Abstract

One of the various art forms is dance. The existing dances have different backgrounds , according to the natural, social and cultural conditions in which they develop. For example , there are ritual dances that are sacred and religious, there are dances that are entertainment, there are dances that are social, and so on. Dance is also a system of knowledge, beliefs, values, products that grow and are shared by a community group . One of them is the Bon Mayu dance from Were Village, Weda District, Central Halmahera Regency. Bon Mayu dance itself is just like other folk dances, appreciating culture in general and following the norms outlined by customs, various movements reflect the subtlety of mind and character of the supporting community which is an integral part of oneself and the environment in which the dance develops born from historical ideas, activities and symbols . However, along with the development of the times, the flow of globalization is present and cannot be prevented from its presence, making cultural changes occur in traditional societies. Socio-cultural changes that occur result in human habits that are influenced by the needs of life and ways of thinking, so that change is the background of changing a dance presentation in a different direction. However, it is also caused by external factors and internal factors, some are changing towards the development of types of dance, there are also changes in the creativity strategy of presentation, this is due to the entry of modern technological elements that are more dominant, but it also depends on the background and environment of the community where the culture or art develops. Keywords: dance art, preservation, Bon Mayu

Abstract

Small traders already exist and grow along with the development of a village or city area, especially in developing countries. Small trade consists of traders who open a simple place to sell that is visited by consumers or traveling merchants who come to their consumers. Small traders in this paper are called tukang Tibo which is one of the alternative jobs done by humans to make ends meet, due to the difficulty of employment available to low-educated members of society with very limited experience and skills. In general, the livelihood of residents in Modoinding District, South Minahasa depends on the agricultural sector, and plantations. The majority of the population pursues work as farmers and the largest income is in the agricultural sector. Modoinding is a sub-district that has abundant natural resource potential. With fertile soil and containing minerals in it, it encourages the community to manage and utilize the culture of these natural resources to grow crops and make the main livelihood, especially horticultural crops so that this village becomes a mainstay of productivity in agriculture. Tukang Tibo or called small traders in Modoinding District is a job supporting market-oriented agricultural activities. They work with various strategies to meet the needs of life. Abstract

The parenting style applied by parents will affect the formation of the child's personality after he becomes an adult. This is because the characteristics and elements of the character of an adult individual have long been planted into the soul of an individual from the beginning, namely when he was still a child. Various parenting styles applied by each ethnic group as part of cultural heritage passed down from generation to generation through the process of socialization, internalization and enculturation. One of the ethnic groups in Indonesia that passed down the parenting style of the previous generation as part of cultural heritage is the Dayak tribe in Central Kalimantan. The development of technology brings new habits and lifestyles in the lives of the Dayak Siang tribe community in Saripoi Village. So there are many things regarding values and norms that must be carried out and instilled in children from an early age as the process of enculturation is no longer carried out when the environment has changed. This is because of the large influence of foreign cultures that are packaged attractively on social media. Children living in this era have very high characteristics of dependence on the internet. So it is important for parents to develop effective parenting from an early age to create a generation that avoids the negative influence of technology and can use it wisely. Abstract

Indonesia is known for its diversity of traditions and cultures. Indonesian society is also a society that highly values and upholds cultural values that are inherited from ancestors from the past and tries to preserve them. The existence of tradition is a universal cultural phenomenon in the life of every human being who lives in society. Abstract

The Ma'Nene tradition in the Toraja tribe in Makale District, which has undergone changes in its procedures and implementation, which was previously in the Aluk Todolo version, has now undergone changes in the Christian version. Ma'Nene is a memorial service for the family of the deceased as a form of gratitude and appreciation to the deceased for his services to the descendants who have been left behind by lifting the corpse from the burrow (grave) and lining the clothes or wrapping the corpse with new cloth. The process of implementing Ma'Nene in a belief has almost similarities, but the rules of implementation are different, the function of the Ma'nene version of Aluk Todolo is to ask for blessings to the spirits of the ancestors, while the function of the Christian version of Ma'nene for Aluk Todolo and Christians has something in common, namely as a sign of affection and appreciation for the family of the deceased. So it is undeniable that the family or relatives of the deceased tried their best to carry out Ma'Nene so that they could obtain worldly salvation. The Ma'Nene tradition is an ancestral heritage that still survives today even though many have embraced the divine religion. The loyalty of the Torajan people to the trust of their ancestors is firmly embedded in the soul of every person. In Torajan society, if they have not carried out the Ma'Nene tradition, during their lives and until their descendants will not get salvation. Therefore, it is important for the Torajan people to carry out this Ma'Nene Tradition. Keywords : Tradition, Ma'Nene, Toraja

Abstract

Mating will continue to be carried out by humans with certain goals, reasons for implementation and the most basic is to carry out the process of regeneration or continue offspring. Marriages can be divided into customary marriages and non-customary marriages. Customary marriage is understood as a marriage based on customary rules that apply in the local community. Batak Toba traditional marriage is something that contains and produces rules, many values, principles, and certain ways that underlie life and growth in the community itself. In the traditional marriage process, there are conditions that must be done, namely the dowry given by the bridegroom to the bride in accordance with the customs and customs in the tribe, the dowry is called the term Sinamot. Sinamot tradition is the initial transaction process carried out by the Batak community as part of the procedure for marrying by the man to the woman. The Batak Toba people who live in Depok City, especially Limo District, still believe in the Sinamot tradition and still use it in a series of traditional marriages, even though they already have their own thoughts due to the environmental differences they face, but this is actually a challenge for the local Toba Batak tribe community to maintain and make the tradition a characteristic or identity that must be maintained.
