Abstract

Abstract - This research focuses on the factors of sarumawashi development. It is a cultural research which views the factors as the activator towards cultural complex in the form of environment, ideology, institution and economy which influence the development of sarumawashi. This research has three objectives; the first is to describe sarumawashi  history in Japan, the second  is to figure out the factors which make sarumawashi became tourism asset in Japan, and the third is to describe the strategies which are used by Japanese government to develop sarumawashi .  The analysis in this research is done using three approaches, which are historical approach, evolutionary approach and functional approach.  The result of this research shows that sarumawashi  which has been existing since thousand years ago in Japan has  historical values that can not be separated from Japanese society’s socio-cultural, which are related to believing system and Japanese class system. Further more, there are two factors influencing the development of sarumawashi, which are internal factor and external factor. The internal factor is sarumawashi actors’ attempt to maintain sarumawashi, while the external factor is the Japanese government’s support through human rights policy and cultural policy. The internal factor creates intimacy between sarumawashi and Japanese people, while the external factor can activate cultural complex in the form of environment, ideology, institution, and economy. Those cultural components are then collaborated with the sarumawashi actors’ cultural activity, then they create a complete working system which supports the development of sarumawashi so it can survive until today and became one of Japanese tourism asset.  Keywords:  Sarumawashi, traditional art, development strategy, tourism asset Abstrak – Penelitian terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan kesenian sarumawashi ini merupakan suatu penelitian budaya yang memandang faktor-faktor tersebut sebagai penggerak kompleks kultural yang berupa lingkungan, ideologi, institusi dan ekonomi yang berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan sarumawashi. Penelitian ini memiliki tiga tujuan. Pertama, menguraikan sejarah sarumawashi di Jepang, kedua, memaparkan faktor-faktor yang membuat sarumawashi bisa menjadi aset pariwisata Jepang dan ketiga, mendeskripsikan strategi pemerintah Jepang untuk mengembangkan sarumawashi menjadi aset wisata di Jepang. Analisis dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga pendekatan, yaitu pendekatan historis, pendekatan evolusioner dan pendekatan fungsional. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa sarumawashi yang telah ada sejak ribuan tahun lalu di Jepang mempunyai nilai historis yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari sosio-kultural  masyarakat Jepang, yakni meyangkut sistem kepercayaan dan menyangkut sistem masyarakat hirarkial. Selanjutnya, terdapat dua faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan kesenian sarumawashi, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal berupa usaha mandiri para pelaku sarumawashi untuk mempertahankan sarumawashi, sedangkan faktor eksternal berupa dukungan pemerintah Jepang yang diwujudkan melalui kebijakan HAM dan kebijakan budaya. Faktor internal menciptakan jalinan keakraban antara sarumawashi dan masyarakat Jepang, sedangan faktor eksternal dapat menggerakkan kompleks kultural yang berupa lingkungan, ideologi, institusi, dan ekonomi. Komponen-komponen budaya tersebut kemudian bersinergi dengan aktivitas budaya pelaku sarumawashi dan menciptakan suatu sistem kerja yang utuh yang mendukung perkembangan kesenian sarumawashi sehingga dapat terus bertahan hingga dewasa ini hingga bisa menjadi salah satu aset pariwisata Jepang. Kata Kunci: Sarumawashi, kesenian tradisional, strategi pengembangan, aset wisata

Abstract

Yogyakarta is one area that has great potential in tourism. One type is a rapidly growing travel culinary tour. Trends tourists now come to a tourist area to search or hunt for traditional food typical of the area he visited. Restaurant which is the object of this study is the hotel's restaurants in the area joined in JCJHA DIY. Traditional foods commonly consumed by a particular community, with distinctive flavor that is accepted by the society. Results from observations and interviews conducted, all hotels in Yogyakarta joined in JCJHA have an active participation of the traditional food of Yogyakarta.  Keywords: Participation, Hotel, Traditional foods

Abstract

ABSTRACT - D'Cokro Hotel Yogyakarta is a company engaged in accommodation services, which requires the existence of an understanding of how to handle a room bookings to give more satisfaction to the guests.  In order for a room booking service can be carried out effectively, accurately and quickly.One aim of this study is to know the reservation staff in an effort to meet guest's wishes when booking a room. The approach to research method used is descriptive qualitative research approach. This study provides an overview of the task part of the reservation section in serving guests. Findings arising problems are discussed in this section are qualitatively through reference library. Data collected through observation, interviews, library research and documentation.The results of this study indicate that atitue or hospitality on the responsibility given to the section of the reservation are the key to success in serving guests D'Cokro. The application of information technology in booking a room through this section can help employees serve guests quickly, accurately and more efficiently than in the service book manually.Keywords : Optimalization, Reservation Section, Hotel Reservation

Abstract

Abstract - Pilgrimage tourism is a kind of specific interest tourism. Gua Maria Jatiningsih or called by Sendang Jatiningsih is one of worship place once for Chatolic society pilgrimage in the sub-district Jitar, Sumber Arum, Moyudan, Sleman. The purpose of this study is to determine how potential of Sendang Jatiningsih as a religious tourism object, the influence of Sendang Jatiningsih toward social-economy life of community surrounded, the role of Sendang Jatiningsih on life-development Christian society as well as recognizing the SWOT analysis of Sendang Jatiningsih. Practical benefits gained from this research are as guidance in the potential development as religious tourism object in Sendang Jatiningsih. Type of the research is qualitative descriptive research by SWOT analysis. Result of this research that the presence of sendang, cave and statue of Mother Mary which are the place for prayers to the Lord Jesus, retreats, outbound, Bible parks, Griya Recollection, the availability of Homestay, souvenir and food stalls, as well as leather puppet show in the Anniversary of Sendang Jatiningsih which is tourism potential inherent from its place. The presence of Sendang Jatiningsih is able to absorb the labor of local society. The meaning of Mary pilgrimage is to express reverence specifically to Mary due to She is a saint or even very saint. Based upon SWOT analysis, the power of Sendang Jatiningsih is the strategic location, natural area of Sendang Jatiningsih, unique shape of building. While the weaknesses are unclearly signposts to that place, inadequate for facilities and infrastructure, as well as the difficulty of reaching its place to elderly. Viewing from external factor, the chance of Sendang Jatiningsih is a number of tourists visiting the pilgrimage tourism site and also wealth tourism supporting each other. While the threat of Sendang Jatiningsih is power of competition with other tourism area and the similarity of tourism object offered by them. Gua Maria Jatiningsih atau yang disebut dengan Sendang Jatiningsih merupakan salah satu tempat peribadatan sekaligus peziarahan umat Katolik yang ada di dusun Jitar, Sumber Arum, Moyudan, Sleman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana potensi sendang Jatiningsih sebagai objek wisata religi, pengaruh sendang Jatiningsih terhadap kehidupan sosial ekonomi warga sekitar, peran Sendang Jatiningsih dalam pengembangan kehidupan umat Kristiani serta untuk mengetahui Analisis SWOT Sendang Jatiningsih. Manfaat praktis yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai pedoman dalam pengembangan potensi sebagai objek wisata religi di Sendang Jatiningsih, Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis SWOT. Hasil Dari Penelitian ini bahwa Keberadaan sendang, gua dan patung Bunda Maria yang merupakan tempat untuk ritual doa kepada Tuhan Yesus, retret outbond, taman Alkitab, Griya Rekoleksi, tersedianya Homestay, Souvenir dan warung makan, serta  pagelaran wayang kulit di hari Ulang Tahun Sendang Jatiningsih merupakan potensi wisata yang terkandung di Sendang Jatiningsih. Keberadaan Sendang Jatiningsih ini mampu menyerap tenaga kerja warga sekitar. Makna ziarah Maria adalah untuk mengungkapkan penghormatan secara khusus kepada Maria karena Ia adalah orang kudus atau bahkan sangat kudus. Berdasarkan Analisis SWOT, kekuatan Sendang Jatiningsih adalah lokasi yang strategis, komplek Sendang Jatiningsih yang tampak alami, bentuk bangunan yang unik, Sedangkan yang menjadi kelemahan adalah petunjuk arah yang belum begitu jelas, sarana dan prasarana kurang memadai, serta lokasi sendang sulit dijangkau oleh lanjut usia. Dilihat dari Faktor eksternal, peluang Sendang Jatiningsih adalah  banyaknya minat wisatawan mengunjungi tempat wisata ziarah, serta Kekayaan objek wisata yang saling mendukung. Sedangkan yang menjadi ancaman bagi Sendang Jatiningsih adalah kekuatan persaingan dengan tujuan wisata yang dimiliki daerah lain dan Kesamaan jenis objek wisata yang ditawarkan oleh daerah lain.Kata Kunci : Potensi,  Sendang Jatiningsih, Objek Wisata Religi.

Abstract

At this time the various sectors of the State foreign exchange earners are increasing in one of which is the tourism sector. Authors interested in taking the material on Hygiene and Sanitation Inna Garuda Yogyakarta for its role in Maintaining Quality food and drink at the hotel as part of the hotel services. This study intends to provide an overview of the F & B depaertemen task in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of food served to guests. Method used in preparing this paper is descriptive quantitative research. Data collection was intended to determine how the application of hygiene and sanitation in food processing hygiene, storage of equipment and supplies the correct storage of food materials, and presentation of the food is served to guests. From the results of a study and discussion suggests that the role of hygiene and sanitation of food to maintain the quality of food in the kitchen coffee shop is necessary for food produced can be presented perfectly. Perhaps the trainees held periodically for employees, especially kitchen staff about the role of hygiene and sanitation to further improve the quality of the product produced by the food and beverage department. Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, the authors examined the development of industrial estate in Sentolo, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY). By using qualitative deductive method, the authors analyzed more about the development of industrial estate in Sentolo. Industrial estate development has become one of the government's main programs in order to accelerate economic development in the regions. Considering its importance, Yogyakarta Special Region Province planned to develop industrial estate in Sentolo, Kulon Progo. On its development progress, although Sentolo had suitable location for industrial estate, there was no implementation until now. It was because there was no single fixed master plan to guide the industrial estate development and no specific institution which handled the development processes. To implement this industrial estate development in Sentolo, there were several things the government of DIY needed to implement: applying the fixed master plan industrial estate development and establishing special division for developing industrial estate.Keywords: Industrial Estate, SentoloAbstrakPada tulisan ini, penulis meneliti tentang perkembangan kawasan industri di Sentolo, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Pembangunan kawasan industri menjadi salah satu program utama pemerintah untuk mempercepat pembangunan ekonomi di daerah. Mengingat pentingnya hal tersebut, DIY berencana untuk mengembangkan kawasan industri di Sentolo, Kulon Progo. Dalam perkembangannya, meski Sentolo memiliki lokasi yang cocok untuk kawasan industri, belum ada implementasi pembangunan kawasan industri hingga saat ini. Hal ini dikarenakan tidak ada satu pun master plan yang tetap untuk dijadikan pedoman pengembangan kawasan industri serta tidak adanya institusi khusus yang menangani proses pembangunan kawasan industri. Untuk melaksanakan pengembangan kawasan industri ini di Sentolo, ada beberapa hal yang harus dilakukan: menerapkan master plan pengembangan kawasan industri yang pasti dan membentuk divisi khusus untuk pengembangan kawasan industri.Kata kunci: Kawasan Industri, Sentolo

Abstract

This research aimed at improving the learning motivation of the eleventh grade IPS2 students of SMA Taman Madya Jetis through the use of Mind Map media.  Based on the results of classroom action observation being carried out, it was concluded that the use of Mind Map media was able to improve the motivation and performance of the eleventh grade IPS2 students of SMA Taman Madya Jetis. At Cycle I, the motivation improvement was achieved with a fairly-good descriptor (in accordance with the use of PAP II computation) with mean score of 90.39; and 32% of the students were courageous to present their group and paired discussion results, while at Cycle II the students’ motivation was at a high category with the mean score of 98.10; and 28% of the students were courageous to present and explain the material in front of other students in the classroom using the Mind Map. Abstract

Abstract - Exhibition business grows rapidly in Yogyakarta. This is triggered by increasing business competition among companies, so they need space to market their products. Accessibility, amenity and attractions also trigger the growth of exhibition industry in Yogyakarta, which was awarded with “The Most Popular MICE Destination” by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. This condition is captured by exhibition businesspeople. In its development, new event organizers emerge to join exhibition business in Yogyakarta, so competition grows among them. Marketing strategy is a tool for businesspeople to market their products to consumers. Marketing strategy has a marketing mix called 7P, which is promotion, product, process, price, place, physical evidence, people. There are only a few studies on marketing strategies of event organizers. This study was aimed to determine the marketing strategy performed by event organizers in Yogyakarta. The method used was qualitative with categorization of themes in 7P dimension in marketing mix. The data collection technique was in-depth interview with event organizers. Data analysis process was performed by collecting data (in-depth interview, observation and documentation). After the data was collection, data reduction and data selection were performed. Then, coding was performed to find keywords and group keywords with the same meanings into certain categories. The next step was combining categories on dimensions of marketing strategy performed by event organizers. This method determined that the marketing mix dimensions used by most event organizers were promotion, place, and product. Several event organizers also added price and people into the marketing mix. Physical evidence dimension wasn’t found in the marketing mix of event organizers. Marketing strategy outside of 7P marketing mix was also found, i.e. cooperation, maintenance customer, and evaluation.Keywords: marketing strategy, event organizer, MICE tourism Abstrak - Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi pemasaran yang diterapkan oleh para pelaku bisnis MICE di Yogyakarta. Eksplorasi dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif. Dengan memahami strategi pemasaran yang selama ini diterapkan oleh para pelaku bisnis EO dalam memasarkan wisata MICE, maka dimungkinkan untuk dilakukannya evaluasi untuk meningkatkan pemasaran wisata MICE sehingga kualitas wisata MICE di Yogyakarta dapat terus meningkat.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, eknik pengumpulan data yang utama dilakukan melalui wawancara terhadap 7 narasumber dari beberapa perusahaan EO yang berbeda.Penulis menggunakan bauran pemasaran 7p (promotion, place, people, product, price, proses dan physical evidence). Meskipun tidak semua aspek bauran pemasaran sesuai dengan hasil riset, meskipun demikian penelitian ini telah mengungkap berbagai strategi baru dalam pengembangan perusahaan.Kerjasama antar perusahaan dan customer harus dijaga dengan baik, disamping itu penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan seberapa besar kepuasan yang diberikan kepada pengunjung.Saat ini EO perlu melakukan berbagai inovsi dan memunculkan ide-ide kreatif, sehingga kerjasama perusahaan dengan para sponsor juga dianggap sebagai aspek terpenting.Keywords: marketing strategy, event organizer, MICE tourism
