Abstract

The physiological problems that often arise during the first postoperative day are pain on the former incision. One of the nursing self-care actions for non-pharmacological pain management and is a complementary therapy is a foot reflexology massage. This study aims to determine the effect of foot reflexology treatment on the level of pain in Sectio Caesarea postoperative patients in Masyithoh Islamic Hospital, Bangil. The research method used was Quasy-experiment With Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Research subjects were postoperative patient of Sectio Caesarea selected with non probability sampling technique of purposive sampling type of 30 respondent, divided into 15 respondents for intervention group and 15 respondents for control group. The average pain level after posttest in the intervention group was in mild pain level and in the control group was in moderate pain level. The Wilcoxon test results showed that there was a difference between pretest and posttest pain levels in both the intervention group and the control group. Mann-Whitney statistical test results showed that there was a difference between posttest pain levels in the intervention group and posttest in the control group with p-value = 0.01 (p <0.05). The conclusion of this research is foot reflexology massage affect the decrease of pain level in postoperative patient of Sectio Caesarea in Masyithoh Islamic Hospital Bangil. It is suggested that nurses should use foot reflexology massage as a complementary therapy because it can reduce pain levels. Keywords: Sectio Caesarea Post Operation; Foot Reflexology Massage; Pain Level

Abstract

Stunting is a growth disorder in toddlers and is often found in children aged less than 24 months. Basic Health Research stated that the national prevalence of stunting under five children in 2013 was 37.2%, which means there was an increase compared to 2010 (35.6%) and 2007 (36.8%). The prevalence of stunting under five in Malang Regency tends to increase in the first 3 years and decrease in the last 2 years during the 2012-2016 period. The highest prevalence was in 2014 at 30.6% and the lowest prevalence occurred in 2016 at 22.9%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the sociological and anthropological factors of stunting families in Malang Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach and design to examine the issue of stunting in three villages within Malang Regency. The study focused on families with stunted children as the primary participants. A total of 33 families were selected as samples, with 11 families chosen from each village. In addition to the families, the study also conducted Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with various stakeholders. The participants in the FGDs included village heads, cadres, teachers, religious leaders, and members of the village's women's organization. Each village had five participants, resulting in a total of 15 participants across the three villages. The collected data were analyzed using a descriptive approach, which allowed for a comprehensive understanding of the research findings. Among the pregnant women surveyed, 78.8% followed a satisfactory pattern of consuming food three times a day. However, only 24.2% demonstrated a balanced diet during pregnancy, including staple foods, vegetables, animal and vegetable side dishes, fruits, and milk. Some pregnant women adhered to food taboos based on their beliefs, avoiding sea fish, kelotok fish, petai, pineapple, and durian. Breastfeeding was practiced by 93.9% of the surveyed households. However, 60.61% of toddlers showed a severe deficit in energy intake, while 69.7% consumed an excessive amount of protein. Fat intake was reported by 39.39% of respondents, and carbohydrate intake by 87.88%. In terms of knowledge levels, 15.1% of respondents exhibited good knowledge, 30.3% had moderate knowledge, and 45.5% had lower levels of knowledge. Regarding sanitation, 81.82% of households had access to latrine services, while 18.18% did not. Drinking water sources varied, with 18.82% relying on boiled water and 18.18% using bottled water. However, cleanliness within most of the respondents' residences was still lacking. Several anthropological and sociological factors play a significant role in the occurrence of stunting in toddlers, which include factors of maternal eating habits during pregnancy, dietary restrictions, the mother's knowledge of nutrition and feeding practices, and poor household sanitation. These factors contribute to the prevalence of stunting in young children. Keywords: stunting; sociology; anthropology

Abstract

The symptoms of chikungunya disease are generally similar to the symptoms of other viral diseases, except that chikungunya disease can cause joint disorders and even paralysis. Incorrect initial diagnosis will result in inappropriate treatment of the disease Thus it is necessary to study the identified antibodies that can neutralize and protect the body from alphavirus infections, including chikungunya. There are several antibodies that can neutralize chikungunya including CHK152 which neutralizes virus by inhibiting fusion with stabilizing the surface area of the virus, hindering the exposure of the fusion-loop, likely neutralizing infection by blocking fusion. Otherwise CHK265 inhibits the life cycle of the virus in a way neutralize infection by blocking entry at a post-attachment pre-fusion step. The low energy of binding between antigen-antibodies will stabilize the interaction of both. Therefore, this aims to find the best affinity energy for antibodies to be used in the rapid diagnostic component of anti-chikungunya virus (CHIKV). The binding energies were calculated using FireDock an efficient method for the refinement and rescoring of rigid-body docking solutions, through rearrangement of the interface sidechains and adjustment of the relative orientation of the molecules. The results of this study  obtained energy scores from CKH152 and CHK265 are -125.78 and -29.94, indicate that CHK265 antibody affinity energy is higher than CHK152. It can be concluded that the best affinity energy for CHIKV diagnostic component is CHK152.Keywords: energy affinity; CHK152; CHK265; E1E2 CHIKV; molecular docking

Abstract

Background: The multiple roles of midwives in the health care system raises a question mark on how sharp this role is in preventing stunting to create a healthy province. This research has an impact on evaluating stunting prevalence reduction programs in healthy provincial programs so that governance improvements can be obtained. Objectives: to obtain certainty status specifically the role of midwives in reducing stunting prevalence in the program to create a healthy province. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive design. The research population was midwives and midwifery students (n=59). The inclusion criteria were midwives and midwifery students who took part in healthy provincial seminars. The exclusion criteria were midwives and midwifery students who did not attend the seminar. The control variable was a minimizing stunting prevalence rates in the midwifery perspective. The instrument was a questionnaire that includes demographic data and technical data about the program and the role of midwives. Processing the data was univariate and analyzed descriptively. Results: Of the 59 study populations, 50.9% said the stunting program was urgent, 56.1% was in line with the capacity of the local government, and 50% said the role of midwives had not been maximized, especially in the field of health education (71.9%). The cause of the slow achievement of the program is the lack of cross-sectoral cooperation (61.4%), and the low socioeconomic level of the community (57.9%).Conclusion: This study recommended involving midwives and midwifery students in the formation of a stunting management team, and obtaining accurate data in the prevalence reduction program

Abstract

The cesarean delivery rate has increased globally, exceeding the standard cesarean delivery rate set by WHO. The average cesarean birth rate is 27% in 19 high-income countries with an average rate of 14 to 33% in each country. Cesarean delivery that is not based on strong medical indications has short-term and long-term health consequences. Among them is the failure of early breastfeeding initiation, which is very important for the growth and development of newborns. The purpose of this review is to see the relationship between cesarean delivery and Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (EIBF) and to see the factors that most play a role in the success of early initiation of breastfeeding after cesarean delivery. This review is based on Pubmed, Scopus, and Google Scholar data. The data is generalized and extracted into Table 1 based on factors related to the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation in women with cesarean deliveries. More attention is needed on the physical, psychological and physiological recovery of lactation in women after cesarean delivery so that the interventions carried out for the success of early breastfeeding initiation can be implemented effectively. Keywords: early initiation breastfeeding; cesarean delivery

Abstract

Forensic dentistry is a branch of medical science that deals with identifying and examining evidence through teeth and evaluating and presenting findings related to the oral cavity, jaws, teeth, and oral soft tissues to determine a person's identity. One of the identification methods that can be used in forensic odontology is lip prints. This study aims to see and examine the appearance of lip print patterns (cheiloscopy) based on age in Bojonegoro, East Java, Indonesia. This research was a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional approach and used the classification of lip print patterns proposed by Suzuki & Tsuchihashi. The research sample consisted of 100 people taken from the age group of toddlers, children, adolescents, early adults, late adults, early elderly, late elderly, and seniors. The results of this study indicated that the most common lip print pattern was type II followed by type III and type I. There was diversity and variation in lip print patterns in each age group in Bojonegoro, East Java, Indonesia. Possibly due to racial variations and subject maturity. Keywords: forensic identification; lip print; cheiloscopy
