Abstract

The food name used as a keyword or query in conducting a food recipe search on the search system has limitations, namely the knowledge of the name of the food that the recipe wants to find. So another approach is needed to do recipe searches, namely by the display or the image of food. However, with the many features that are generated from the image it will cause high dimensional data which results in the effectiveness of the search system. For this reason, feature selection is needed to handle high-dimensional data. This research conducted a study of the effect of the number of returns that can provide the highest MAP value and the effect of the Information Gain feature selection on food image retrieval systems using texture feature extraction using Gray Level Co-occurance Matrix and color features using Color Moments and Color Histogram. The number of retrieves (r) of 5 is outperforming other r values with the value of MAP = 1 on the use of only color features and textures and the value of MAP = 0.98 in the combination of both. This indicates a smaller number of returns can give a higher MAP value. The effect of the Information Gain feature selection algorithm on the system is that it can provide the MAP = 1 value on the number of features (n) = 10 on the color feature, n = 5 on the texture feature, and n = 30 on the combination. This shows that the system with feature selection can provide results that are as good (in color and texture) and even better (in combination of features) with fewer features when compared to without feature selection.

Abstract

In the Brawijaya University FILKOM Informatics Engineering study program, the academic performance of students in terms of study period is still a problem. In FILKOM's academic database, there are student academic data. The data can be carried out data mining by predicting students' graduation in the 5th semester. K-NN is a good method for predicting graduation. However, there is a method that has better accuracy than K-NN has been found in other cases, that is MK-NN. Therefore, this study using M-NN method for predict students' graduation based on academic performance by testing includes testing the effect of k value, the number of training data and the composition of training data. Furthermore, comparing the accuracy produced by MK-NN and K-NN methods. The highest accuracy of testing the effect of the value of k is when k = 5, which is equal to 82%. The highest accuracy from testing the effect of number of training data and the composition of training data reached 85,25% and 84%. From the comparison of the accuracy of MK-NN and K-NN it was concluded that MK-NN produced better accuracy than K-NN.

Abstract

The management of ICT field of The Communication and Information office of Madiun is a government agency that has responsibility in managing of ICT to supporting technology information service so that it requires an evaluation of managing ICT. This research employs a COBIT 4.1 framework, which is focused on the domain Deliver and Support (DS) especially on DS1 the definition and management service level, DS5 ensure systems security, DS7 training and education of the user, DS11 manage data. The purpose of this research is to know the evidence of governance ICT, the result of maturity level and provide results recommendation to documentation design on governance such as policy, standards, guidelines and procedures. Based on this research, the average value of maturity level that is obtained from each subdomain DS1, DS5, DS7, and DS11 it is 2.83, 2.59, 2.75 and 2.58 and analytic value gap is 1,00. To achieve the maturity level of expectations 3.00 then the recommendation given is to make policy, to make standard procedure and to do documentation using standard format so that the management of ICT field can manage the ICT with a clear and controlled stage.

Abstract

In Malang, there are at least 400 cafes and restaurants that college students can visit. A large number of cafes available creates its own problems for college students while looking for a gathering place for refreshing or doing a final assignment, which is choosing which cafe to visit. There are several factors that determine the choice of a cafe such as rating, distance, price, and facilities. To solve this problem, we need a system that can provide cafe recommendations to its users based on the location and the criteria of the cafe they are looking for, also provides information such as prices, menus, coffee beans, brewing methods and directions to the cafe. The cafe recommendation system developed using the TOPSIS. The TOPSIS method is used to generate alternative of cafe based on the concept that the best alternative is not only the the alternative with the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution but also with the farthest distance from the negative ideal solution. Alternative data is stored using the Firebase Realtime Database database service, and directions are given using third-party applications, namely Google Maps. From the testing the system obtained 100% valid on functional testing, 100% valid in the validation of algorithm that compares the system output with manual calculation, and the absence of ranking reversal on rank consistency testing which is done by adding new alternatives, and testing usability based on usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction which give results in a percentage of 80.55%.

Abstract

Recent development in business and information technology has become a waypoint for organizations to better their IT service performance. Aerofood ACS is a subsidiary of the Garuda Indonesia Group whose objective is to provide the best premium class service for food and beverage products in the in-flight catering business. Improvement of service quality has become the main goal for companies to ensure that they provide the best IT service available. Attention was brought regarding issues regarding the operational capability of previous IT services that were provided by Aerofood ACS's IT department. The previously mentioned issues often happen repeatedly because there are no right preventions or are there any controls that can be executed towards the procedures of fixing an IT service issue at Aerofood ACS. ITIL version 3 is a "best practice" guide for service management in IT companies. In order to support the operational facilities managed by Aerofood ACS's IT unit, there are a few processes that can be used as object of research, which are the Incident Management and Problem Management processes. Implementing an Incident Management and Problem Management process will minimize mix-ups which are often experienced by the organization in the midst of an ever changing technological landscape. The processes which are utilized in this research uses scoring based on level of maturity and level of inequity acquired from questionnaires regarding ITIL version3 in the service operation domain. Judging from results, it is recommended the guide on based practice give by ITIL version 3 on the Service Operation domain for Incident Management and Problem Management.

Abstract

In software development there are stages of testing that have a very important role. Testing ensures that in the system there are no bugs and errors. Continuous software changes make it impossible to carry out the overall test. However, changes that occur in the environment, platform, etc., must be re-tested as a whole. To overcome the overall testing will be time consuming, expensive, inefficient and ineffective. So that to overcome the overall test requires regression testing with model-based prioritization test case strategies. To deal with this problem, a manual calculation of the test scenario is carried out with a prioritization test case strategy with weighting factors in the UML activity diagram model. Manual calculations have disadvantages such as requiring a lot of time, human resources, and so on. Therefore an auxiliary a tool is made for the calculation of test scenario priority based on the UML activity diagram. This system was built with C # technology and tested using the white-box testing method on unit testing as well as the black-box testing method in validation testing. On unit testing and validation testing, the test results are 100% valid.

Abstract

Universitas Brawijaya is one of many educational institutions that have implemented information technology to support the academic process successfully. Even though they had provided an adequate information portal, the system provided by Universitas Brawijaya has various problems, limitations and shortcomings. One of the problems found in the system is when the system is accessed through a mobile device. To solve various problems that exist in the system, especially those related to Usability, Design Thinking techniques are used to find suitable solutions to correct existing problems. Design Thinking is a methodology is used to define problems and produce solutions. This methodology is chosen because its ability to define problems and explore solutions that can solve said problems. Data obtained from the Design Thinking process is supported by data obtained from Usability testing which was also used during this study. The result of this study is a prototype that functions like the final system would. Existing prototype can be used as a basis for the organization to implement the resulting solutions so that the problems experienced by users while accessing the system can be minimized. The final prototype produced effectively reduce user task completion time by 59.12%.

Abstract

The National Unity and Political Unit (Kesbangpol) of Batu City is a service that engages in politics to improve national security and unity in Batu City and has several external services, namely survey and apprenticeship services, mass organization registration services and information services on political development and intelligence information. In carrying out its activities this service uses a manual method for survey permit and apprenticeship registration services. Applicants (students and students) who will conduct surveys and internships in various Regional Organizations (OPD) or Dinas in Kota Batu must visit the office of the National Unity and Political Office of Kota Batu by bringing several requirements to obtain a registration permit. Constraints and problems faced are when a signature is needed from the head of office but the head of office is out of town or not in the room and the applicant who lives far from Kesbangpol Batu City is having trouble registering by visiting the office and risk losing file. To overcome these problems, a survey permit and apprenticeship permit information system is needed. System analysis and design is carried out using an object oriented approach. Evaluation in research uses consistency analysis, decision table and prototype testing. This research produces a web-based information system design that allows applicants to register via the web, the Head of Office can verify registration permits and the parties concerned can carry out their duties through the system. The results of the evaluation of the information system design show consistency between the requirements with the design and testing of the prototype that produces input for design improvement.

Abstract

The process of determining some kind of food become important because it will determine the food that will be processed in the system that recorded the food for health and diet purpose. The process of determining food consist of preprocessing process and then changing the color model of the image from RGB to HSI. The next process is color feature extraction with Color Moment method that will generate the mean feature, standard deviation feature, and skewness feature from every color channel. Then, for shape feature extraction will using Morphological Shape Descriptors that will generate the length feature, width feature, diameter feature, and aspect ratio feature from the image. After the feature get extracted from the image, do the classification process with Naive Bayes Method with the help of LogSumExp for the probability calculation. The result in the testing of the effect of testing data generate 78% accuracy value when using 100 testing data. The result in the testing the effect of image dimension generate 81% accuracy value when using 300x300 pixel image for testing. The result in the testing the effect of number feature used generate 83% accuracy value when using feature from Color Moment only. The conclusion is, the feature extraction Color Moment and Morphological Shape Descriptors with Naive Bayes classification can be used to determine the kind of some food.

Abstract

Heterogeneous communication protocols in internet of things lead to problems of interoperability, in particular the syntactical interoperability. In previous research has developed semantic IoT web service that can receive data from the sensors node via HTTP. However, the use of HTTP is not enough to receive data from the sensors node with diverse communication protocols. These problems are also compounded by the existence of a sensor node has limited or resource-constrained. One of the solutions of these problems is the addition of communication protocol on semantic IoT web service to connect with a resource-constrained sensor node. Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) is a communications protocol that is capable of handling the problems of resource-constrained. CoAP designed to use minimal resources, making it suitable to be implemented on the environment the IoT has limitations. Therefore, in this study will be added CoAP as the protocol communications on semantic IoT web service. In terms of functional test results indicate semantic IoT web service is able to accept JSON-shaped data, images and video via communication protocols CoAP. The addition of the CoAP on semantic IoT web service is also capable of handling the problems of interoperability, in particular the syntactical interoperability by providing communication protocol via HTTP and CoAP.
