Abstract

Rice plant is one of the important factors in supporting human life. When it starts to grow, of course, rice plants also often face problems such as pests or diseases that cause plants to die and lead to crop failure. So proper handling is needed to overcome the disease in rice plants. One of the treatments that can be done is by detecting diseases in rice plants, so that farmers can provide appropriate treatment for these problems. The research data will be processed through several stages, then the dataset used in this study consists of three classes of rice plant diseases, namely, bacterial leaf blight, brown spot, leaf smut and one class of healthy/healthy rice plants with a total of 16000 datasets collected from sources www.kaggle.net and previous research. The parameters tested in this study, namely hidden layer and optimizer affect system performance in the form of accuracy, precision, recall, fl-score, and loss values. In this study, the best results were obtained by using four hidden layers and Adam optimizer. Accuracy was 99.66%, precision, recall, fl-score was 99.66%. 100% and a loss of 0.0047 as well as a graph of the accuracy and loss performance in a good fit.

Abstract

The less fossil fuel reserves in the world, especially Indonesia and environmental problems in the global sector caused by oil and gas exploration and mining, then alternative energy sources to replace fossil fuels or better known as renewable energy need to be developed. The Renun Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) in North Sumatra has a water reservoir or so-called Regulating Pond with an area of ​​11.42 ha, the size of the Regulating Pond which is quite large is very appropriate if it is used for a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) because there is no land acquisition , and the Regulating Pond is more stable, there are no rising and falling contours. The solar panels used in floating solar panels on the regulating pound are 20,441 Polycristaline solar panels, 300 Wp power type Blue Sun Solar Energi BSM270-300P-60 (300W), the power generated is 6,123,300 Wp (6,123.3 kWp) or 6, 12 MWp. The batteries in PLTS consist of 275 series and 3.5 parallel and the total battery required is 1,100 JYC Batteries, OPzV3000 type batteries, and 9 inverters of the ABB brand PVI 500 TL CN with a power of 560 kW and a voltage of 360 V. The potential obtained from the PLTS planning in Regulating Pound for North Renun Hydroelectric Power Plant using Helioscope software simulation is 489,659 kWh/month.

Abstract

During this time, Panting’s calibration process has been done with mere reliance on human hearing.  Thus, this study is intended to assist the calibration process of Panting. The expirement has been done by using Compressive Sensing, MFCC and SVM. Moreover, the six scenarios are applied to the classification process are classification using five audios with different compression ratios and the original audio. This study results the best state of the Panting’s note recognition system is given by using the compressed audio with ratio of 2,5%. It is proven by its 97,96% of accuracy that is computed in 0,06274 second of duration.

Abstract

In industry, electric motors play an important role as energy for motion in equipment in the production process. During the starting process, it can draw currents up to 5 to 7 times the nominal current when working normally. So that it can have a bad effect on the electric motor and the surrounding electrical equipment. The method that uses the ABB PSTTX 570 Soft Starting is through the method of starting an electric motor using a thyristor circuit. The soft start method is suitable for cars that are quite powerful. The purpose of the soft start method is to obtain a smaller starting current, to reduce the impact of large peak currents during the starting process and to achieve a constant rated speed. In this method, the current in the motor flows slowly during starting until it reaches the rated value within a certain period of time certain. Soft starting measurable display when motor voltage is 34%, moor current is 7.3 A active power is 0.14 kW when motor voltage is 70% motor current is 1782.5 A with active 371.09 kW and when motor voltage is 100% up motor 111.6 A with an active power of 23.65 kW. In terms of size, the advantage of the soft starter is that it is simpler than the inverter starting equipment.

Abstract

Identification of the size of the evidence file conversation can be one of the tools for various purposes such as in the police world. Determining the class of the room from the recording can be an additional clue in case processing.  One way for the police to identify the class of a room is by creating a room class detection system. The class of the room can be determined by measuring the reverberation time using the LPC algorithm by extracting the characteristics of the training data in the form of audio. After obtaining the characteristics, the system will store these characteristics in the form of a dataset for testing. Then, the test data for which the room class is not yet known is inputted into the test system. KNN will classify the test data based on the previously trained dataset. The last process of the system will issue the value of accuracy and computational time from system testing. This study uses MATLAB calculation software as a calculation and simulation process, using 63 training data and 18 test data.  The  accuracy of  the  system  test  for detecting room class based on reverberation time using the LPC and KNN methods has resulted in a number with the largest accuracy value of 83.33% and computation time along 4,94657 seconds with a K value of 3, LPC order of 12, number of frames 240, and the Hanning window.

Abstract

The world uses all resources to meet daily electrical energy needs so that shortly, we will run out of ore/mineral/petroleum, a source of electrical energy. As a result, renewable energy solutions have reached the current great demand to save natural resources and solve the energy crisis. Solar energy is rapidly gaining notoriety as an essential means of expanding renewable energy resources. Solar panels are devices that cleanly convert sunlight into electricity and offer a practical solution to the problem of generating electricity in remote areas. Therefore, it is significant for those of us in electrical engineering to understand the technology associated with this field. The solar panel system must be maximized to make solar energy more feasible and efficient than fossil energy. An automatic sun position tracking or solar tracker is a viable approach to optimizing the efficiency of a solar panel system. A solar tracker is a system that controls the movement of solar panels so that they are always aligned with the sun's position. The solar tracker uses a dual-axis system to align the solar panels with the sun's position. By using a solar tracker, it is expected that the solar panel system will produce maximum output power.

Abstract

East Luwu Regency is one of the areas in South Sulawesi which has quite large natural resource potential, including mineral resources such as nickel. However, the need for energy to run this industrial sector is a challenge in itself, especially in terms of supplying environmentally friendly energy. This study aims to analyze the potential of renewable energy sources in the region and how their use can reduce dependence on fossil energy sources and environmental pathways generated by the nickel mining industry. The research method used is a qualitative method with Focused Group Discussion (FGD). The results of the study show that the integration of renewable energy sources such as hydroelectric power plants (PLTA) and microgrid infrastructure has great potential in the utilization of nickel resources in East Luwu.

Abstract

In the current rapid development of electronics, the use of Arduino microcontrollers is quite often used in electronic devices, one of which is an inverter. An inverter is a device that can convert direct electric current (DC) into alternating electric current (AC). To get a pure sine wave on the inverter, you can use a technique to modulate the width of the DC wave signal called SPWM (Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation), because of its advantages in producing low harmonic disturbances. This method is carried out by combining two square waves as a carrier signal of 10 KHz and a reference signal of 50 Hz. The reference signal and carrier signal are generated with the Arduino Nano microcontroller, by amplifying the SPWM signal using the IR2110 IC, so that it is able to carry out the switching process on the Full-bridge inverter circuit using the IRF3205 Mosfet component and the inverter voltage is increased by a 7V/220V 10A step-up transformer so that expected to produce an AC voltage of 220 V with a frequency of 50 Hz sine wave.

Abstract

This research was conducted to look at the characteristics of current and voltage harmonics in an electric power system loaded with non-linear loads. The inverter is a non-linear load that is widely used in industry, government agencies and households. In theory, the inverter is a non-linear load that can produce harmonics in the electric power system, where the resulting harmonics will flow to the source and to the load. Therefore, this research is to look at the characteristics of harmonics in the power system produced by a three-phase inverter, where this research was carried out in two scenarios. The first scenario is to see current and voltage harmonics under unloaded inverter conditions and the second scenario is to see current and voltage harmonics under loaded inverter conditions. Both of these scenarios are carried out with a varied source voltage. In this study using a passive filter in the form of a single-tuned filter, the simulation results were carried out on conditions before the filter was installed for a THDv value of 38.94% and after the filter was installed it was 27.43%. The difference in value, before installing the filter and after installing the filter is 11.51%. this still exceeds the 1952 IEEE 512 standard, so more than one filter is needed to reduce harmonics

Abstract

Hepatitis is caused by various factors such as viral infections, toxic substances such as alcohol, certain drugs. Many cases of hepatitis have subtle or subclinical symptoms. In Indonesia, the part of East Nusa Tenggara, hepatitis disease is low, because most people who suffer from mild hepatitis C positive in pregnant women are mostly relatively high. More than double the national average of 2.2%. Based on the above problems, an application in the form of an expert system is needed to diagnose liver disorders, one of which is the Bayes theorem method. Bayes' theorem is a method that applies rules relating to probabilities or probability values. Hepatitis patients can die within a few weeks if not treated immediately. It will be used as an initiative to conduct studies on intelligent systems for diagnosing hepatitis. Therefore, this research creates a system that can help doctors treat hepatitis. With the concept of an expert system able to analyze problems and draw conclusions about the transfer of expert knowledge to the system. The results of the studies tested have shown the multiplication result of the highest classification value with the Bayes method and is a type of liver disorder that the patient suffers from.
