, involving 100 active Shopee users in Palembang. Data was collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that efficiency, memorability, and satisfaction significantly influence purchase intention, with efficiency having a negative impact, while memorability and satisfaction have positive effects. Meanwhile, learnability and errors were found to have no significant effect. From a practical perspective, Shopee and other e-commerce platforms should optimize memorability and satisfaction in UI/UX design—such as through personalized interfaces and enhanced accessibility—to improve user experience, drive purchase intention, and strengthen customer loyalty in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

E-commerce refers to the process of buying and selling products or services digitally via an internet connection, encompassing transactions, payments, and online deliveries. Pepito Kudus is a retail clothing business located in Kudus City. However, the store still operates using a traditional sales system and has not yet adopted an e-commerce platform. Transactions are manually recorded in physical ledgers, while customers from outside the city place orders via Facebook or WhatsApp chat, requiring store employees to send multiple product photos to potential buyers. This manual approach presents several challenges, particularly in terms of efficiency, as the purchasing process takes longer. To address these issues, Pepito Kudus requires an online sales system to facilitate more effective and efficient digital transactions. The User-Centered Design (UCD) method is applied in system development, ensuring that the design prioritizes user needs and undergoes comprehensive testing to optimize usability and user experience. The implementation of this system is expected to streamline the sales process, enable more efficient transactions, accelerate data processing, enhance sales accuracy, and provide customers with a more convenient ordering experience.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a social assistance initiative aimed at improving the welfare of underprivileged families through conditional cash transfers. In the selection process for recipients, this study directly compares two Decision Support System methods: the Weighted Product method and the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART). These methods employ different calculation approaches; the Weighted Product method uses multiplication, where higher weights have a greater influence on ranking, while the SMART method utilizes linear addition after normalization, which can affect the ranking results. Previous studies generally used only one method or compared similar methods. The criteria used include welfare indicators aligned with the Family Hope Program (PKH), making the results more relevant for decision-making in the context of social assistance. These indicators include pregnant women, the number of toddlers, the number of elementary school children, the number of middle school children, the number of high school children, employment status, income, and housing conditions. The results indicate that both methods yield the same ranking order, although there are differences in the final scores. From 20 alternative data points, five residents of Bugel Village were identified as the most eligible to receive PKH assistance: SH, ZD, SF, SU, and HP.

Abstract

Papua Island has natural and cultural richness wich is reflected in its batik motifs, such as the Cenderawasih and Tifa motifs. Although batik recognition technology has developed, systems capable of automatically identifying Papua batik motifs are still limited. This research aims to develop a texture recognition system using the Local Binary Pattern (LBP) feature extraction method and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) classification. The Cenderawasih motif dataset consists of 115 images, and the Tifa motif dataset consists of 120 images with an 80:20 composition for training and testing data. We tested the KNN model with various k values and found that k = 7 yielded the best results, with accuracy of 97.16%, precision of 97.10%, and F1-score of 97.10%. The developed GUI interface facilitates users in identifying batik motifs, providing prediction results, and texture visualization. The results of this study show that image processing technology could help protect Papuan batik. Future research could improve model accuracy by utilizing larger data sets and classification algorithms to make the models more accurate.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the digital era has had a significant impact, including on online transportation services such as Grab. However, Grab users frequently complain about slow response times from customer support when handling complaints, as well as recurring issues with the balance feature, as reflected in complaints like "saldo" (balance) and "please fix this". This study aims to identify the factors influencing the service quality of the Grab application on user satisfaction in Palembang using the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) approach. A quantitative research method was employed, involving 106 respondents who are Grab users. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 to measure the impact of five SERVQUAL dimensions: responsiveness, reliability, tangibles, empathy, and assurance. The findings indicate that these five dimensions collectively have a highly significant effect on service quality (F = 41.92). Individually, the tangibles dimension has the most dominant impact (t = 4.473, p < 0.05), followed by empathy, which also shows a significant influence (t = 2.248, p < 0.05). However, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance do not exhibit significant effects. These results highlight the need for service quality improvements, particularly in the dimensions that were found to be less significant, to enhance the Grab application’s user experience in Palembang.
