Abstract

Social media has been assessed to be an effective media for campaign and the use of social media is evidently could develop electability of political candidate. However, because there is limitation of time to keep monitor the condition of social media, usually political candidate's social media end up unmonitored and also not managed very well. To solve the problem, this study will build a system to monitor social media activity by applying waterfall development model with object oriented approach. This system will provide features such as displaying social media activity, people's sentiment analysis, recommendation activity to manage social media, and Indonesian trending topic. System will be developed with Model View Controller (MVC) concept with Laravel framework and PHP, HTML, Javascript as the programming languages. When implementation phase is finished, white box and black box testing is done with result the system has been 100% valid. Usability testing by heuristic evaluation method also done to make sure that system is already made easy for users. The result of usability testing is system has visibility of system status and user control and freedom problem with severity ratings valued 1 which means there is no need to change the system and the system is already made easy for users.

Abstract

Information technology is something that is needed at this time, one of which is to help company management because it produces information quickly. PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia has succeeded in determining one of them with good management work related to work deadlines. The company PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia has information technology in the field of work management, but currently in work management to make a work process must make a business process, then after it is finished with a system that will assign employees to it. This causes problems, namely the difficulty of direct assignments to employees and the process of work being carried out. PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia needs a system to assist the process of making and assigning employees. In making this system use workflows which are workflow processes and can be carried out related to the workflow provided to employees. In representing workflows performed, Business Process Model Notation (BPMN) will be discussed, which is a standard for modeling business processes. In the end the system can make business processes, assign employees, and complete tasks. This system was built on a web platform and was approved by whitebox, blackbox testing and usability testing with the Usability Scale System method to produce acceptable categories, namely systems created according to user desires.

Abstract

Malang city is a city that has a significant increase in population, which is around 50 thousands people in just period of 5 years. One of the reasons is because Malang city is a city of education, the reasons its called city of education is because in this City there are a lot of public university and private university that are quite popular, such as Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Universitas Islam Malang (Unisma), etc. This resulted many migrants from outside the area of Malang city study in Malang city. There are some things that might be the reasons why migrants choose Malang city, such as the Malang city have one of the best quality university in Indonesia. When becoming a migrant, the most needed thing is certainly a place to live in a long term, because of that the migrants need information on where to live in the form of boarding house or rent house to live in, we can get this kind of information trough social media like Twitter, but on Twitter there is still no category for this kind of information. By seeing this problem, we can use Classification technique to classified the information in the form of living quarters in the city of Malang. In this study Naive Bayes method is used as the classification method, and Information gain as the feature selection method. Before entering the classification process the weighting is done first using TF-IDF-CF method. This study uses 150 training data and 60 testing data. The highest accuracy value in this study are 71,66% using 33% of feature, using TF-IDF-ICF weighthing and, without using number feature.

Abstract

The data sending mechanism between a resource-constrained sensor and an Internet-of-Things middleware (IoTM) must be considered to enable remote and periodical data recording. Such recording is paramount in the context of human heart monitoring. In a previous study, Bluetooth was used in a health-data sending mechanism from sensor to smartphone. However, the solution introduced new problem that is silo. Meanwhile, the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol is more compatible to the resource-constrained sensor and has safe radiation levels. Also, the smartwatch is popular for recording human heart rate. Then, the silo can be averted by applying event-driven IoTM. Thus, this research proposes a health data-sending mechanism from smartwatch to IoTM utilizing BLE by implementing BLE gateway on the IoTM. The health data is the smartwatch user's heart rate measurement. The health data are uploaded to a cloud server via IoTM's internet gateway device (IGD) for analyzing. The research's result is a functional health data-sending mechanism that satisfies the sensor's resource-constrained characteristic. The health data has a maximum size of 17 byte. The optimal distance between the smartwatch and the IoTM is 10 meters, with a maximum end-to-end delay of 3.7 seconds and a minimum Packets Reception Ratio of 96%.

Abstract

Ojesy is an application that provides online transportation services to meet customer needs among women and children. The service is in the form of bike and courier services. The Ojesy application has been downloaded ten thousand times, but many users have negative reviews related to interface problems, lack of menu features, invisible driver points available, difficult address detection so filling in addresses manually and some the user is confused to see the estimated cost. Based on these users reviews, is a reffering to usability problems. Usability is an important aspect of measuring application quality which is a benchmark for determining the extent to which a product can be used by the user to reach the destination and how easy it is to use the application's interface. Usability measurement of this study uses the usability testing method where the evaluation process is carried out directly on the sample user. This test has three stages, the first task scenario test, the second completes the questionnaire and the third interview. Testing also uses a USE questionnaire that includes four parameters, namely usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning and satisfaction. Each parameter has several statements given to the user to assess the level of usability of the Ojesy application. The test was conducted twice, that is initial test to analyze the level of usability and problems before being given a recommendation. Then the final test is recommended for improvements in the form of a prototype using the material design guidelines to get good results, and tested again to get the final usability value. The results of the usability values ​​of the initial usability measurements were 42.75% and the final usability value after recommendations for interface improvement of 80.75%.

Abstract

Letter has become a written communication media that is important to fulfill lots of organizations or companies needs. The current thought about organizing letters is that it needs high level of precision which is take too long to be done. This situation is similar to what happened in Faculty of Computer (FILKOM) University of Brawijaya. They have been using Microsoft Excel to manage all of the corresponding letters until this time. In this way, the distribution of letters has become less effective knowing that there is no integration between units/divisions. Oftentimes, the distributed letter is stopped because of some reasons. It could be that the receiver is not available at that time, or there is no information whether the letter has already been handled or not. These kinds of problems can be solved by developing a web-based letter management system where each unit is integrated to one another. In this way, the distributed letter and its monitoring can be easily done without considering place and time. Waterfall model process is used by the author in developing the software. In requirement engineering phase, there are found 33 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirements. Based on the requirement engineering result, system is designed to be implemented in the next phases. The testings performed are unit testing, integration testing, and validation testing that result 100% valid in all test scenarios. And based on the compatibility testing, it is known that the system worked with no problems occurred in 73% of 11 versions of tested browsers.

Abstract

Placement of majors is one of the actions that can support the ability and motivation of student learning. Placement of the department itself has several factors that are used as considerations to determine the majors according to the abilities and interests of students. Factors used in determining majors between student psychological test results, report card grades for junior high school, BK evaluation, student interest, and parents' interests. Efficient it is not efficient. In the process of validation, the results of department placement are needed for 1 semester by looking at student learning outcomes data. In the placement of majors a system is needed that can help in classifying students' majors quickly and accurately, can be adjusted to the completion time of majors and errors in the arrangement of majors that are not in accordance with the interests and abilities of students. In this study using the Extreme Learning Machine method in grouping majors in high school students. In applying the ELM method the classification results obtained with the best average value of 98% using 14 features. To transfer data, practice and test the data used is 80:20, and the weight value is changed [-1,1], the value is biased with a range of [0,1], and use the activate sigmoid function.

Abstract

Smartphones with powerful camera sensor capabilities can be used to analyze photos and object recognition. Food is one of the popular photography objects and seeing it makes you want to cook or taste it. Cooking requires recipes as a tool to make dishes because not everyone knows how to make dishes. Food recipe search techniques with food image input are needed because not everyone knows the name of the food made. There are several steps in the method carried out to do the introduction of food types namely preprocessing, feature extraction using the Color Moments and Gray Level Counseling Matrix (GLCM) method, feature selection using the Information Gain method and classification using the Weighted K-Nearest Neighbor (NWKNN) method. Tests were carried out to determine the accuracy of the NWKNN method and also to know the effect of the Information Gain feature selection. The results of testing with the K-Fold Cross Validation method obtained the highest average accuracy of 92.37% by dividing the test data by 30, the number of features by 10, the value of k on the NWKNN by 3 and calculating distances using Cosine Similarity. On other hands, the testing of the Information Gain effect resulted in the highest accuracy of 86.96% with the 15 best features. It can be concluded that the NWKNN method can answer the problem of unbalanced data and Information Gain can find out the best features for classification.

Abstract

Rumah Melati is a cosmetics store located in Bandung. In order to develop an adequate store business, a good financial and product management is required. However, this store haven't met those requirements. The store not yet have automatic record of any transaction, therefore the supply list is remain unclear and often leads to miscalculation of the supply itself. Cosmetic products has an expiration date that needs to be regularly noted so that no products would be wasted and creates an imbalance in financial report. Rumah Melati's system is not enticing enough to the costumers. If these problems are not be overcome in no time, the store would face a bankruptcy. To overcome these problems, a Development of Desktop-Based Financial Transaction and Supply Management System in Cosmetics Store is, in fact, needed to manage the sales transactions, supply, expiration date information, financial report, promotion, and membership system. This research started with requirement engineering which analyzed to 36 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. Based on that, design and implementation are conducted. Implementation is conduct using Java Programming Language with Model View Controller (MVC) design pattern and MySQL database. Afterward, unit testing; integration testing; validation testing are conducted which result complexity number under 10 and 100% valid. In the sequel, usability testing resulted in score of 82.5 which means the system is categorized as excellent.

Abstract

Aisyiyah Islamic Hospital is one of the hospitals in Malang that collaborates with BPJS Kesehatan to provide health services, one of which is the inpatient BPJS service. In carrying out inpatient BPJS services, Aisyiyah Islamic Hospital has several problems that hinder the running of services such as lack of human resources, unbalanced workloads, inter-division miscommunication, and poor computer quality. To solve existing problems, it is necessary to evaluate the current business processes by modeling business processes using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). The next step is to evaluate business processes using the Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) to determine the quality factor and the suitability of achieving the company's targets. From the results of the evaluation, an analysis was conducted to find the root of the problem using one of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques, namely Fishbone Analysis. The next step is to improve business processes using one of the methods of Business Process Improvement (BPI), namely streamlining. The results of the business process time analysis simulation of BPJS service inpatient care through the Polispesialis have a time reduction percentage of 26.69%. In addition, the business process of registering BPJS inpatient services through the UGD has a percentage reduction in time of 11.91% and in the business process of inpatient BPJS patient care has a time reduction percentage of 4.22%.
