Kelola: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan adalah jurnal ilmiah di bidang Manajemen Pendidikan, yang diterbitkan oleh Program Pascasarjana Magister Manajemen Pendidikan (PPs MMP), Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP), Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW), Salatiga yang dimaksudkan untuk menyebar-luaskan hasil penelitian dan pemikiran inovatif bidang manajemen pendidikan/sekolah baik dari lingkungan civitas akademik manajemen pendidikan, pakar, Asosiasi Profesi, Birokrasi dan praktisi manajemen pendidikan/sekolah. Indonesia faces many problems in education. The main problem is raised from the low ability of the headmaster to manage the school. This is related to leadership style. This study aims to explore leadership styles in the field of education and discusses how headmasters should apply leadership styles in schools. Some appropriate leadership styles are applied by the headmaster consisting of (1) managerial leadership, (2) transformational leadership, (3) transactional leadership, (4) instructional leadership and (5) positive leadership. Therefore, the headmaster not only applies a leadership style while managing the school but must be able to combine and contextualize leadership styles based on the need to obtain school goals.

The purpose of this research is to know and describe factors influencing elementary school teachers in Biak Numfor District, and efforts made by elementary school teachers of Biak and suggestions for the development of education especially in Biak Numfor District. The method used in this research is descriptive. The research subjects were elementary school teachers in Biak Numfor District. Data obtained by distributing instrument in the form of Questionnaire. The results of a questionnaire that was distributed to 31 elementary school teachers in Biak Numfor district showed that many of the obstacles experienced by teachers. Obstacles experienced by elementary school teachers in Biak Numfor district are teachers experiencing obstacles in preparing the lesson, teachers experience barriers in determining methods and media used in learning, teachers experience barriers in determining the evaluation used in learning. Efforts by teachers to overcome these obstacles are many students who do not have a handbook then the teachers, and teachers use the media in school. Teachers hope the attention of local governments need to be improved again.

The purpose of this research is to explain ways to improve communication, especially interpersonal communication in an organization through self-efficacy, leadership and team cohesiveness. This research uses quantitative research approach. Data analysis using path analysis. Research conducted in 2015 at 3 Private Universities in Bogor. Prior to use, the research instrument was piloted against 30 respondents to gain validity and reliability. Prior to hypothesis testing, test requirement analysis is tested linearity and normality test. The research findings are that interpersonal communication in the organization is positively and significantly influenced by self-efficacy, leadership behavior, and team cohesiveness. This means that the higher the self-efficacy, leadership behavior and team cohesiveness, the higher the interpersonal communication activity in the organization.

The purpose of this study is to formulate the strategy of academic information system development in an effort to improve the education quality through analysis of internal and external conditions in SMA Negeri 1 Petanahan Kebumen Central Java. Research type using mixed methods with SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis approach. Data collection is done through interviews, documentation, observation, and questionnaires. The sampling technique using purposive sampling is 30 respondents. Data validity uses source and method triangulation, while data analysis techniques use IFAS and EFAS, as well as tools for formulating development strategies using SWOT Matrices. The results showed: the strength of academic information system SMA Negeri 1 Petanahan on infrastructure and academic data, while the weaknesses in resources and programs. Opportunities for academic information systems in the form of policies and strategic issues, while the threat is geographic. The research findings show that academic information system in SMA Negeri 1 Petanahan Kebumen in improving the education quality is in Growth cell: concentration through horizontal integration or stability strategy so it is appropriate to use SO strategy (strength-opportunity) that utilizes the infrastructure and academic data to meet the issue policy and strategic.

This study aims to find out: 1) whether or not the leadership quality of the alumni of MMP FKIP UKSW is affected by creativity and curriculum; and 2) the determinants of the alumnis leadership level: creativity or curriculum factor. The participants of this research are those who have graduated (alumni) from MMP FKIP UKSW Salatiga, working in Temangung regency. There were as many as 35 alumni in 2014/2015 selected to join this research. The data was collected using self-rating scale consisting of 32 items that have been tested valid and reliable, then it was reduced to 3 variables. The analysis process was undertaken by using SPSS 24 assisted analysis technique. The result of this research showed that curriculum have nothing to do with the level of leadership. Meanwhile, alumniâs leadership level is significantly determined by the creativity. This finding is very important for the aspect of course quality improvement management that supposed to be conducted by professional lecturers. MMP FKIP UKSW refines its learning activities on creativity-based lectures which will bring positive influence on leadership level.

This research was conducted with the aims to improve the competence of developing thematic learning plans in improving the quality of thematic learning in class I, II, and III in primary school Ungaran 05. Subjek research in this action research is a low-grade teacher at SD Negeri Ungaran 05. The school action researcher was conducted in two cycles, with the stages of planning, acting, observing and reflecting in each cycle. The collected data is analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of school action research concluded that group supervision with collaborative approach can improve the competence of lower class teachers in Elementary School Ungaran 05 in preparing thematic lesson planning.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between significance or know the academic efficacy and procrastination academic with achievement students academic of project study guidance and counseling, Teaching and Education Faculty University PGRI East Nusa Tenggara. The number of samples used in the study as much as 92 students drawn from population 1180 includes force 2009 as much as much as 102 students 2010 force 205 students, 2011 as much as 368 students, and force as many as 505 2012 student. The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling technique. Tool collecting data using a detailed questionnaire with Likert scale, which consists of a detailed questionnaire for academic procrastination and academic efficacy. While the achievement of student learning is measured based on the CPI. The analysis used in this study is the technique of correlation of Product Moment with the help of SPSS Version 18.0. The first hypothesis test results showed that the relationship between academic procrastination and academic achievement, known (r) correlation coefficient between academic procrastination and academic achievement of 0.015 with p 0.890 > 0.05 negative correlation, direction and with the guidelines of the wear level of significance of 5%, obtained p 0.890 > 0.0.5 then correlation between academic procrastination and academic achievement is declared not significant. The second hypothesis test results showed a relationship between academic efficacy with academic achievement, known coefficient of correlation (r) between academic efficacy and academic achievement -0.004 0.970 > with p 0.05, direction correlation negative and wear guidelines significance level 5%, obtained p 0.970 > 0.05 then correlation between academic efficacy with academic achievement is expressed is not significant. While the third hypothesis test results showed the absence of significant correlation between academic procrastination and academic efficacy simultaneously toward academic achievement with the retrieved R square (coefficient of determination) of 0000, and the coefficient correlation of 0.015 with 0.990 > p 0.05. Further, it is known from the Fcount of 0.010 of Ftable of 3.10, so that H0 is accepted and Ha was rejected.

The purpose of this study was to explore how the principal should work at school. Six efforts can be implemented by school principal in enhancing the teacherâs performance including (1) to focus seriously on the improvement of teacher competencies, (2) to provide sufficient funding for improving teacher professionalism, (3) to supervise and guide teachers professionally, (4) to create a organizational culture of school that are comfortable for teachers, (5) to create innovation and advancement at school, and (6) to provide various rewards for each achievement that are done by teacher. Hence, it is recommended that school principal must more actively and creatively collaborate with teachers and educational stakeholder to conduct the improvement of teachersâ performance.

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of organizational culture and interpersonal communication on the work attitude of private junior high school teachers in Tanjung Priok district. This research was conducted using survey method with quantitative approach and path analysis technique. The populations in this study were 307 teachers with 75 research samples of teachers selected using simple random sampling technique. Data were obtained through questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis technique. Based on the results of data analysis in this study, it can be concluded: (1) organizational culture has a direct positive influence on teacher work attitude; (2) interpersonal communication also has a positive direct effect on teacher work attitude; (3) organizational culture has a positive direct effect on interpersonal communication. Therefore, work attitude can be developed through the improvement of organizational culture and interpersonal communication.

This research is taken place to describe the punctual improvement of the teacher whoâs participated in participatory training model using in-on and to determine the influence of teacher optimism and teachers ability to give feedback, along with the contribution of each variable. This research was conducted based on the assessment of elementary school teachers who are participated in training for classroom action research preparation in KKG Gugus Joko Tingkir Salatiga, with 42 selected people randomly. Data for this research is quantitative. Data were collected through a self-rating scale of 21 items that proved to be valid and reliable. Data analysis using multiple linear regression with Stepwise Model. Based on the result of this research, it can be proved participatory training model effective in improving teacherâs punctual in teaching. There are 2 variables/predictors of teacher optimism and or together with their ability to provide feedback on teacherâs punctual in teaching. Teachers optimism has an effect (positive and significant) on teacherâs punctual in teaching equal to 35.20%. Teacherâs optimism along with their ability to give feedback impact teacherâs punctual in teaching as much as 42.9%. Thus participatory training model should be applying learning principles that emphasize positive optimistic psychology, get used to working effectively with challenges, have the confidence to use innovative thinking in achieving success.
