Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya
Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is an e-journal published by Universitas Tidar. The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) reviewers. Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through initial review processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to peer reviewer (Mitra Bestari) and will go to the next selection by the double-blind review process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors to revise. These processes take a month for a maximum time. In each manuscript, peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by editors according to reviewers comments. Peer reviewer that collaboration with Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is the experts in the linguistics, literature, and their teaching area and issues around it. They were experienced in the prestigious journal management and publication that was spread around the nation and abroad.

Kosa kata memainkan peranan penting dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Pembelajaran kosa kata dalam Bahasa Inggris merupakan hal yang tidak mudah terutama bagi para siswa sebagai pembelajar pemula. Selain itu, mereka memiliki karakteristik khusus yang sangat berbeda dari orang dewasa. Dengan menitikberatkan pada perbedaan karakteristik tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa para guru yang mengajar pembelajar pemula memiliki tugas yang menantang untuk dapat memotivasi mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini, para guru harus lebih kreatif dan menjauhkan siswa mereka dari rasa bosan saat pembelajaran kosa kata Bahasa Inggris. Mereka harus menyiapkan materi yang akan diberikan kepada para siswa dan juga memilih teknik yang sesuai untuk digunakan. Dengan melakukan hal-hal tersebut, mereka dapat membuat siswa memiliki ketertarikan yang besar dalam proses pembelajaran. Mereka harus mampu memilih dan menggunakan teknik-teknik pengajaran yang dapat membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan, menarik, dan menggembirakan bagi para siswa. Salah satu teknik tersebut adalah menggunakan permainan di dalam kelas. Menggunakan permainan dapat memberikan banyak keuntungan bagi para guru dan siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa menggunakan permainan dalam pembelajaran kosa kata Bahasa Inggris sangatlah efektif, karena menggunakan permainan sangat menyenangkan dan cocok dengan karakteristik anak-anak sebagai pembelajar pemula. This paper focuses on analyzing a novel entitled “A Visit from the Goon Squad” using sociological approach. The purpose is to reveal the connection between the content of the novel with the social background and history when it was written and also with the social background and biography of the author. The connection is to reveal the improvement of a literary movement in America at the time. The result shows that the author uses an experimental combination in writing the novel which is much more influenced by the use of computer. Many contents of the novel are in form of table, graphic, and some other types of presentation which are not considered as part of literary work form. This kind of style applied is largely considered as a hibridity in literature and is under the avant garde movement.Key words: Jennifer Egan, sociologcal approach, hibridity, avant garde movement in America.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan analisa kesalahan dalam experiential meaning pada teks tulisan recount mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis kesalahan dan analisis experiential meaning dalam ranah systemic functional linguistics. Data penelitian diambil dari 20 teks tulisan recount mahasiswa di kelas Writing 4 di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di Unissula. Unit analisa dalam penelitian ini adalah klausa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa omission, addition, misinformation, dan misordering ditemukan dalam analisa kesalahan dalam teks tulisan recount mahasiswa. Tingkat kesalahan tertinggi adalah misinformation yang mencapai 64,9 % atau 417 kesalahan tata bahasa. Elemen process dari experiential meaning merupakan elemen yang memiliki tingkat kesalahan tertinggi pada aspek kesalahan misinformation yang mencapai 40,5 % atau 260 kesalahan tata bahasa. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kesalahan tata bahasa yang dominan ditemukan adalah misinformation dalam elemen processes dari experiential meaning. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa di program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris masih memiliki masalah dalam menulis recount, oleh karena itu mahasiswa harus menguasai tata kebahasaan dalam menulis recount. This research was aimed to review the developing of bahasa Indonesia learning model integrated to the anticorruption education in the 7thgrade 1st semester of 1 Tembarak State Junior High School. The subject of the research was the semester 1 students of 1 Tembarak State Junior High School. The number of the participant was 40. The research was started by analyzing the students’ need by means of delivering the questionnaire and doing interview sessions. The aim of the research was to generate a product, in this case, abahasa Indonesia learning model integrated with anti-corruption education.The researcher conducted several steps in analyzing the data namely taking inventory of the data based on the overall findings, classifying the data, identifying the data based on the found special characteristics, and having reflection. The developmental research was the development of learning model in the form of bahasa Indonesia learning material linked to the anti-corruption education. The learning model of bahasa Indonesia that had been integrated with the anti-corruption education was tested to the students in the subject class. The result of the test was evaluated in order to see the product effectiveness. Then, the learning model was revised in order to improve the already designed material.This research generated a bahasa Indonesia learning model integrated with the anti-corruption education for 7th grade 1st semester students.Key Words : corruption, education, anti-corruption, integration, development

This article focuses on analyzing of expressive illocutionary act in the Big Bad Wolf: The Baddest Day comic and its translation Serigala Jahat: Hari Terburuk. Besides, classifying the type of expressive illocutionary actin the comic, it is also studied the techniques used by translator in translating expressive illocutionary act from source text to the target text. By using techniques used by translator, it could be seen the quality of translation in the term of accuracy of translation.This is descriptive qualitative research in the form of embedded research with single-case study design.The data collecting was conducted through content analysis.In this research it can be found that there are 31 expressive illocutionary act in the Big Bad Wolf: The Baddest Day comic and its translation Serigala Jahat: Hari Terburuk. The 61% of the data are considered as accurate translation, and the 31% of the data are considered as less accurate translation. It can be concluded that in translating expressive illocutionary act in a comic, it can not only look at the utterances of the speaker, but also the visualization and the context situation of the picture in the comic.Keywords:speech act, illocutionary, expressive illocutionary act, translating comic, translation accuracy.

This research aimed at (1) identifying the realization of prohibition utterances and (2) exploring the local wisdom functions and values in the form of prohibiting utterances. In this research, I used pragmatic approach. The data used in this research were prohibition utterances consisting local wisdom values done by standard Javanese dialect speaker (2) and the reseponses to the functions and meaning of the utterances. The subject of the study were Javanese speakers in Solo, Yogyakarta, and Magelang. The instruments were (1) the observation manual and interview manual. The spoken utterances were collected by metode simak dan metode cakap as well as teknik dasar sadap, pancing, dan teknik lanjutan simak libat cakap, teknik rekam, dan teknik catat. In analysing the data, I used metode padan dan metode agih. Thus, the realisation of prohibition utterances was found in the two forms including prohibition utterances with its consequences and prohibition utterances with non consequences. In constructing utterances, the Javanese speakers use phatic marker such as oalah, eh, loh, wah, hus to limit and affirm the meaning of the utterances. The realization of the Javanese prohibition utterances were delivered in ngoko form. This is because its functions as advices from elderly to young people. The speech acts uttered by Javanese were (1) as a form of local wisdom of the speakers and (2) as the form of preserving Javanese language and culture. Dysgraphia is one of the groups of children with education special needs. Dysgraphia patients are children who have difficulty in writing or expressing thoughts and feelings into written form. Dysgraphia children can not construct words well and can not coordinate their fine motor (hand) to write. The most common cause is a neurological disorder, the disorder in the front left part of the brain that is associated with the ability to read and write. Children experience an imbalance between the ability to remember and muscle motion in writing letters and numbers. Teachers who do not understand the disorder dysgraphia, often blaspheme child as a child stupid, lazy boy and bad boy. Dysgraphia children simply are not skilled writing has nothing to do with cognitive abilities. Perhaps he was a clever child. Therefore, teachers need to understand the symptoms of dysgraphia aspects, characteristics, and type of disgrafianya, then find the right strategy to help children dysgraphia in writing. Strategies that can be used by teachers is a pre-write strategy starters, tracing letters, write in block letters and cursive writing. Alas! A space, in this case the urban forest, primary considered as public domain which presence is potentially significant as the established-natural-ecology is read but a subject, or valuable entity by investors who want to take over the site to be used as a commercial enterprise promoting economic benefits. The former even tend to deny the historical values and issues on earth-conservation. The complexity of the struggle to win the dispute between the investors, brings the notion of the anthropocentric agenda with local inhabitants over an area which is home to scarce vegetation and indigenous animals, as well as water spring at the heart of Malang City becomes the main awareness excavated by Ratna Indraswari Ibrahim through her work, Lemah Tanjung. Through the perspective of Postcolonial Ecocriticism, the particular point presented in this paper is how Ecological Imperialism is narrated and presented in the novel? The discussion found several indications that Lemah Tanjung, the name of the disputed-place is attributed to and positioned as an alien or other which should not be maintained. It is exploited due to the ‘development’ by investors, teamed-up with the bureaucrat. This modern era is determined by the fast growing of information technology. It is also affected the education sector. Internet has become one alternative way for finding any kinds of information that the teacher and the students’ needs. There is no limited time and space for these kinds of technology. Teaching learning process becomes more flexible. Teacher and students could find themselves outside the classroom and regular time schedule. Moreover, students now are familiar with technology. They bring their gadget in a classroom. Sometimes, they use it for their own business when the teacher is explaining something. That is why the teacher must be creative to facilitate not only the demand for internet technology and also to increase the teaching learning process. Here, the writer proposes blog as one of the alternative media. The students can explore material that is posted by the teacher in the blog. Scientific Method menjadi terkenal di Indonesia saat Kurikulum 2013 diluncurkan olen Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan di tahun 2013. Metode ini dipercaya bisa lebih meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Proses belajar mengajar seharusnya tentang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mengontruksikan pengetahuan di dalam proses kognitifnya.Prinsip yang nyata dari scientific method adalah bahwasanya metode ini berpusat pada siswa (student-centered). Situasi dan kondisi yang membuat guru dan siswa untuk selalu berkolaborasi dengan apik di dalam melaksanakan kegiatan di kelas.Bagaimana para siswa belajar dan bagaimana para guru mengajar bahasa Inggris memungkinkan para guru ini untuk menerapkan scientific method di dalam kegiatan di kelas tanpa mengganti pendekatan dan metode yang sudah ada. Ini karena scientific method tidak hanya merupakan sekumpulan langkah-langkah yang bisa digunakan di dalam mengajar.
