Abstract

A disaster is an event which causes an interference in a life and and livelihoods in a society. The flood disaster potential happened at Wonoasri village was caused by geographical location from Wonoasri village which is in the form of lowland and many formed lands that are concave. Thus almost each year, those places are experiencing flood. The flood is caused by the overflowing river at Sananrejo, Curahnongko and Mayang River which result in the occurrence of clogging due to sedimentation in some watersheds (referred as DAS in Indonesia). The aimed of this studied was to analyse the flood disaster risk at Wonoasri Village, Tempurejo Sub-District, Jember District.  To did that, this studied used quantitative method and descriptive-analysis.  The analysis of disaster risk was gained through weighing and disaster risk analysis matrix as well as interview and observations. Samples used in this present studied were 110 respondents. They were Wonoasri people consisting of Curahlele and Kraton area.  The leveled of flood disaster risk at Wonoasri Village, Tempurejo Sub-District, Jember District was in the yellow zone meaning that it was placed in the moderate risk leveled with a scale of 2 so the hypothesis statement of flood disaster risk leveled at Wonoasri Village, Tempurejo Sub-District, Jember District. To collected the data, this studied used questionnaire which measured the average score of overall respondents. Disaster risk could be overcome by decreasing the leveled of vulnerability and by increasing community capacity through educating them about disaster handling done through the socialization held periodically for the society and all organizations related to the disaster risk countermeasure. Abstract

The burden of Tuberculosis in children cases in the world is unknown due to the lack of diagnostic tools that are "child friendly" and the inadequacy of recording and reporting systems. TB findings in East Java province is second only to west java and the highest number of cases is in Surabaya. The purpose of this study was to analyse the relationship between history of ISTC training with the discovery of TB suspected Children. This research was done with case control design. The case samples were 14 doctors who found suspected TB in children and control sample that was 56 doctors which did not find suspected TB in children. Sampling technique was simple random sampling. Data analysis using Odds Ratio (OR) and 95% CI. The results of the analysis showed that OR value = 5.222 (95% CI 1.470 <OR <18.546). Which means the history of participation or had received training on TB DOTS / ISTC program from independent practice doctor have the chance to find suspected TB Children 5.222 times higher than doctors who have never attended or received any training on the TB DOTS/ISTC program. Suggestions are submitted to the department of health or primary health care to provide training of TB DOTS program to the doctors in the area of ​​Surabaya and cooperate with independent practicing physicians especially in recording and reporting in order to improve case finding, the coverage of TB in children treatment is increasing.   Keywords: History of ISTC training, physician practice, TB children

Abstract

One of types of normal human emotion is being angry. Unadaptive anger is passive and aggressive, meanwhile, adaptive anger is assertive. Adolescent phase is critical phase in searching for self identity. Uncontrol anger in adolescent phase causes violent behavior and it has negative impact for the personnel, group, and environment. Moreover, this research aimed at identifying the influence of assertive training against the control of teenager’s anger at Junior High School in Surabaya, East Java-Indonesia. The researchers utilized queasy experiment method through pretest – posttest approach with control group by utilizing consecutive sampling technique. Meanwhile, data collection utilized questionnaire. There were two kinds of questionnaires which were used, which were for screening and for prepost-test. Assertive training aimed at improving teenager’s control while they were angry. Research result showed that the decrease of anger was significant between before and after being given assertive training (p < 0.05). The difference of anger score between in control group and in treatment group was significant (p = 0.05). However, assertive training could be used as alternative way in order to improve teenager’s control while they were in angry emotion rather than other therapies. Abstract

Health human resource is a strategic issue in the implementation of government’s primary health services in Indonesia. The problem of distribution of both the number and diversity of health human resources in Indonesia is still a problem, making it more difficult to achieve the national health development goals equally. This is a descriptive research with literature review approach. Study literature was conducted by reviewing the regulation in Indonesia, journal and other articles related to health human resource problem. Distribution of health human resources at Public Health Center (PHC) in Indonesia is not evenly distributed. Some of PHC have health workers exceed the standards, while others are shortage of health personnel. In addition, the problem of synchronization of health human resources data derived from documents issued by the central and local governments is still a problem in Indonesia. It is necessary to formulate the planning of health human resource needs in each primary health care, this is due to differences in characteristics and needs. Central and local government work together to solve health human resource problems in Indonesia both on availability, diversity and quality of health human resources.  Keywords: Availability, Diversity of types, Health human resources.
