Abstract

The Bhakti Pertiwi Kulon Islamic Education Foundation (YPI BP Kulon) is a foundation built to teach Al-Qur'an education and provide social assistance to the community in Gresik City. Financial management at YPI BP Kulon is still carried out on bookkeeping and then transferred to Microsoft Excel and Word every year. The financial records were copied back on a piece of paper more concisely by the treasurer before being transferred, and the transfer process was also assisted by someone else. Bookkeeping is also still separate between each treasurer which can lead to double recording. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to build an information system that makes it easier to manage records and make financial reports. The purpose of this research is to make it easier to manage records and make financial reports. The problem is solved by building a financial management information system using the waterfall model. This study concludes that the problems in YPI BP Kulon are facilitated by reducing and improving current business processes (as-is) to produce recommendation (to-be) business processes by utilizing an information system built using the Laravel framework. User acceptance testing (UAT) testing is then carried out to determine the level of user acceptance of the information system. The results obtained to produce a value of 88.64% which indicates that the user strongly agrees with the system that has been developed.

Abstract

Among Kota is an application resulting from the implementation of the Smart City of Batu City, which acts as a medium to help the people of Batu City and tourists to find information about Batu City easier. The application, which was released on the Google Play Store on December 14, 2017, has received a rating of 4.1 out of a scale of 5. But behind this rating, various negative reviews from users regarding the application's usability have also emerged. Based on these problems, encouraging researchers to evaluate usability using the Think Aloud and Heuristic Evaluation methods. Evaluation is carried out to explore usability problems in the application in more depth from the perspective of users and experts, to be able to provide recommendations for proper interface design improvements to these problems. The evaluation using the Think Aloud method involving 8 respondents (users) resulted in 31 problems. Then, in the Heuristic Evaluation method that involved 4 evaluators (experts), 26 usability problems were identified and validated by all evaluators. Based on the evaluation results using the Think Aloud and Heuristic Evaluation methods above, then compiled into one and generated as many as 46 problems. Each problem is accompanied by a category of problem severity based on the severity rating it has. Furthermore, filtering and categorization are carried out to determine the problems given recommendations for improvement. Only issues that fall into the research scope categorized as Catastrophe and Major will be given suggestions for improvement. The result is 25 issues given suggestions for improving the new interface design, which the researcher presented in the form of a prototype.

Abstract

Kimia Farma, through the Kimia Farma Mobile application, aims to become a leading healthcare company through digitization. However, in this application there are still several problems, one of which is the layout of the site map which is difficult for users to understand so that users have difficulty accessing the intended menu. This study aims to assist Kimia Farma in providing recommendations for design solutions for the Kimia Farma Mobile application on the Android platform using a Human Centered Design approach that is supported by usability testing when conducting evaluations. Research begins in the phase of understanding and determining the context of use, determining user requirements, producing design solutions, and ending with evaluating the design. The evaluation process is carried out in the phase of determining user requirements by involving 6 respondents consisting of 2 groups of users. Based on the evaluation, it was obtained 9 problem points experienced by respondents and 8 suggestions from respondents for further improvements. The process of improving user interface design is carried out in the phase of producing design solutions by referring to a list of problems, a list of proposals, and also guidelines from Google Material Design. In this phase, a wireframe and prototype of the solution design for the Kimia Farma Mobile application is generated. In this phase, periodic iterations are carried out so that the resulting design of the solution can meet the user's wishes. The final result of this research is in the form of a prototype which is then re-evaluated by respondents who have conducted previous evaluations. Based on the last evaluation conducted, the respondents did not feel the problems they had previously experienced and were satisfied with the solution design they made. Abstract

Self-configure is unique to the MANET network, where the network is formed from independent nodes that communicate each other. In MANET, there is a standardized route determination mechanism in sending data packets called the routing protocol. Nodes in a MANET network require energy to communicate, while energy on nodes is limited. Therefore, when testing the network performance, energy consumption is a factor that needs to be taken into account. Temporally Ordered Routing Algorithm (TORA) is a routing protocol that can operate on MANET networks. This study aims to calculate the energy consumption of the MANET network by implementing the TORA protocol. The simulation is carried out with a scenario of increasing the number of nodes from 30, 50 to 70 in an area of ​​1000m x 1000m with an initial energy of 1000 Joules and a simulation time of 100 seconds. This scenario is performed on two different mobility models, namely the fixed grid model and the random waypoint model. From the simulation data, the average value of energy consumption in the fixed grid model for 30 nodes is 65.374 Joule, 50 nodes are 62.262 Joules and 70 nodes are 61.549 Joules. Whereas the random waypoint model for 30 nodes is 62.807 Joules, 50 nodes are 55.808 Joules and 70 nodes are 54.388 Joules. With the scenario of increasing the number of nodes there is a decrease in the average value of energy consumption in the two mobility models, this is due to the multi-route mechanism in the TORA.

Abstract

UBCOFFEE is a coffee restaurant that has many variation of menus. Varitation of menus in a restaurant has a significant influence to consumer purchasing decision index. The more variety of menus available in a restaurant, the more the the restaurant needs efficiency in management of order and payment data. The restaurant needs a system that can support performance efficiency in logistic and order management. This application system will be built with Waterfall method of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) so that the system maintains quality during the development and maintenance process. The application system will be built with Flutter framework to make system more practical and executable by various platforms. This research begins with system design, then implemented into a program code that will be tested through white-box testing and usability testing by selected samples of testerwith System Usabilty Scale (SUS) as a standard. The test results of the system show that the logistics and order management system at UBCOFFEE has a usability scale with 72.63 points from the minimum point limit 68 in a scale between 1 and 100. It can be concluded that the system has met the usability standard.

Abstract

SMK PGRI 3 Malang is one of the vocational vocational high schools that has utilized information technology in its learning and learning activities. The LMS One Click Service that was developed is often used by students to view data from educators, see the results of learning scores, and thefeature online drive that is very often used by students. From the data collected by researchers on students by conducting interviews, there are still problems with the application of thisLMS One Click Servic . The problems found were on thefeatures website One Click Service, among others, lack of detailed menu explanation, untidy button placement, and lack of explanation on the menu, the content displayed on themenu is one drive still one, thus hindering student performance. In this study, the authors used themethod Human Ceneterd Design for makingproposals design interface, and themethod Usability Testing for evaluating the design proposed interface. The success parameters are divided into 3 aspects, namely the aspects of efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction. The results of the test using the efficiency aspect, the effectiveness aspect, and the satisfaction aspect are as follows, the efficiency aspect increased by 36%, the effectiveness aspect was divided into 3 aspects, the success aspect got an average of 67.2%, Non Critical Error 23.3 % and Critical Error of 9%. Then on the satisfaction aspect, it gets a score of 81.5 with thecategory Acceptable

Abstract

Melon fruit has many benefits and vitamin content that is useful for health. There are various types of melons that are superior in Indonesia, one of which is the Sky Rocket Melon. This type of melon is round and has a thick, green rind. The entire surface of the skin is covered with gray nets and has greenish yellow flesh. Currently, there is no technology that can determine the sweetness level of a melon. To find out, it is necessary to split or slice some of the flesh. This method is considered very impractical, so it takes a technological innovation only with digital image analysis. This research uses the Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix and Support Vector Machine methods. In this study, using variations in the value of d = 1, 2 and angular direction θ = 0 °, 45 °, 90 °, 135 ° with 5 features, namely contrast, homogeneity, energy, dissimilarity and correlation. The detection of melon fruit classes is divided into sweet and unsweetened classes using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) by testing 3 kernels, namely Linear, RBF and Polynomial. This study used a Raspberry Pi camera to take pictures of melons with a distance of 10 cm detected by the ultrasonic sensor. Melon detection results will be displayed on the 16x4 LCD. In ultrasonic sensor testing, an average error of 1.97% was obtained with an ultrasonic sensor accuracy of 98.03%. In testing this system, the highest accuracy was obtained by the RBF kernel with a variation of the distance d = 2 and the angular direction θ = 45 °, which was 86% with an average computation time of 8.5403 seconds.

Abstract

The tobacco industry is one of many industries that has a big influence on the economy. In the tobacco storage process, it is necessary to pay attention on temperature and humidity conditions at the tobacco warehouse. But the monitoring process of these conditions are still manual, and this prove to be difficult to do if the factory staffs are outside the industrial zone. Therefore, the temperature and humidity monitoring system with WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) technology become a solution to these problems. System is comprised of 3 (three) slave nodes which perform sensing of temperature and humidity, and 1 (one) master node that collects and processes data received from each node, and sends data to users via Telegram app. From the test results, system is capable to sense with the error on temperature and humidity sensing on node 1 0,53% and 1,46%, node 2 0,43% and 6,98%, and node 3 0,14% and 1,87%, also the system is capable to send its data with an RSSI value at node 1 -59.82 dB, node 2 -52.52 dB, and node 3 -70.42 dB. The system is capable to send data using CSMA/CA method with RTT during the RTS/CTS at node 1 is 84 milliseconds, node 2 is 59 milliseconds, and node 3 is 60 milliseconds. Meanwhile, RTT when sending data at node 1 is 67 milliseconds, node 2 is 59 milliseconds, and node 3 is 60 milliseconds, and data collision probability can be minimized to 4%. Finally, the system is capable to send notifications when the temperature and humidity conditions exceed the optimal limit through the Telegram app and able to reply the commands from users with an average response time of 12.6 seconds.

Abstract

The library is considered as a convenient place to read, because the library provides a collection of books and other publications services that are provided to the general public or certain groups. Lots of information can be obtained from the library includes scientific, recreational, religious and entertainment that are human needs. However, according to a survey conducted by UNESCO in 2015 stated that the reading interest of Indonesian society is very low. The lack of interest in reading the community can be affected by several factors such as, the minimal number of libraries and the lack of decent facilities in the library. For example, the more extensive a library, the more variations of book categories and certainly directly proportional to the large number of shelves arranged. Doing a random search manually is the way that most often done, so it will wasting time, especially if the library visitors are visiting the library for the first time and don't know the location of the shelves and the arrangement of the book placement. With the research located on the white label room of the central library of Brawijaya University, the writer made an Arduino-based system which was planted in a book basket, which in the system contained a list of book categories in the library as well as the shelf location where the books were stored. The visitors only need to select the category of books that they want to borrow then the system will process it. The resulting output is the shortest bookshelf route through the LCD on the system by first mapping the existing bookshelves in the library by calculating the shortest distance of the book sought on the nearest shelves from the starting point. With the research located on the white label room of the central library of Universitas Brawijaya, the results from 10 random route search samples the system succeeded in determining the right route with an accuracy value of 100%. It is proven that the system works well besides of that the kind system is an embedded system that is installed in a book basket, so it will make it easier for the visitors if they want to borrow a lot of books in large quantities. On another test was done by testing the execution time required by the system to find the shortest route, the results of 10 tests using random samples only require a very short time with an average of 4.2 milliseconds.

Abstract

At the University level, undergraduate students are required to prepare a final project or thesis as a condition for obtaining a bachelor's degree. Thesis is a term used by universities throughout Indonesia which describes a scientific paper which includes an explanation of the research results conducted by undergraduate students (S1) to study a phenomenon or problem that exists in the relevant field of science using the rules applies to related agencies. In the thesis activity at the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University, students are guided by two mentors. In thesis guidance activities that involve several actors and agendas, it causes the thesis guidance activities to be managed properly. To realize this, an application is needed that can support the thesis guidance management process. This web-based application development aims to facilitate thesis guidance activities. This application that can be used by students and supervisors has main features such as lecturer submissions, thesis guidance scheduling, and guidance logbooks that can make thesis activities more structured and organized. This web-based application has gone through the unit testing phase, integration testing and validation testing. The results of these tests produce a valid value of 100%.
