Abstract

The problem of plastic waste is a global problem that is increasingly urgent to be resolved, including in Indonesia, in the city of Ambon. Especially at the Benteng Karang Integrated Waste Treatment Plant (IPST), plastic waste is one of the most dominant and difficult types of waste to handle. Plastic waste that is not managed properly can accumulate and cause various environmental problems, such as land and marine pollution, which ultimately damages the ecosystem and threatens the life of marine biota and the environment. Shredding plastic waste provides a variety of significant benefits, including reducing the volume of waste so that it is easier to transport and store, and making it easier to recycle. Shredded plastic pieces require less energy to melt and are easily reshaped compared to whole bottles, saving energy in the recycling process. Researchers took data directly at the research location regarding plastic waste at the Benteng Karang Integrated Waste Treatment Plant (IPST), Ambon city, data on the volume of waste entering the Integrated Waste Treatment Plant (IPST) per month in 2023-2024 in Ambon city. In one month, according to the data obtained, 5.6 tons of plastic waste. So in one day get 18.7 kilograms. The motor control system uses the DOL system. The experiment we got from chopping 1.5 kilograms of plastic waste took 43 minutes 15 seconds Keywords: Shredding plastic waste

Abstract

Sexual violence is a crime that threatens the integrity and dignity of individuals, and disrupts public order and security. Based on survey data from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology in 2020, 77% of lecturer respondents stated that cases of sexual violence occurred in universities, but 63% of respondents from the victim side chose not to report their cases to the authorities. In addition, universities are the third location for sexual violence with a percentage of 15%. In response to this, the Ambon State Polytechnic (POLNAM) has formed a task force for the prevention and handling of sexual violence (SATGAS PPKS) as an effort to prevent and handle acts of sexual violence that occur in the POLNAM environment. The PPKS Task Force is tasked with providing assistance, guidance and information related to the prevention and handling of sexual violence within the scope of the POLNAM campus. Based on data and information from the Polnam PPKS Task Force Team, there has never been any reporting of sexual violence committed by students. This is due to the lack of information on the existence of the Polnam PPKS Task Force and also the flow of the reporting process and filling out the complaint data form. This process is carried out manually by visiting the Polnam PPKS Task Force and filling out the complaint form. Although efforts have been made to prevent and handle sexual violence, there are obstacles that affect the effectiveness and efficiency of the reporting and handling process. One of the factors that causes minimal reporting is the fear of the confidentiality of victims and reporters when visiting the PPKS Team. So based on this background, a media is needed that acts as a container for Polnam PPKS information which also handles the Internal PPKS reporting process. Electronic complaints are electronic-based systems or platforms that allow the public to submit complaints, suggestions, or aspirations related to public services or the performance of government agencies online. The development of this system uses the Prototype Process Model Software development method. This study aims to implement a prototype of a sexual violence e-complaint system. This system acts as an electronic information media related to PPKS Polnam and the reporting complaint service process related to the work area of SATGAS PPKS at Ambon State Polytechnic. Abstract

A department is part of an organ of higher education, so a department building tends to have a significant level of activity. The academic community consisting of students, educators, and employees carry out activities dynamically so that spaces are needed that are able to answer current needs. Space is seen as a reflection of human activity. Spaces that have the right function will be able to improve the quality of space. On the other hand, there are standards that can be used to identify how much space units and what space needs are priority spaces in a lecture building, so it is deemed necessary to re-identify space requirements. This research uses a mixed method, or mixed method where researchers explore qualitatively and quantitatively in one study simultaneously based on the standards used. The results of this study show that the spaces needed by a department in Ambon State Polytechnic include theoretical lecture rooms, department head workspaces, and lecturer workspaces. While other needs are still considered as shared facilities. This shows that a department building at Ambon State Polytechnic requires space that can accommodate the activities of the academic community comprehensively. Keywords: Spaces, Spatial, Spatial Needs

Abstract

Quartz sand plays a vital role in various industries due to its unique properties and practical applications. Sukamara Regency is one of the regions with widespread quartz sand distribution. This research was conducted in Teluk Madang, Padang Sub-district, Sukamara District, Sukamara Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. The objectives of this study are to determine the distribution and thickness of quartz sand in the study area and to estimate its resource potential. The research method involved direct field observation, which was then processed into spatial data and resource calculation using the polygon method. Based on the regional geological map of the Pangkalan Bun sheet, the area comprises three geological formations: the Dahor Formation (TQd), Alluvial Deposits (Qa), and Mud Deposits (Qs), all of which show potential for quartz sand accumulation. Geomorphological observations identified three landform units: alluvial plains (51%), swampy lowlands (20%), and undulating terrain (29%). A total of 96 hand-drilled boreholes were carried out across the study area, which covers 4.62 hectares. The thickest quartz sand layer recorded was 3.6–4 meters, while the thinnest was 0.4 meters. The average thickness ranged from 1.3 to 1.8 meters. Using the polygon method, the estimated volume of quartz sand resources is 12,225 m³. With a density of 2.6 g/cm³, the total estimated tonnage of silica sand in the 4.62-hectare study area is approximately 31,785 tons. Abstract

This study aims to conduct a comprehensive statistical evaluation of photovoltaic inverter performance under various solar irradiance conditions to identify operational characteristics and develop predictive performance models. The research methodology employs a quantitative approach with experimental design through primary data collection over 12 months using an integrated data acquisition system with pyranometer irradiance sensors, temperature sensors, and power analyzers on a 10 kW string inverter system. Data were categorized into five irradiance groups and analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, polynomial regression, and ANOVA with SPSS and MATLAB software. Results show the highest average efficiency in the high irradiance category (96.9%) with the lowest coefficient of variation in moderate irradiance (2.19%). Strong positive correlation between irradiance and inverter efficiency (r = 0.762) and cubic regression predictive model demonstrate high accuracy (R² = 0.912, RMSE 1.89%). Variance analysis proves significant differences between irradiance categories (F = 1,234.56, p < 0.001) with 78.5% effect size. Temporal patterns show systematic seasonal variation with peak efficiency in May (96.2%) and annual-daily periodicity correlating with natural irradiance cycles. The research confirms the importance of statistical characterization for photovoltaic inverter performance optimization and development of adaptive operational strategies based on irradiance conditions. Abstract

Alinea Brushless DC (BLDC) motors require sophisticated control systems to optimize their performance in modern industrial applications. This research develops a comprehensive mathematical model using state-space approach and designs a fuzzy logic control system for BLDC motors with experimental validation. The mathematical model was developed based on electrical and mechanical parameter identification through DC and AC testing, resulting in high-accuracy system dynamics representation. The fuzzy logic control system was designed using Mamdani structure with 49 rules and optimized using Chameleon Swarm Algorithm. Experimental validation was conducted using a test bench platform with 500W BLDC motor and DSP-based control system. Model validation results showed RMSE values of 15.3-28.9 rpm for speed and coefficient of determination R² reaching 0.963-0.987. The fuzzy logic control system demonstrated superior performance with rise time 45.2 ms, settling time 132.5 ms, overshoot 2.8%, and steady-state error 0.5 rpm compared to conventional PID controller. Tracking performance testing yielded RMS error 3.2 rpm for sinusoidal reference and robustness evaluation showed good resistance to load disturbances. This research successfully integrated accurate mathematical modeling with adaptive control system that can be implemented in various industrial applications requiring high-precision motor control. Abstract

Roads are a vital transportation infrastructure that support all human activities. The increasing volume of vehicles each year has become one of the contributing factors to road damage in several regions of Indonesia. Infrastructure burdened by high and recurring traffic volumes will lead to a decline in road quality, both structurally and functionally. Observations were conducted on the road segment in Morella Village. The objective of this study is to determine an index value that can indicate the pavement condition and to identify the type of road treatment using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. The study found the minimum index value on the Morella Village road segment was 67 at STA 0+300, which requires periodic improvement treatment, and the maximum index value was 100 at STA 0+200, requiring routine maintenance. Data analysis showed that the damage level on the Morella Village road segment from STA 0+000 to STA 2+000 is categorized as very good, with an average PCI value of 90.65, based on calculations of each 100-meter sample unit.  Keywords: pavement condition index, treatment
