Abstract

Hadith of the Prophet in the Politics of Power: Study of the Meaning of the Prophet's Hadith from the Perspective of PowerThis article describes the distortion of the Prophet's traditions by Muslim rulers to achieve their political goals. Politicians find that they can use sensitive issues by distorting the Prophet's traditions through political meaning. The goal is clear, namely to legitimize the political truth and policies of its rulers, not the truth that Islam brings. Although politicizing the Prophet's hadiths is a spiritual crime, the ruling religious experts believe that this instrument is the most effective mechanism of exercising social control to gain or maintain power. The method used is descriptive-analytic. This method describes the results of data analysis (political traditions) that have been identified. This method is also supported by theories and concepts related to the theme under study. This technique is used to create a replicative narrative based on valid data, but still pay attention to the context. After conducting studies and analysis, this study finds that the phenomenon of piracy of hadith in politics is not something new. Since the rule of the Umayyads and throughout Arab-Islamic history, religious and ideological theorizations have been described in the form of practical relations between humans, religion, and power. Political fatwas need a prophetic text frame to convince the people. The most effective way to create the principle of loyalty to power is the automation of loyalty to God. On the other hand, disobeying power means disobeying Allah (ka>fir), zindiq, apostates, and even atheists

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the hadīths and comments of 'ulamā' regarding the prohibition and permissibility of grave visitation by women. In the time of the Prophet Muhammad, the practice of visiting graves was strictly prohibited but later the prohibition was abolished. However, after the Prophet's death, the pros and cons surrounding the law on grave pilgrimage resulted in hostility, as the performers were accused of grave worship and convicted of heresy. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using the library research method with a comparative-compromising approach. The results showed that hadīths on the law of pilgrimage for women were not singular and had birthed several other laws. The admonishment of grave visitation by hadīths editors did not apply to all women because many supported pilgrimages, which made such curses nasākh. It denoted that hadīths prohibiting women from visiting graves were no longer valid, except for the 'illāt, which fulfilled the curse of women. Since different editorials will give rise to varying opinions regarding the grave pilgrimage for women, a compromise between hadīths is necessary to produce an accurate and accommodating legal formulation

Methodologically, this research was conducted using an ethnomethodological method with an anthropological approach and the science of hadith related to the search matan hadith, the research style was qualitative in the form of field research. This study found that traditional inheritance in the marriage tradition of the Angkola Batak community provides a strengthening space for the implementation of hadith values that arise in the practice of leaving fortune tellers to determine the auspicious day of marriage, abandoning the prohibition of marrying a clan, not carrying out the recommendation to marry the daughter of a mother's brother, carrying out deliberations (markobar) customs, wages and advise the bride and groom. The implementation of the Angkola Batak wedding tradition includes five parts. First;: mangaririt boru, asking the bride and groom who will be betel nut, Second: manyapai boru, which is asking a girl who previously did not know if she is willing to live together. Third; manulak sere sahatan, which is delivering the dowry. Fourth; Martahi, namely deliberation for the submission of work (horja). Fifth; mangalehen manganese pamunan means a farewell meal for a daughter because she will be sent to her husband's house. Lastly; mangolat is interpreted with permission. The elements constructed in the Angkola Batak tradition are found in the customary values and behavioural systems of the marriage tradition, which are believed to be the path to a sakinah, mawaddah, wa al-rahmah family life.

Abstract

The Meaning of Hizb in the Qur'an: Revealing the Moral Message of the Qur'an about Identity PoliticsThis article discusses the moral message of the Qur'anic verses about hizb in relation to identity politics. This study is motivated by the use of the term hizb which is not in line with the moral message of the Koran and tends to be misused for the benefit of power politics. To reveal the moral message of the Koran used qualitative research by making the verses of the Koran about hizb as the object of study. Al-Qur'an verses about hizb are described thematically with the double movement theory approach, Fazlur Rahman. The results of this study indicate that the verses about hizb imply a moral message that is directly related to identity politics, especially the relationship between the existence of human plurality and divine principles. This relationship is formed by the existence of religiosity which supports the maintenance of ethical values. In addition, progressive ideas born from a nation's democracy always rest on ethical and rational truths. Ethical truth directs people consciously to maintain their identity without ignoring rational truth. Meanwhile, rational truth is placed properly in maintaining national unity in the discourse of democracy

Abstract

Thematic Study of the Essence of the Meaning of ‘Ismah in the Qur'anThis article discusses the interpretation of the term ‘is}mah in the Qur'an. As a word with conceptual implications, ‘is}mah is often used by Muslim scholars when discussing the incorruptible innocence of the prophets from sins (‘is}mat al-Anbiya>’). This article reviews the meaning of the word along with its scope to see the appropriateness of the theological connotations by collecting all Qur’anic verses that use the word ‘is}mah and its derivations. The twelve verses collected were then arranged chronologically according to the moments of their revelation and analyzed using a thematic interpretation method. The results of this study indicate that ‘is}mah carries two meanings: to prevent or to protect (man‘) and to be steadfast (imsa>k and mula>zamah). Therefore, ‘is}mah has the same meaning as taqwa>, h}ifz}, and isti‘a>dzah. The association of ‘is}mah as a theological concept in the doctrine of prophethood, as commonly discoursed by the mufassirs, is the highest achievement. Meanwhile, the use of this term in the Qur'an shows that ‘is}mah is correlated with three other terms, namely rah}mah, fad}l, and huda>, which focus more on the process of achieving ‘is}mah in the theological context. This article concludes that the ‘is}mah of the prophets is the pinnacle of achievement of the human life process which requires vertical and horizontal faith and piety among human beings.

Abstract

Ali al-Madini's thoughts on the rule of 'Ilal al-Hadist (Study of the Book of 'Ilal al-Hadits wa Ma'rifah al-Rijal wa Tarikh)'Ilal al-Hadits is understood as a hadith that appears valid, but in fact is daif. Scholars sometimes find it difficult to detect a hadith that has illat. Even scholars say to detect a hadith that has illat required the power of intuition, memorization, a deep understanding of the hadith. Ali al-Madini became a central figure in laying down the rules of 'ilal al-hadits, his opinion was always a reference by later scholars, however, there were not many special books written on 'ilal al-hadits that studied. This study aims to examine the thoughts of Ali al-Madini about 'ilal al-hadits by referring to his book 'Ilal al-Hadits wa Ma'rifah al-Rijal wa Tarikh. Knowing the hadiths that have illat will be studied in the book. This type of research is qualitative with a philosophical approach. The philosophical approach means that the media is used to carefully analyze Ali al-Madini's thoughts on the 'ilal hadith based on his book. The results of this study indicate that Ali al-Madini in detecting the 'ilal hadith is more focused on the area of hadith sanad. He did not find his explanation of 'ilal al-hadits related to the matan of hadith. This can be a gap of criticism against him for not paying attention to the area of matan hadith. In addition, if the narrator is judged to be jarh, the hadith is considered rejected, if the narrator is judged to be ta'dil, then the history is considered valid. The implication of this research shows that the development of 'ilal al-hadiys still needs to be developed by scholars after the Ali al-Madini generation, however, Ali al-Madini becomes the central figure in determining the rules of 'ilal al-hadits

Abstract

The Permissibility of Women's Career in the View of the Al-QuranThis study discusses career women in the view of the Koran. This study focuses its study on the description of the conception of career women, its relation in the view of the Qur'an. The source of data in this study was obtained from the holy book of the Qur'an and several other sources in the form of supporting and comparison references in accordance with the research theme. This research is library research using a qualitative approach, which is trying to describe a variable, symptom or situation. The results of this paper show that Islam is a religion that is very flexible and understands women, where a career for women is okay as long as it does not go out of the corridor of Islamic teachings, namely avoiding things that are jahiliyyah such as mixing with men. foreigners (ikhtilath), showing off their genitals (tabarruj), softening the voice with the intention of attracting men's hearts, and being alone (khalwat) with non-muhrim which can cause slander. Then in its implementation, it must obtain the permission of parents (if not married) or husband, and maintain their views (ghadhdh al-bashar) and for reasons that do not conflict with Islamic teachings

Abstract

The Nature of an-Nas and Ummah in the Qur'an: Studying the Perspective of Islamic EducationHumans are creatures created by Allah SWT who have complicated devices in their creation, this is of course a form of perfection from humans, it is necessary to have a review from humans themselves. This research is a literature study with a qualitative approach and uses the maudlu'i interpretation method with a thematic interpretation approach. The essence of An-Nas with all its elements, starting from physical needs, lust, and reason, there must be a balance between these elements. The essence of the ummah which means that humans are created to have diversity is not created in one ummah, but this diversity has the same goal. The result of the discussion is that human beings are essentially created to serve as caliphs and as people to carry out Allah's commands and stay away from His prohibitions. In the perspective of education, the existence of human groups emphasizes that it can give birth to a good legacy from each generation's journey

An-Nahl: 43-44)The purpose of this study is to analyze theoretical concepts regarding the competence of ideal educators based on the Quran. In this study, the author used the maudhu'i interpretation method, which served to comprehensively explore the thematic ideas of the "ideal educator" in the Qur'an. This paper finds, in Q.S. In Q.S. Ar-Rahman: 1-5 it can be understood, that the ideal educator is one who is able to teach his students to communicate both orally and in writing. In Q.S. An-Najm: 3-10, it can be understood among the traits that the teacher needs to possess are; a. Physically and mentally strong, (شديدالقوي), b. Intelligent and intellectually high (ذُو مِرَّةٍ), c.
