Abstract

In present times, many ecclesiastical laws are difficult to understand. This also has an impact on its application. There are some rules that are difficult to apply in certain situations. This is due to context mismatch; laws formulated based on a particular context are applied to a different context. The main question of this article is whether there is an appropriate way or norm to guide the understanding and application of rules that are sometimes out of context? How to overcome the tension between law and reality or law and moral subjects? Library research will be used to answer these questions. The library method is a series of activities related to collecting library data, reading and recording and processing research materials. According to Thomas Aquinas, Epikeia is a virtue related to the virtue of legal justice. Epikeia as a virtue will help us in applying relevant moral norms in concrete situations. This virtue comes to the rescue of the moral agent especially when he is faced with a conflict between the essence of the law or written rules.AbstrakHukum Gereja hingga saat ini sering kali masih sulit untuk dipahami. Hal ini berdampak juga pada pengaplikasiannya. Terdapat beberapa aturan yang sulit untuk diaplikasikan dalam situasi tertentu. Hal ini disebabkan oleh ketidaksesuaian konteks karena hukum yang diformulasikan berdasarkan konteks tertentu, diaplikasikan pada konteks yang berbeda. Pertanyaan pokok artikel ini adalah apakah ada cara atau norma yang tepat untuk menjadi pedoman dalam memahami dan mengaplikasikan aturan yang terkadang tidak kontekstual? Bagaimana cara mengatasi ketegangan antara hukum dan realitas atau hukum dan subjek moral? Metode kepustakaan atau Library research akan digunakan untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut. Metode kepustakaan adalah serangkaian kegiatan yang berkenaan dengan pengumpulan data pustaka, membaca dan mencatat serta mengelolah bahan penelitian. Menurut Thomas Aquinas, Epikeia adalah sebuah keutamaan yang berkaitan dengan Keutamaan keadilan hukum. Epikeia sebagai keutamaan akan membantu kita dalam mengaplikasikan norma moral yang relevan dalam siatuasi konkret. Keutamaan ini hadir untuk menyelamatkan agen moral terutama ketika ia dihadapkan pada konflik antara esensi hukum atau aturan yang tertulis.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the establishment of online churches as an alternative medium for worship during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the approach of religious people in the digital era. The case study focused on the Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP) Church of Cilegon, which had difficulty accessing a physical church in Cilegon. The COVID-19 pandemic is the right momentum to realise online worship, considering that most churches have been running online worship for approximately the last two years. The resulting recommendation is to establish an online church involving the entire HKBP Cilegon congregation with officially recognised and registered leadership. If HKBP rules and regulations can allow this, it will be the first online church in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative research methods on online news sources and supporting literature. The results of this research are expected to contribute positively to overcoming the difficulty of accessing physical churches during the pandemic and help mediate inter-religious tensions. The limitation of this research is the focus on HKBP Cilegon as a case study, and an in-depth research on the impact of online churches in the wider Indonesian society would be an interesting further study. Abstrak Pembatasan mobilitas selama pandemi menyebabkan masyarakat melakukan aktivitas secara online, termasuk beribadah. Gereja online menjadi salah satu alternatif yang memudahkan masyarakat untuk tetap menjalankan ibadah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendirian Gereja online sebagai media alternatif dalam peribadahan melalui pendekatan komunitas keagamaan dalam era digital. Penelitian difokuskan pada Gereja Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP) Cilegon yang kesulitan mendapatkan akses mendirikan bangunan Gereja di Cilegon. Kehadiran pandemi Covid-19 memberikan momentum yang tepat untuk mengejewantahkan peribadahan online, mengingat sebagian besar Gereja telah melakukan ibadah secara online selama kurang lebih dua tahun. Rekomendasi yang dihasilkan adalah pendirian Gereja online yang melibatkan seluruh jemaat HKBP Cilegon dengan kepemimpinan yang diakui, legal, dan tercatat dalam Almanak HKBP. Jika dapat diaktifkan sesuai dengan aturan dan peraturan Gereja HKBP, ini akan menjadi Gereja online pertama di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan mengacu pada sumber berita online dan literatur pendukung.

Abstract

Women's struggles due to patriarchal domination do not only occur in the Bible. This has also been felt by women throughout the ages, including in the Kanayatn Dayak culture. The interpretation and implementation of the sacred texts of the Bible are dominated by men, so that the space for women to reflect on themselves as imago-dei and the image of God in women is very narrow. Not infrequently women who are already rooted in patriarchal culture consider this to be normal and without needing improvement. By historcal-critisizm approach for understanding concept of El-Shadday and Ethnography-Thick Description for the concept of Jubata Panange as God with a female face, which is read cross-textually as an effort to present feminist theology with a new nuance, namely the cultural context of Dayak Kanayatn. Abstrak Pergumulan perempuan akibat dominasi patriarki tidak hanya terjadi di dalam Alkitab. Hal ini juga dirasakan oleh perempuan sepanjang zaman, termasuk dalam budaya Dayak Kanayatn. Penafsiran dan implementasi teks suci Kitab Suci didominasi oleh laki-laki, sehingga ruang bagi perempuan untuk merefleksikan dirinya sebagai imago-dei dan citra Tuhan dalam diri perempuan sangat sempit. Tak jarang perempuan yang sudah mengakar dalam budaya patriarki menganggap hal tersebut sebagai hal yang wajar dan tanpa perlu perbaikan. Dengan pendekatan kritik-historis untuk memahami konsep El-Shadday dan Deskripsi Tebal Etnografi terhadap konsep Jubata Panange hadirlah sebuah gambaran mengenai Allah sebagai Tuhan berwajah perempuan, yang dibaca secara lintas tekstual sebagai upaya menghadirkan teologi feminis dengan nuansa baru, yaitu konteks budaya Dayak Kanayatn.

Abstract

Pastoral counseling plays a vital role in guiding and nurturing the congregation, employing a holistic approach grounded in Christian faith principles. Pastoral counseling not only serves as an advisor but also as a spiritual companion capable of addressing the emotional and behavioral aspects of the counselee. Balancing attention to both aspects, in line with pastoral theology, provides a solid foundation for a ministry committed to spiritual recovery, growth, and transformation. The use of the Bible as the primary guide requires wisdom in applying God's Word according to its context and meaning. Balancing present-day considerations with those of the past, and understanding sin, repentance, and forgiveness as fundamental to pastoral theology, form the basis of an effective counseling approach. The stages of counseling, the role of the counselor as a representative of Christ, and the wise use of the Bible create a solid foundation for effective counseling. This study employs a qualitative phenomenological method with literature review. Data analysis includes management, reading, description, interpretation, and representation. An inductive approach is used to formulate conclusions and predictions, supporting exploration in the context of pastoral counseling. Integrating psychology, humanities, and deep theology helps counselors understand the complexity of counselees holistically. Through critical evaluation and adaptation of the approach, pastoral counseling has a positive and sustainable impact on the spiritual growth and well-being of the congregation members. Pastoral counseling illustrates the church's commitment to guiding the congregation toward deep spiritual growth and well-being.

Abstract

Structured and integrated stages for implementing BIDUK (basis integrasi data umat keuskupan) as a digital system to count exactly the total number of people of God are indeed important. These stages can accelerate the realization of pastoral ministry based on data. Through these proper phases, the real progress of the implementation of BIDUK system could be monitored and evaluated by the parish priest and respective parish BIDUK team as well as by the diocesan Bishop as the shepherd of Archdiocese of Makassar. How many stages should be followed to accelerate the implementation of BIDUK system? This research is equipped by library research and enriched by real time data on BIDUK dashboard. This is an attempt to explore the stages of implementation of BIDUK system in Makassar diocese. Consistency and continuity in keeping with these stages are the key for the successful implementation BIDUK system to accelerate pastoral ministry based on data. AbstrakTahapan yang terstruktur dan terintegrasi dalam implementasi sistem BIDUK (Basis Integrasi Data Umat Keuskupan) sebagai instrumen digital untuk melakukan pendataan umat menjadi sangat penting. Tahapan ini dapat mengakselerasi terwujudnya pastoral berbasis data. Selain itu, melalui tahapan ini perkembangan implementasi sistem BIDUK dapat dipantau dan dievaluasi oleh Pastor Paroki bersama Tim BIDUK Paroki dan juga oleh Uskup KAMS (Keuskupan Agung Makassar). Berapa tahapan yang perlu dilaksanakan agar terjadi akselerasi dalam implementasi sistem BIDUK di wilayah KAMS? Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode literature review dan dengan dukungan data real time pada dashboard BIDUK KAMS dan bertujuan mengeksplorasi tahapan implementasi sistem BIDUK. Konsistensi dan kontinuitas pada tahapan ini menjadi kunci keberhasilan implementasi sistem BIDUK untuk mengakselerasi terwujudnya pastoral berbasis data di wilayah KAMS.

Abstract

Doing contextual theology means understanding and reflecting critically on the Christian faith through a certain context. This article aims to describe a contextual theological analysis at the level of a practical model for the revitalization of masohi culture by the GPM Lilama congregation so that the noble values contained in masohi culture continue to be lived out among the members of the GPM Liliama congregation. Masohi culture is a collaborative activity carried out in social and church life to complete a job. Masohi culture is full of noble values that contain and are in harmony with the essence of the gospel in them. Responding to the problematic situation that occurred, namely the shift in values from Masohi culture, directed the church to continue to reflect and seek purification or action to revitalize the values in Masohi culture itself. Based on this, the author conducted research with a contextual theological review of Stephan Bevans' praxis model. The praxis model understands theology as a product of continuous dialogue between two aspects of Christian life, namely ongoing action and reflection. The author conducted research using qualitative methods by understanding the phenomena that occur through analytical and complex images that can be presented in words, then providing a detailed view report. The research results show that the GPM Liliama congregation has contextual theology at the level of the practical model because it is proven that there is awareness of deviations in the action of shifting values in Masohi culture which is then reflected that this is not in accordance with the noble values in Masohi culture. This provides an opportunity for revitalization actions to be carried out so as to strengthen the identity of the noble values in Masohi culture which are visible in the life of the GPM Liliama congregation. Abstrak Berteologi secara kontekstual artinya memahami dan berefleksi secara kritis atas iman Kristiani melalui konteks tertentu. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis teologi kontekstual pada tataran model praksis terhadap aksi revitalisasi budaya masohi oleh jemaat GPM Lilama sehingga nilai-nilai luhur yang terkandung dalam budaya masohi terus dihidupi di tengah warga Jemaat GPM Liliama. Budaya masohi merupakan kegiatan bekerjasama yang dilakukan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, maupun bergereja untuk menyelesaikan sebuah pekerjaan. Menanggapi situasi problematika yang terjadi dalam penerapan budaya masohi di jemaat GPM Liliama, yakni: terjadinya pergeseran nilai-nilai dari budaya masohi, mengarahkan gereja untuk terus berefleksi dan mengupayakan pemurnian atau aksi revitalisasi terhadap nilai-nilai dalam budaya masohi itu sendiri. Berdasarkan hal ini, maka penulis melakukan penelitian dengan tinjauan teologi kontekstual model praksis Stephan Bevans. Selanjutnya, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif untuk memahami fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi melalui gambaran yang analitis dan kompleks yang dapat disajikan dengan kata-kata, dan memberikan laporan pandangan secara rinci. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jemaat GPM Liliama telah melakukan refleksi terhadap aksi budaya masohi yang mengalami pergeseran nilai-nilai luhur. Oleh sebab itu, jemaat GPM Liliama mengupayakan aksi yang baru sebagai bentuk respons terhadap refleksi atas aksi yang sebelumnya. Sampai di sini, maka tampak bahwa jemaat GPM Liliama sudah berteologi kontekstual dalam tataran model praksis. Jemaat GPM Liliama menyadari akan penyimpangan pada aksi pergeseran nilai-nilai dalam budaya masohi dan kemudian melakukan aksi revitalisasi kembali, sehingga mengukuhkan identitas nilai-nilai luhur dalam budaya masohi yang tampak dalam kehidupan jemaat GPM Liliama.
