Abstract

Social media as an online media with its users can easily participate, share and create content through blogs, social networks, wikis, forums and the virtual world. Instagram and Snapchat provide a relatively similar user experience. User experience is how an internet user accesses a website or application, an experience they get from the website or application or in the world of IT is often referred to as User Experience (UX). This study aims to analyze the comparative experiences of users of Instagram and Snapchat applications using the meCUE questionnaire and look for the advantages and disadvantages of both applications. The meCUE questionnaire is a tool that is useful for evaluating the user experience or UX of a website or application. To reassure the feasibility of content, content and grammar in the world of User Experience, in this study re-validation of the meCUE questionnaire instrument with two experts was User Experience. After getting the validated questionnaire again, the questionnaire was distributed to 58 respondents who matched the criteria, specifically those who had used the Instagram and Snapchat applications, or who often used the two applications. The meCUE questionnaire has 5 modules and 10 assessment instruments in it, instruments include usefulness, usability, visual aesthetic, status, commitment, positive emotions, negative emotions, product loyalty, intention to use and overall evaluation, in this study there are objective data and subjective data . This study resulted in a comparison of the average value of each meCUE instrument for both applications where the Instagram application produced a higher average value than the Snapchat application and a comparison table of the weaknesses and strengths of respondents interviewing the user experience of the two applications where the Instagram application had more advantages than with the Snapchat application.

Abstract

Faculty of Law Universitas Brawijaya conducts lecture activities every day but does not have the media to submit lecture information online. The Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya also has activities outside of lectures that use space and supporting equipment so that the activity can run well. The needs of students in using faculty rooms and equipment have been met so far. Students can borrow rooms and goods to the faculty which have been done manually. Every loan must be validated by the head of the academic, the head of the student body and the head of the general. This validation process sometimes takes a long time if these people cannot be found within a certain time. The loan facility and infrastructure management system is a system that can overcome the above problems. Submitting a loan and validating a loan can be done online. Every loan will be recapitulated by the system. The system was developed by the waterfall method and uses an object oriented approach. Developers use codeigniter as a framework for implementing systems because it supports the concept of MVC (model, view, controller). System testing is done by using black-box testing and white-box testing to test the functional system and using compatibility testing to test non-functional systems. Based on the tests conducted, the system gets 100% valid functional test results and gets good results in compatibility testing because it is able to run well in the browser environment under test.

Abstract

Children are the gift of God Almighty who must be grateful and become something beautiful for someone who is married. But not even the least parents who pay less attention to the child's growth needs, especially the need for educational activities that help him find hobbies, characteristics, and aspects that help child growth and development. Various problems were faced when the community or especially parents who want to find the best place for their children with all the work or other business activities. One of the ways that the author offers is through the media of Android applications as a medium of information and ordering educational children's activities. In the development of applications, the Waterfall method was used which began with interviews with parents who had children aged 9 months - 4 years. Then the application is designed with the Object Oriented Design method and implemented with the Object Oriented Programming method. The result of the implementation is that the application utilizes the programming language kotlin programming and the use of webservice for the process of exchanging data through the API (application programming interface) that has been made at the implementation stage. The system has been tested by unit testing for the 3 main functions of the system, validation testing for all needs, testing produces valid values ​​for all test cases. While at the usability testing stage with the System Usability Scale (SUS) method this application gets a score of 83 with satisfaction levels Very Good (SB) or above average.

Abstract

This research describes the perceptions between students, teachers and the Business World / Industrial World in determining the success of field work practice programs (PKL) for SMK PGRI 3 Malang students. The analysis is known from the placement factors and determinants of the success of street vendors in SMK PGRI 3 Malang. The results of the analysis are then submitted as input for further PKL activities. This research was carried out in Malang PGRI 3 Vocational High School of Software Engineering (RPL), Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ), and Multimedia (MM) expertise. The respondents of this study were 110 students, 9 PKL supervisors, and 5 companies (DU / DI). This research uses descriptive quantitative methods, data collection using questionnaires, and interviews. The research resulted in placement factors and determinants of the PKL success of SMK PGRI 3 Malang students as a whole include: academics included in the neutral category. Student readiness, student residence, benefits of street vendors, street vendors constraints, facilities, students' perceptions of teacher competence, and student performance are included in the high category.

Abstract

Employee performance assessment and evaluation at UB Guest House is used to determine the level of employee performance achievement. The assessment process is still done manually starting from the preparation of forms, assessing employees, calculating the results by each assessor who can provide opportunities for miscalculation, recapitulation in making reports to determine the best employees only done for 3 days Timelines that are not proportional to work and the possibility of red dates result in no re-checking so that they do not exceed the set time limit. The assessment report is used to find out the progress every month to be evaluated together with the Employee Performance Evaluation Form to make employee awards. This is inefficient because it makes it difficult to choose employees to evaluate and discard paper that supports the UB Guest House costs. A web-based employee performance assessment and evaluation information system was built to overcome these problems. System development applies the weighted product method used to provide recommendations in determining the best employees and is carried out using a waterfall development model. Unit tests show that cyclomatic complexity ≤ 10 with all test case statuses is valid. Integration testing obtained for all test case statuses is valid. Validation testing obtained valid status for all test cases. Testing accuracy using the weighted product method obtained an accuracy of an average of 92%. System compatibility tests are obtained which can be run on various browsers.

Abstract

Decision making on a product must be taken appropriately and in line with company's objectives so that a business will have a long product life cycle and win the market competition. One form of decision making undertaken by a company is through the process of Decision Support System (DSS). The DSS implementation in the culinary business Geprek Kak Rose will help the company in decision making process related to products promotion recommendation to be more accurate and faster to make the company reach target and stay competitive. In determining the product promotion, the company uses a number of criteria that are used as references such as Price, Sales, Durability, and Inventory. These criteria will be the main guideline in DSS using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) - SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method. AHP method is used for the criteria weighting process, then proceed with the SAW method for the best performance ranking process based on all available alternatives. To see the suitability of DSS made with a manual decision from the user, this study uses a Spearman correlation test that produces a value of 0.737 which means it has a very strong relationship.

Abstract

The application to diagnose depression symptoms in students is an application intended to help counseling counselors in providing services to students to conduct consultations. In diagnosing a good depression, a system that can diagnose depression is needed and can store data on students who have come to consult and build a structured consultation approach. However, counseling counselors have problems in their services. Every student who came they could not know the extent of depression that students experienced so it was not too clear how the solution was handled, and the lack of data storage of student recordings that had come to consult. These problems lead to a lack of understanding of students about the services they receive, due to the limited ability of counseling counselors. If this problem is not addressed, the counseling service process cannot run optimally. The solution to this problem is to develop an application for diagnosing web-based depressive symptoms that can help counseling counselors in carrying out their services in knowing what students complain about, knowing the symptoms of depression, learning the symptoms of various types of depression, storing the results of students who have registered. Research produces engineering needs, namely 37 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. Implementation is done using the PHP programming language, the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern, and the phpMyAdmin database.

Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency annually organizes a series of events entitled Banyuwangi Festival and it first held in 2012 with a total of 10 events, and now it is reaching 99 events. However, many problems must be faced by the organizers, for example, in 2016 there was a ticket forgery incident by an irresponsible person at the Banyuwangi Beach Jazz Festival. That incident happened due to the absence of a centralized system in the ticket reservation process at each event. Nowadays, web information systems and portals can help to integrate specific applications such as business intelligence, e-commerce or other application service providers. That ease was then integrated with the Banyuwangi Festival so that the BFEST website was developed, which could help organizers in festival management and ticket reservations more safely and centrally. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with needs analysis done twice and then produce 34 functional needs and one non-functional needs, then it was implemented using the PHP programming language in the CodeIgniter framework. This system has been tested with the white box testing method for unit and integration test and black-box testing for validation test which produces 45 test cases with 100% valid results, compatibility testing for non-functional requirements using SortSite tools and proven the system can run on several websites browser or mobile browser. Abstract

The study was conducted based on observations over a period of one month of the condition of teaching and learning activities in SMK Negeri 3 Malang. During observation, the point of view of the problem is seen from the behavior of students. Problems that emerge are from the motivation and habits of students that are not good. Students always use powerpoint as their only learning resource. On the other hand, teaching books such as modules and e-books have been provided but are not utilized by students. The way out is to make modifications to the Powerpoint program into interactive media. Interactive means there is an interaction between powerpoint and students. The study was conducted by two class experimental methods, namely the control class and the experimental class. The instrument was a questionnaire and a pretest-posttest question. The instrument was analyzed using Pearson correlation test to determine the effect produced. The correlation test results stated that powerpoint interactive media had a positive effect on learning motivation by 44.22% while the other 55.78% were influenced by other factors. In the study habits there are 77.44% influence, another 22.56% influenced by other factors. In the learning outcomes of students there are 81.18% influence while the other 18.82% is influenced by other factors. So the authors suggest for educators to make more use of interactive powerpoint media in order to improve motivation and good study habits

Abstract

Natural disasters are conditions of events or natural activities that can cause some negative effects such as damage, loss, suffering and also pessological problems in humans. These natural disasters can occur due to nature itself or because of humans. Indonesia itself is a disaster-prone area so that natural disasters occur frequently in Indonesia. Because of the frequent natural disasters that occur in Indonesia, a disaster risk management system will be needed to handle assistance for natural disasters. One of the problems in the emergency response phase is the determination and selection of ineffective natural disaster emergency response facilities. Therefore, by utilizing geotagging technology, a mobile application can be designed to add location points to natural disaster emergency response facilities. So that users can find the location of natural disaster emergency response facilities easily and the coordinator of each location field can process data from each facility that will be added. By utilizing the Polylines algorithm, it can be used as a route search to get to the location of the facility. Polylines algorithm will provide route depiction and recommend the closest route from the user's location that has been calculated using Google Direction API to the location of the facility furthermore provide alternative routes that can be used by the user. Based on validation testing on the mobile application "Geotagging Fasilitas Tanggap Darurat Bencana Alam" it was found that the application had fulfilled functional requirements. Then the compatibility testing shows that the application can run without problems on three different devices with a percentage of 100%. In the usability test, a score of 77.5 is obtained so that the application is appropriate to use.
