Abstract

The Bujel Market in Banjarsari Village, Kulonprogo, which is classified as a type D market, is only active from 1:00 to 6:00 am, after that there is no more buying and selling activities taking place. This Full Occupancy Evaluation (EPH) aims to find problems and potentials in the market by adjusting the functions and needs of users that emphasize the architectural aspects of the building and the behavior of its residents according to SNI for Pasar Rakyat. This study aims to revive the market area outside its operational hours and increase the market's function as an area for socializing, gathering, and making the market a supporting area for the activities of the village hall. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with observations and interviews using the analysis of Post-Huni Evaluation (EPH) and the comparison of SNI to Pasar Rakyat. The results of this study provide recommendations for the market to be more active and develop properly according to SNI for the People's Market.

Abstract

Architectural form is a physical manifestation of culture as it acknowledges and responds the surrounding cultural context. Religious architecture also belongs into this principle. In Indonesia, the encounter between Islam coming from foreign Muslim merchants and the high culture of indigenous people fostered a process of cultural assimilation, which was also evident in the physical appearance of religious architecture products such as mosques. Demak Mosque, one of the earliest examples of this process, was completed during the period of nine pioneering Islamic scholars (Walisongo) c. 1401 AD and adopted the traditional tiered tajug roof from Pura (Balinese Hindu temple) and some other principles based on Hinduistic values. This paper set out to observe the process of cultural assimilation in form and construction of six mosques in the area of Muntilan, Central Java by comparing them to Masjid Demak, and to understand whether the alterations found in these mosques were done due to changes in religious values. The results show that most mosques have similar-looking exterior to Masjid Demak while there were increasing amount of alterations in newer mosques, mainly to improve the mosques’ functionality.

Abstract

Abstrak: Setiap dosen memiliki tugas utama terkait dengan tridharma yaitu Pendidikan dan Pengajaran, Penelitian, Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM), dan Penunjang Tridharma. Dalam melaksanakan tugasnya, dosen membutuhkan ruang kerja, agar kinerja dosen dapat menjadi lebih baik. Ruang Dosen Prodi Arsitektur dan Prodi Teknik Industri di UKMC adalah ruang yang menjadi perhatian dalam kualitas sirkulasinya. Permasalahan karena ruang gerak yang terbatas. Tujuan peneltian adalah Menganalisis permasalahan ergonomi pada ruang kerja Dosen Arsitektur dan Teknik Industri, sebagai evaluasi agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas ruang Dosen berdasarkan aspek kenyamanan gerak yang dipengaruhi oleh aspek ergonomik, yang dapat memberikan konstribusi pada Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas dan Yayasan Musi. Metode peneltian yaitu Metode pemetaan perilaku (behavioral mapping) diaplikasikan sketsa atau grafis suatu area dan metode analisis pergerakan simulasi menggunakan software The Sims 4. Hasil analisis menjadi masukan yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas ruang dosen yang ergonomis yaitu penataan sirkulasi yang lebih baik.Kata kunci: kenyamanan gerak, ergonomi, ruang dosenTitle: Ergonomic Motion Study in the Lecturer Room of Architecture Study Program and Industrial Engineering Study Program at Musi Charitas Catholic University with The Sims 4Abstract: Each Lecturer has the primary task associated with the services, namely Education and Teaching, Research, Community service (PKM), and Supporting the services. In carrying out its duties, the Lecturer needs working space so that a lecturer's performance can be better. Space Lecturer Department of Architecture and Department of Industrial Engineering at the UKMC is the space of concern in circulation quality. Problems because space is limited. The purpose of the research is to Analyze the problems of ergonomics in the workspace Faculty of Architecture and Engineering Industry, as evaluation in order to improve the quality of the Lecturer's room based on the comfort aspects of the motion, which is influenced by the aspects of ergonomics, which can give a contribution to the Catholic Musi Charitas of University and Musi Institution. The methods of research, i.e., the Method of mapping the behavior (behavioral mapping), which was applied in the form of sketches or graphics for an area, and the Method of analyzing the movement of the simulation by using the software The Sims 4. The results of the analysis are expected to improve the quality of the Lecturer's room that is ergonomic, i.e., the arrangement of circulation that is better.Keywords: the comfort of motion, ergonomics, space lecturer

Abstract

The increase of population is directly proportional to the level of living needs, namely the need for clothing, food, shelter, education, and health. Settlement problems include nonphysical problems between social, economic, cultural, ecological as well as physical environmental problems including housing infrastructure and facilities. The spatial layout of the coastal environment that is irregular and not environmentally will cause various problems. This limited residential environmental condition demands a good change made by the community in the area. The purpose of this research is to examine the spatial layout patterns and conditions of the traditional fishing settlements of the Wuring village in the Wolomarang Village. The results showed that the types of shelter found were permanent, semi-permanent and non-permanent. Wuring settlement partners form a spatial pattern of traditional fishing settlements. Wuring village has complete facilities and inscriptions to support a village but has limitations in facilities and infrastructure. Thus, it is necessary to have a direction in the arrangement of the fishermen settlement of Wuring village, among others, to improve settlement support facilities such as facilities and infrastructure. Conclusion, the spatial pattern of Wuring Village has complete facilities and infrastructure with varied typical residential patterns.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kepadatan penduduk di Indonesia karena terjadinya pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk, khususnya di Jakarta memicu pembangunan gedung hunian bertingkat tinggi untuk memaksimalkan penangkap nilai lahan. Pembangunan berimbang didengungkan untuk mengimbangi kebutuhan dan menumbuhkan daya beli masyarakat dengan memberi pilihan perumahan yang terjangkau bagi kalangan menengah ke bawah. Rusunawa merupakan salah satu turunan dari kebijakan rumah berimbang, yaitu dari kebijakan KotaKU untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Awal tahun 2020 dihebohkan dengan munculnya kasus pertama COVID-19 di Indonesia sehingga menyebabkan perubahan pada pola kehidupan, tidak terkecuali di Rusunawa. Perubahan pola kehidupan dari hunian horizontal ke hunian vertikal membutuhkan adaptasi dari penghuni dan adanya COVID-19 ini menyebabkan bertambahnya variabel penyebab perubahan pola kegiatan dalam hunian. Kegiatan bersama dalam bangunan perlu diawasi untuk mengurangi kepadatan sehingga dapat mengurangi kemungkinan penularan dalam bangunan/terjadinya kluster baru. Virus COVID-19 ini penularannya diketahui utamanya melalui droplet dan dibawa angin dan apabila penghawaan dalam ruang kurang baik akan menyebabkan virus ini mudah menyebar. Karena rusunawa menurut standar diharuskan untuk menggunakan penghawaan alami, dalam perancangan perlu dipikirkan cara memaksimalkan penggunaan penghawaan alami. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara identifikasi kepadaatan dalam ruang dengan space syntax dan pengaruh pengahwaan alami dalam mitigasi COVID-19 dalam bangunan rusunawa bertingkat tinggi.Kata kunci: penghawaan alami, kepadatan dalam ruang, COVID-19Abstract: Population density in Indonesia due to the population growth, especially in Jakarta, triggered the construction of high-rise residential buildings to maximize land value capture. Balanced development is buzzed to offset the needs and grow the community's purchasing power by providing affordable housing options for the lower middle class. Rusunawa is one of the derivatives of balanced housing policy, namely from Kotaku policy, to meet these needs. The beginning of 2020 was horrendous with the emergence of the first case of COVID-19 in Indonesia, causing changes in life patterns, not least in rusunawa. Changes in life patterns from horizontal to vertical settlements require adaptation from residents, and the presence of COVID-19 leads to increasing variables causing changes in activity patterns in the settlement. Joint activities in buildings need to be supervised to reduce density to reduce the possibility of transmission in buildings/occurrence of new clusters. The COVID-19 virus is mainly transmitted through droplets and carried by the wind, and if the air conditioning in the room is not good, it will cause the virus to spread quickly. Because rusunawa, according to standards, is required to use natural air conditioning, in design, it is necessary to think about how to maximize the use of natural air conditioning. This paper aims to find out how to identify the nature of space with space syntax and the influence of natural awareness in the mitigation of COVID-19 in high-rise rusunawa buildings. Abstract

Desa Kampung Naga adalah desa tradisional di Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Masyarakat Kampung Naga masih sangat patuh terhadap ajaran leluhur dan kepercayaan terhadap Makrokosmos. Mereka hidup bersamaan dengan alam dan tetap menjaga keselarasan lingkungan. Desa Kampung Naga yang dibangun dengan material kayu pernah dibumihanguskan dan dibangun kembali pada tahun 1956 dan tetap mengikuti aturan adat. Pada tahun 2009, Kampung Naga pernah diguncang gempa namun tidak ada kerusakan yang berarti pada bangunan rumah Kampung Naga. Penelitian ini ingin mengungkap konsep pemikiran mereka dalam merencanakan kawasan desa dan juga pegkonstruksian sehingga bangunan kayu mampu bertahan lebih dari 60 tahun terhadap perubahan cuaca dan lingkungan. Hasil analisa secara rasional menunjukan bahwa kepercayaan  Makrokosmos, hidup bersama alam menjadi faktor perusak seperti memperlakukan air, rayap, asap beracun, namun dapat bergeser makna menjadi karunia  yang dapat hidup berdampingan hingga sekarang tanpa harus menyingkirkan atau mengalahkan satu dan lainnya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Keteraturan pada sebuah desain arsitektur sangatlah penting. Hal tersebut sudah menjadi hal yang sudah umum sejak zaman dahulu hingga sekarang. Konsep arsitektur yang sangat berkaitan erat dengan keteraturan dan bentuk adalah konsep arsitektur kanonik. Konsep arsitektur kanonik memiliki ciri perancangan bentuk melalui kaidah-kaidah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitan ini adalah jenis metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Metode kualitatif deskrptif/naratif disini maksudnya adalah metode penelitian dimana peneliti melihat kondisi nyata objek penelitian yang akan diteliti secara tidak langsung untuk selanjutnya dilakukan analisis dengan dideskripsikan dengan bentuk narasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran kondisi dari kenyataan yang sesuai dan terjadi pada konsep arsitektur kanonik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bangunan studi kasus gedung konvvensi yaitu MEETT Toulouse Exhibition and Convention Centre memiliki ciri arsitektur kanonik yaitu Geometris, Modular, Kekokohan dan Estetika.Kata kunci: Arsitektur Kanonik, Keterarturan, Gedung KonvensiTitle: Application Of Canonic Architecture Concepts, Case Study: MEETT Toulouse Exhibition and Convention Center Building, France.Abstract: Regularity in an architectural design is very important. This has become a common thing since ancient times until now. Architectural concepts that are closely related to order and form are canonical architectural concepts. The concept of canonical architecture has the characteristic of designing forms by means of rules. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method. Descriptive / narrative qualitative method here means a research method where the researcher sees the real condition of the object of research to be studied indirectly for further analysis described in narrative form. The purpose of this study is to provide a description of the conditions of reality that are appropriate and occur in the concept of canonical architecture. The result of this research is that the case study building of a convention building, namely MEETT Toulouse Exhibition and Convention Center, has canonical architectural features, namely geometric, modular, robustness and aesthetics.Keywords: Canonical Architecture, regularity, Convention Center

Abstract

Abstrak: Aliran angin pada tingkat kawasan dibutuhkan untuk pemanfaatan penghawaan alami dalam gedung atau bangunan guna mencapai tingkat kenyamanan pengguna gedung sehingga produktifitas pengguna menjadi lebih baik. Aliran angin dipengaruhi oleh iklim setempat, musim dan tingkat kekasaran permukaan kulit bumi serta perbedaan tekanan udara. Hal ini dapat dijadikan konsep untuk merancang bangunan dengan pemanfaatan energi angin. Tentunya untuk maksimal penggunaan aliran angin juga dipengaruhi oleh bentuk jendela, arah bukaan jendela an besarnya bukaan jendela. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan arsitektur, hasil yang diperoleh diperoleh dari data primer dan sekunder yang di simulasikan dengan program Computational Fluids Dynamic (CFD). Hasil simulasi memperlihatkan bahwa aliran angin dari arah .lapangan bola (arah barat) melewati pepohonan dan menabrak dinding gedung Yoseph sehingga menimbulkan efek turbulen pada bagian atap yang memiliki kemiringan 30°.Kata kunci: Simulasi, aliran angin, Computational Fluids DynamicTitle: Simulation of Wind Flow at Yoseph Building Musi Charitas Catholic University Abstract: Wind flow at the area level is needed for the use of natural ventilation in buildings or buildings in order to achieve a level of comfort for building users so that user productivity becomes better. Wind flow is influenced by the local climate, seasons and the degree of roughness of the earth's crust as well as differences in air pressure. This can be used as a concept for designing buildings using wind energy. Of course, the maximum use of wind flow is also influenced by the shape of the window, the direction of the window opening and the size of the window opening. This study used a descriptive analysis method with an architectural approach, the results obtained were obtained from primary and secondary data simulated with the Computational Fluids Dynamic (CFD) program. The simulation results show that the wind flow from the direction of the ball field (west direction) passes through the trees and hits the wall of the Yoseph building, causing a turbulent effect on the roof which has a slope of 30 °.Keywords: Simulation, wind flow, Computational Fluids Dynamic

Abstract

Abstrak: Indonesia terletak di antara dua benua, yaitu Asia dan Australia dan dua Samudra, yaitu Hindia dan Pasifik. Wilayah Indonesia merupakan wilayah yang rawan bencana, seperti gunung berapi, gempa tektonik, banjir, dan tanah longsor. Kesiapan bangunan sementara untuk korban bencana masih kurang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dan juga kuran dapat cepat dalam pembangunan. Bamboo merupakan pilihan utama untuk bangunan pasca bencana karena mudah didapat dan mudah dikerjakan. Namun banyak kualitas bangunan huntara bambu banyak yang tidak dihuni karena kurang layak huni. Untuk itu diperlukan peningkatan kualitas konstruksi juga nilai fungsinya supaya penghuni tidak menjadi korban kedua dari bangunannya, dengan memperhatikan standart minimum konstruksi yang baik rumus 4S+1D yaitu stabil, strenght, safe, sinergi dan durability. Contoh model pengembangan bangunan dan perlindungan konstruksi pada Huntara bambu di atas sawah, Gereja St. Yakobus Bantul, dan Mushola di tengah sawah.Kata kunci: Pasca Bencana, Konstruksi, Bambu, HuntaraTitle: Development and Protection Model of Post-Disaster Bamboo Construction, Abstract: Indonesia is located between two continents, namely Asia and Australia, and two oceans, the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Region Indonesia is a disaster-prone area, such as volcanoes, tectonic earthquakes, floods, and landslides. The readiness buildings against disasters still do not meet the standards of good construction. Post-disaster shelter building with bamboo material already many tried to cope with the disaster because the bamboo material is easily available and easy to do. Quality of bamboo shelters, many unoccupied for less livable. It is necessary for improved functioning of shelters by taking into account the minimum standards of good construction, 4S + 1D formula that is stable, strong, safe, synergies, and durable. If building shelters already have a foundation of good construction, the shelter would be uninhabitable and last a long time: Examples Bamboo church buildings, Huntara, and Mushola in the middle of rice fields.Keywords: Post-disaster, Construction, Bamboo, Temporary shelter

Abstract

This research, which is based on white soil, is a collaborative study of Architechture  Unwira students in the subject matter of Building Materials and Lecturers, to find alternative building materials from local natural potential. Kupang has the potential for rich white soil. Researchers and students think of making direct use of white soil with prints used in printing bricks so that the general public can make it themselves. This manually made white earth brick,we don't add sand because the lab research shows that the white ground of kupang already contains 30-65% sand. While rice husk ash is used because it has a positive influence on the increase in compressive strength / can increase compressive strength, reduce cement usage, and lighter weigh. After going through the testing phase, it turns out that the white ground brick mixed with rice husk ash and cement can reach a maximum compressive strength of 40.32kg / cm² at 7 days and 83.7kg / cm² at 28 days. . his compressive strength is higher than previous studies using clay mixed with cement which reached 39.1 kg / cm² (Bebhe, 2017). In addition, from the measurement of brick weight, it turns out that the brick with a mixture of rice husk has a lighter weight than that which is not added by rice husk.
