Abstract

New Public Management emerged as a new paradigm that was a draft reform towards good governance. Good Governance can be achieved if public sector governance and public sector performance, each of which is a well-implemented financial transparency and accountability, are implemented. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Perceive Ease of Use and Useful Peerceived on the acceptance of Regional Financial Information Systems (RIFS). This research is conducted by quantitative analysis methods. The population in this study was all users of the Regional Financial Information System in Jeneponto Regency with a total of 44 users using saturated sample techniques. Data is analyzed using data quality tests, classical assumption tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the study showed that the RIFS revenue in the Jeneponto District Government Agency was influenced by the user's perception of the ease of use of information systems. In this case the state civil apparatus either as a financial operator or treasurer in the working area of the Jeneponto District Government agency. Simultaneously the perception of ease of use and usefulness affects the acceptance of RIFS. In this case the operator / user feels that RIFS is easy to use and useful in doing the job.

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate how brand awareness and brand image influence the purchasing decisions of Bugis-Makassar consumers in Makassar City when buying halal products, given the competitive market and the increasing availability of foreign products. The study utilized a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents using purposive sampling. The data collected was analyzed using multiple linear regression. The study found that both brand awareness and brand image had a positive and significant impact on the purchasing decisions of Bugis-Makassar consumers when buying halal products. Furthermore, brand awareness and brand image had a significant impact on the purchasing decisions of halal products when analyzed simultaneously. The R value of 51.9% indicates that brand awareness and brand image variables have a strong influence on the purchasing decisions of halal products. The findings of this study have significant implications for businesses operating in the halal product market. Companies should prioritize building brand awareness and creating a positive brand image to attract and retain customers in the competitive market. Furthermore, companies should understand the unique needs and preferences of the Bugis-Makassar community to tailor their marketing strategies accordingly.

Abstract

The important role of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in driving economic growth requires a deep understanding of the factors that influence their performance. The number of samples in this study was 175 respondents, processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method through the AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structure) program. This research explores the dynamics of entrepreneurial competence and product innovation as the main determinants of SME success. In the context of SMEs that have survived for two years in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, this research reveals that increasing entrepreneurial competence has a positive impact on business performance. Simultaneously, effective product innovation is proven to make a significant contribution to superior business outcomes. This study also highlights the mediating role of the market environment, demonstrating its influence on the relationship between entrepreneurial competence, product innovation, and business performance. These findings provide valuable insights for policy makers, educators and business actors who aim to increase the competitiveness and adaptability of SMEs amidst rapid business change.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the performance of the Vocational Education Quality Assurance Development Center in the field of Marine, Fishery, Information and Communication Technology using the Balance Scorecard Perspective approach which analyzes four perspectives; financial, customer (in this case educators and education staff), internal business processes, and learning and growth. The research method was carried out qualitatively. The sample in this research is the financial report of the Center for Vocational Education Quality Assurance Development in the Maritime, Fishery, Information and Communication Technology sector (BPPMPV KPTK).

Abstract

Research on the Az Zahra Women's Farmer Group in the Buaran South Tangerang area which was carried out from March 2021 to August 2021 with the title The Role of Women's Farmer Groups as Alternative Solutions to Food Insecurity during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Buaran, Serpong, South Tangerang. The data taken are primary and secondary data, primary data is taken from observations and interviews with officials, supervisors and members of the women's farmer group. The results of environmental observations and interviews conducted can be seen that the group has succeeded in achieving group managerial effectiveness. The results of the observations are seen from the data at the time of the initial formation (in 2018) and the data at the time the research was conducted (in 2021). The initial data for the formation of the Women Farmers Group are: The area of cultivated land is 300m2, with 29 members, 2 types of plants that can be harvested, the value of the harvest is Rp. 1,740,000. a year. While the results of operations in 2021, the number of plants will be 25 types of plants, the area of land being cultivated will be 10,000 m2 and the welfare level of members will be Rp. 12,500,000 a year. In terms of organizational management, this group has proven that it has carried out managerial effectiveness in order to achieve the group's goals as indicated by the increasing area of land planted, growing crop yields and increasing welfare of members although they do not have the land. This group that has performed its management functions well, such as planning, organizing, directing and controlling. The role of the Women Farmers group in preventing food insecurity is very effective, because the harvest obtained can prevent food insecurity in the family as well as the surrounding community by providing food in the form of vegetables and health plants, as well as by making donations to local residents in need.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of tax official in mitigating the positive relation between firm’s informal payment on tax obstacle. As the general discourses in tax avoidance, regulation, and compliance, the role of tax official is still had limited attention. In this regard, the examination based on the data of 229 firms from the World Bank Enterprise Survey 2019, specifically in two countries (i.e., Estonia and Latvia) which are listed as the top two countries with the highest International Tax Competitiveness Index. Accordingly, this study found that in the country well-established tax management, firm’s informal payment is positively affecting the level of its tax obstacle, while professionality and transparency of tax official is reporting a negative effect. Interactionally, tax official is weakening the positive effect of informal payment on tax obstacle. In general, this denote and provide evidence for the important role of professional and transparent tax official in the tax management. Several discussions further been elaborated in both theoretical and practical to enrich the topic of tax management.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the partial influence of financial literacy on the prevention of fraudulent investments, the partial influence of financial inclusion on the prevention of fraudulent investments and to simultaneously analyze the influence of financial literacy and financial inclusion on the prevention of fraudulent investments. This research uses quantitative methods with questionnaires as data collection. The sample used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 100 people. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression. The results of this research show that partially financial literacy and financial inclusion have a positive effect on preventing fraudulent investments. Meanwhile, financial literacy and financial inclusion simultaneously influence the prevention of fraudulent investments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of smoking habits on adolescents' cognitive abilities. The data used in this research is cross-section data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey batch 5 2014. The high rate of cigarette consumption for the age range 15 years and over in Indonesia has become a very serious concern. The smoking habit has many negative impacts on human brain development which in the long term will affect the quality of human resources in Indonesia. by exploring IFLS 2014 data, we found 6,908 teenage respondents who smoke. This figure is quite large, reaching 8% of all respondents. This research uses logistic regression analysis to see the impact of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The research results show that together smoking habits, education, history of hypertension, sleep quality and age have a significant effect on a person's cognitive abilities. Partially, smoking habits, history of hypertension, and age have a significant negative effect on a person's cognitive abilities. Meanwhile, education and sleep quality have a significant positive effect on a person's cognitive abilities. Gender partially has no effect on cognitive abilities.

Abstract

The Utilization of information technology systems is meant to be supported or encouraged organizations to achieve its organizational goals. This utilization is used not only in business sector, but also in the public sector. In achieving productivity and service efficiency, an integrated system is needed, so that the provision of services, the collection and processing of data can be done in a more efficient, transparent, orderly, fast, easy, integrated and secure manner. In making Policies in order to increase work efficiency and effectiveness in organizations needs to implement a Management Information System as a basis for decision making, management and policies, especially in terms of employee management. The Electronic Personnel Management System at the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing manages personnel which covers all civil servant management activities, namely a personnel data management application called eHRM (Electronic Human Resource Management The aim of this research is to determine the role of employees in updating data and the benefits felt by users (employees) when using the e-HRM application at the PUPR Ministry. Qualitative method is used in this research. The results of the research shows that e-HRM is an effort to move manual processes to electronic ones so that personnel processes are fast, precise and up-to-date as well as making the administrative process of civil servants easier, one of which is promotion so that employees are required to always update their personal data so that the promotion process runs smoothly without constraints as well as providing a number of key benefits for organizations, such as increasing efficiency and reducing costs associated with Human Resource Management, facilitating the shift of HR's role to a more strategic level and improving client services, from manual administrative handling of entities to online-based systems.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of answering phenomena, both the factual conditions of the business environment and the results of previous research so that it is beneficial for organizations to adopt the best policies for their organization. Apart from that, conceptually, this research is expected to contribute to the development of knowledge related to restructuring and employee organizational citizenship behavior related to communication. Moreover, the mediating effect of communication on the organization restructuring and organization citizenship behavior are examined through a quantitative technique. The data comes from companies that operate in the manufacturing sector and have undergone restructuring. Data from a sample of 72 emplyees were used to examine the hypothesized models. Results show that communication fully mediated the relationship between organizational restructuring and organizational citizenship behavior.
