Abstract

This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method. It was conducted directly on the subject, namely the female traders at the Lau Cih Central Market in Medan. Data was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed qualitatively using data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The findings reveal that the contribution of female traders in the Lau Cih Central Market includes alleviating the financial burden on their families, acting as the breadwinners or heads of households, and helping to improve family finances. Despite these roles, they do not neglect their primary responsibilities as homemakers, balancing their time between work and family matters. From an Islamic economic perspective, a wife working is not in conflict with Islamic law, as a working wife is considered to be assisting her husband in providing income, which is seen as a form of devotion in supporting the family. The factors motivating a wife to work include economic necessity, social factors, and self-actualization.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best model and method for forecasting the growth of sukuk investment in Indonesia and to forecast the growth of Sovereign Sukuk investment seven years ahead, precisely at the end of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program in 2030. This quantitative study uses Sovereign Sukuk data from 2009 to 2023 obtained from Bank Indonesia (BI). The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, which uses 179 monthly data on Indonesian Sovereign Sukuk investment. The data analysis in this study uses the eviews 10 application with an econometric approach. The results of this study analysis show that the best method for forecasting sukuk investment growth in Indonesia is ARIMA Box Jenskins with the ARIMA (7,1,1) model. The growth value of Indonesian Sovereign Sukuk investment after forecasting for the next seven years continues to increase yearly. This is triggered by the increasing public awareness to contribute to Indonesia's development. The peak growth in Sovereign Sukuk investment is predicted to occur in 2030 at the end of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda, showing a figure of Rp. 1.167.071.086.806.520. This condition should be a concern to the government, so that Sovereign Sukuk can be utilised to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of investment and consumption in the renewable energy sector in sustainable economic development. This research uses a quantitative method of multiple linear regression analysis processed with Eviews 13 software. This research uses renewable energy sector investment data in 2017-2023 with data sources from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of EBTKE, renewable energy consumption data sourced from the World Bank as well as emission reduction data as a result of the existence of renewable energy in accordance with the 7th pillar of the SDGs. This research found results where there is a negative relationship between investment and reducing CO2 emissions and a positive relationship between consumption and reducing CO2 emissions. However, partially and simultaneously all independent variables have an effect on reducing CO2 emissions. This is in accordance with data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, currently the renewable energy mix is only 13%, this is weakening due to the pandemic in 2020-2022. So, to increase energy security in the future, there must be increased investment in renewable energy in sustainable development because conventional energy sources are increasingly depleted and environmental pollution can disrupt ecosystems and economic systems.

Abstract

Abstract Islamic banks must be able to compete in the digital era along with technological advances in the financial industry. Islamic banks that are relatively new are often considered less popular and less experienced, hence they must take note of the growth and expansion of customer loyalty, especially in mobile banking services equipped with assistive intelligence (AI) to achieve competitive advantage. The aim of this research was to identify the elements that motivate Generation Z’s allegiance to AI-powered Islamic mobile banking. Generation Z residents of Surakarta made up the study’s population. Sampling used purposive sampling with 100 respondents. The approach used was quantitative and analyzed using IMB SPSS version 2023. The results of the study showed that service quality, trust, and satisfaction were determining factors for the loyalty of generation Z to Islamic mobile banking equipped with artificial intelligence (AI). Meanwhile, customer loyalty to Islamic mobile banking among Generation Z was not significantly impacted by religiosity. With this study, it is hoped that Islamic banks can increase customer loyalty by developing the determining factors for customer loyalty. Abstract

Poverty is the biggest problem facing the world today. Poverty is not just a statistical data, but in fact touches the lives of millions of people in the world. This study aims to examine the relationship between the Islamic Human Development Index (I-HDI), ICT, and Governance on poverty in D-8 countries in 2012-2022. D-8 countries are an association of developing Islamic countries in the world. In this study, the I-HDI value uses the Simple Weighted Index (SWI) by using a percentage of 20 on 5 dimensions of the index adjusted to the maqashid Sharia indicators. This research data uses 330 panel data and the research sample is selected through purposive sampling method in D-8 organization member countries. Based on this sampling method, 5 countries were selected as the object of this study, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Pakistan and Turkey. This research is processed through the Fixed Effect Model regression model. The regression model is used to test the relationship of 5 independent variables, namely I-HDI, Access to Information, Government Effectiveness (GE), Regulatory Quality (RQ), and Control of Corruption (CC) on the dependent variable, namely poverty. The results show that I-HDI, ICT, and Regulatory Quality (RQ) significantly reduce poverty. This study implies that D-8 member countries should use I-HDI as a measure of human development, maximize access to information technology, and improve regulatory quality to eradicate poverty.
