Abstract

PRAKERIN (Industrial Work Practice) is a method to improve vocational high school (VHS) student skills before entering real world of working. SMK PGRI 3 Malang is one of the largest VHS in Malang City. PRAKERIN management in this school managed by Industrial Cooperation Division (BKI). There are four phases to manage PRAKERIN, those are placement, monitoring, judgment, and evaluation. At placement phase, it need a lot of time to plot a student in company. This is because student can't find a company independently, company needs always changing, and BKI have to re-record company needs manually. At monitoring phase, student don't have any back up data for their journal and PRAKERIN report still need a lot of time. At judgment phase, score recapitulation is still doing manually. The system development take case in SMK PGRI 3 Malang with placement, monitoring, and judgment as the boundaries. System development begin with requirements engineering till testing phase.. There are 80 functional requirements in requirements engineering phase. Laravel is used to implement the system. Unit test resulting 100% valid from 17 test cases and validation test resulting 100% from 145 test cases. User acceptance testing show that system is approved by the users. For further research there are some suggestion. First, adding automatic placement feature using artificial intelligence algorithm, automatic document numbering, and sending notification through another media. In addition, adding some criteria in user acceptance testing will be good to assure the quality of software developed..

Abstract

Sidoarjo Regency Government has an e-government service called P3M (Pusat Pelayanan Pengaduan Masyarakat) which is implemented to accommodate various public aspirations and complaints. Based on the Citizens Satisfaction Index (IKM) survey in the first semester of 2019, P3M application only worth as 64.7 (not good), besides that, the P3M itself stated that the media that was the favorite of the citizens to submit their complaints was not P3M application, but Facebook. This study aims to describe the acceptance of the citizens of Sidoarjo Regency to P3M applications based on the Unified Theory of Acceptances and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework that employed performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, trust of the internet, trust of the government, trust of the CSC, facilitating conditions, behavioral intention, and use behavior. Data collection is done by distributing an online questionnaire that contains a total of 25 questions to 100 samples selected based on purposive sampling criteria. The research data was processed using a descriptive statistical approach and results were found the acceptance of the citizens of Sidoarjo Regency toward P3M applications based on the UTAUT model was categorized as high (61.91%). However, there are four variables that have below-average values, i.e. trust of the internet, trust of the government, trust of the CSC, behavioral intention, and use behavior. As a recommendation, these variables need to be optimized for implementation improvement in the future.

Abstract

Partisipasi masyarakat dalam dunia politik merupakan kegiatan sukarela dari warga masyarakat dimana mereka mengambil bagian dalam proses pemilihan pemimpin ataupun wakilnya. Didapatkan fakta bahwa tingkat kepercayaan publik terhadap DPR sangat rendah dimana sebanyak 82 persen responden tidak percaya pada DPR baik dari kalangan kelas bawah maupun kelas atas, kandidat calon legislatif juga tidak optimal karena lebih kepada sosialisasi sosok atau figur daripada ideologi dan program kerja mereka. Pada era digital seperti pada saat ini internet dijadikan salah satu media yang berperan besar dalam proses kampanye untuk menjaring massa dalam pemilu. Hal tersebut menjadi trend tersendiri dalam pelaksanaan pemilu. Selain itu proses penyampaian gagasan dari para calon anggota legislatif ke masyarakat dapat dilakukan dengan baik melalui media web maupun media sosial termasuk facebook. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut penulis melakukan pembangunan Portal Informasi Political References yang memuat visi dan misi, program kerja, riwayat pendidikan, pekerjaan, organisasi ,rekam jejak digital serta pendapat masyarakat dengan memberikan rate, upvote dan komentar pada setiap halaman profil calon anggota legislatif sehingga dapat lebih diketahui track record nya dengan menerapkan metode prototyping serta menggunakan framework Laravel dan Semantic UI. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai usabilitas sebesar 81,5 yang menunjukkan bahwa sistem sudah masuk predikat B untuk tingkat Grade Scale dan Acceptable untuk tingkat Acceptability Ranges sehingga sudah dapat diterima dengan baik oleh pengguna dan mudah untuk digunakan. Community participation in politics is a voluntary activity of community members where they take part in the process of selecting leaders or representatives. It was found that the level of public trust in the DPR was very low, where as many as 82 percent of respondents did not believe in the DPR both from the lower classes and the upper class society, candidates were not optimal because they were more concerned with socializing their figures than their ideology and work programs. In the digital era, as at this time the internet was used as one of the media that played a major role in the campaign process to capture the masses in elections. This has become a distinct trend in the elections. In addition, the process of delivery ideas from legislative candidates to the community can be done well through web and social media including Facebook. To overcome this problem the author constructs the Political References Information Portal which contains the vision and mission, work program, history of education, employment, organization, digital track record and community opinion by giving rates, upvotes and comments on each profile page of legislative candidates so more track record can be known, by applying the prototyping method using Laravel and Semantic UI framework. From the results of the study, it was found that the usability value was 81.5 which indicates that the system has got predicate B for the Grade Scale and Acceptable level for the Acceptability Ranges so its indicates that the system can be well received by the user and easy to use

Abstract

Basic programming course is one of the courses taken by new students and usually some of those students have difficulties understanding the basic concepts of programming. This study aims to identify students who are struggling on the course at the earliest possible time by using factors that can be collected before any test or evaluation is taken so that the lecturer can provide additional assistance for students who encounter such difficulties. The classification method proposed in this study is Neural Network Backpropagation. Tests will be done to find out whether the proposed method can solve the problem of this study and to find out the best value for parameters such as the number of hidden neurons and hidden layer and learning rate for this study. Some test scenarios are also used in this study such as using all of the data features, using PCA with 85%, 90%, 95% variance, and using only significant features based on Pearson correlation. The test results of this study revealed that the proposed method can be used to solve the problem in this study, with the highest average accuracy of 0.74 in two scenarios, the PCA with 95% variance and using only significant features scenario. Test results also show that the parameters which produce the best result is 7 hidden neurons in one hidden layer and learning rate value of 0.7.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless network composed of individual devices distributed throughout the monitored area. Water monitoring system has been done using ZigBee protocol monitored temperature, dissolved oxygen, and acidity. ZigBee has disadvantages in range aspect so it's not suitable for monitoring in wide area. One of the many protocol that has wide network range is LoRa. LoRa is Low Power Wide Area Wireless Network (LPWAN) for IoT applications. This Research focused on the mechanism of data flow from sensor node to data visualization component. Architecture in this research consist of sensor node, gateway, cloud server and data visualization component. Sensor used are temperature sensor, acidity sensor, turbidity sensor and dissolved oxygen sensor. Data that has been acquired from sensor node then converted into struct. Struct data then sent to gateway using LoRa. Gateway then do the conversion from struct to JSON. Data that has been converted to JSON then will be sent to cloud server to be stored in the database using HTTP protocol. Functionality testing is applied to ensure the system work as it should be. Performance testing is done with successful rate parameter with range and time interval as the variables. Based on that testing this research can be solution to the water monitoring problem especially at the long range monitoring area.

Abstract

Maintainability is defined as the ease of modifying a system or component of software. Previously there were studies from Kumar and Dhanda in 2015 namely "Maintainability Measurement Model for Object Oriented Design" which states that the results of maintainability values ​​can be known based on flexibility and extendibility in the class diagram. The study explained that the calculation is quite time-consuming because it has to do the calculation process of the 4 metrics of Quality Model for Object-Oriented Design (QMOOD). Therefore this research is intended to build a tool for measuring maintainability at the stage of software design automatically by implementing the calculations found in the Kumar and Dhanda research. Development is done using the Waterfall method. The tools are desktop-based by entering the XML class diagram file in a standard simple format from the visual paradigm application to determine the value of maintainability. These tools have a time based efficiency of 0.67 tasks/second, which is faster than manual measurement which has a time based efficiency of 0.0082 tasks/second. Besides that, it has overall relative efficiency or the success of completing tasks by 100%.

Abstract

The existence of Korean food stands in Malang cannot be considered having a small number. Based on the results of a survey on people who have visited Korean restaurants in Malang, half of the participants faced some difficulties when it comes to determining which places they will visit due to many options. Moreover, the names of recommended restaurants emerged from browsing through search engines did not really sit well with the criteria. This study aims to create a recommendation system for Korean food stands based on Android by applying the TOPSIS algorithm and LBS technology. The criteria used in this application consists of price, number of menus, duration of opening hours, number of seats, and location distance. This system will display a list of recommendations of Korean food stands along with the information and locations of the seller in the form of maps. The results of functional validation test using the blackbox testing method obtain 100% valid results for all functional requirements. For the results of testing validation of the algorithm by comparing the results of the system output with manual calculations obtain 100% valid result. Then, average score of usability testing obtain 74,5 which means the application is in acceptable category, C category and good category. Therefore, the result of compatibility testing show application can work well in all of testing devices.

Abstract

Every year at Library of Brawijaya University procures books to increase the attractiveness of readers or to provide the best service for readers. However, to carry out a maximum book procurement, an adequate budget is needed for the needs of all books needed by each department in Brawijaya University. Therefore, in this study a system was created which was able to optimize the number of books obtained with the budget set in the library of Brawijaya University by applying the genetic algorithm method. Genetic algorithms generate chromosomes with permutation genetic algorithms, each gene represents 1 book title per department. After chromosome generation is carried out, a crossover reproduction process and mutation reproduction will be carried out to produce new individuals. Then an individual evaluation and selection is based on the highest fitness value. After testing, the results of the parameters of the best population were obtained = 160, parameters of many generations = 2000, crossover rate 0.5 and mutation rate 0.5 which gave the opyimal results of the library book procurenment by the number of book purchased 1077 books.

Abstract

The increasing use of technology requires a security in the identification of individuals to avoid the access rights that can be known or compromised by others. One that can be utilized in maintaining information security required a science of biometrics. Biometrics is a natural human characteristic that is measurable and accurate, one of which, namely the palms became the object of this study is due to have unique characteristics of each individual whom the Palm's surface than with fingerprint pattern of the main lines, the pattern of tangled line/weak are stable. This can be combined with biometric extraction characteristics by using the various features. Extraction methods can be used namely Gray Level Cooccurence Matrix (GLCM) on the identification process by comparing the size and distance of the region of neighbornood. Beginning with the palm of the hand image capture a number of 208 image where 130 as a trainer and 78 data as test data. On the image of hands done pre-launch stage processing to change the color to grayscale image further divided into several sizes of the regions. The size of each region, performed the extraction phase characterized the Gray Level Cooccurence Matrix (GLCM) with a distance of neighbornood. This research get best accuracy percentage of 87.17% in the size of the region of 7 grids and the neighbornood distance d = 7.

Abstract

Koperasi Karyawan (Kopkar) PT. Gudang Garam Tbk. Kediri "MEKAR" is an official cooperative under the auspices of PT. Gudang Garam Tbk. Kediri and has a website that needs to be improved on its user interface. This is because the website is used as a promotional event and provides information needed by users. The method that will be used to improve the Kopkar website is Human Centered Design (HCD). HCD is an approach to developing interactive systems that take into account or be human centered so that they focus on easy-to-use system design. HCD also has four stages: user context analysis, user and / or stakeholder needs analysis, user interface design, and evaluation of improved websites. The focus of the evaluation carried out in this study was evaluation of usability. At the end of the study, user interface improvements were made and analysis of the results of the comparison of the initial design evaluation and solution design. The results of the comparison of design evaluations obtained were on the initial effectiveness aspects of the design which was 66.4% and the design of the solution increased by 100%. On the aspect of efficiency, the average time needed at the start of the design is 45.406 seconds and the solution design is 4.364 seconds. In the aspect of user satisfaction using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, the average value obtained at the beginning of the design was 38.75 while for the solution design the value obtained was 87.91. The evaluation results prove that the designed design has successfully solved the problem.
