Abstract

The emergence of pesantrens that paid more attention to the Arabic language brings new hope in its development in Indonesia. Various Arabic programs are planned to improve the students’ abilities in Arabic language. However, many Arabic programs do not work well because of the lack of ability to implement the program. The implementation has an important function in realizing the program that has been prepared. This implementation at least included leadership, communication, and supervision. The purpose of this research was to find an effective model of Arabic program implementation in modern boarding school. The method used was qualitative descriptive. The results showed that leadership, communication, and supervision determine whether or not the program was running.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the process and learning steps in Pesantren Az Zawiyah in Aceh. The method of this study was descriptive qualitative. This study found that the process of teaching reading was conducted in the following steps: the contents used the Arabic heritage books, and the activities reading used extended and analytical texts. Meanwhile, the implementation of the process of education were salutation, review, the preparation of blackboard and books, the books read by the teachers and then repeated by students, translation, discussion, and encourage the students and conclusion. The methods used by the teacher were the word method, the partial method, the analytical method, the grammar method and the translation. The tests used by the teacher in reading skills were: sound tests.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the weakness of the students of Islamic Junior High School Darul Ma'arif Jakarta in learning qira’ah, the lack of students who like qira’ah lessons, and the weak ability of the students to understand Arabic language. This research also tried to know how to use text in Arabic in learning qira’ah. This research was a quantitative research using the method of measurement between variables, namely the use of illustrations and interest in learning by using purposive sampling. Various research data were collected through interviews, direct observation, questionnaire division, and test implementation. This study showed that there was no influence of the use of illustration in Arabic text toward the students’ interest in learning qira’ah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explore: 1) Forms of hamzah writing errors, phonological errors, morphology, syntax and semantics in the students’ thesis that are further evaluated and improved. 2) Factors causing language errors in students’ thesis. 3) Solution to solve the problem of language error in writing thesis. This study used a qualitative content analysis approach to language errors on 3 thesis samples of academic year 2015/2016. The results showed that there was a mistake in writing the hamzah at the beginning of the word on the hamzah qath'i and hamzah washl, as well as in the middle of the word is the misplacement of alif or waw or nibrah letters under the hamzah. The solution offered was the need for Arabic learning innovation by faculty, students refer back to mu'jam in choosing the right words, improving writing skills with continuous practice, and seriousness in writing thesis.

Abstract

This study identified how the supervision and evaluation of the Arabic program in the girl pesantren Hafsah Binti Umar Malang Batu. Data were collected through observation and interview. The subject of his research was two Arabic teachers at the pesantren. To get the data, the researcher conducted observation and interview directly to the Arabic teacher in the Pesantren where the researcher participated in observing the activit. Finally, this study concluded that the supervision of the Arabic language program at the girl pesantren Hafsah Binti Umar has not been fully done by the teachers since some of the programs that have been designed have not been written in the structure of the Pesantren Hafsah Binti Umar program. For the evaluation of the Arabic program, the chairman of the pesantren evaluated by asking each program that has been implemented to each teacher in their respective fields at the end of each semester.

Abstract

In the age of technological advancement, gadget has an important role in the various activities of a person, no exception in learning. With a variety of applications offered by platform providers, both android and iOS. Now one can learn something independently. Busuu is an application developed to help a person in learning foreign languages independently, such as learning Arabic independently. Learning paths used in this application have been using international standards, ranging from beginner level (A1), basic level (A2), intermediate level (B1), and advanced (B2). This application provides learning materials in the form of audio visual that can improve the four skills of Arabic language. Optimizing the usage of Busuu applications is very likely to prepare someone to be able to communicate in Arabic.

Abstract

This study discusses about: 1) organizing management in Arabic course Al-Azhar Pare, 2) problems in organizing management in Arabic course institute Al-Azhar Pare. This was a descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected by interviews and documentation. Then the data were analyzed in three steps, 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation, 3) drawing conclusions / verification. The results of this research showed that the organizing management Arabic language course Al-Azhar Pare was still weak because of some obstacles such as the absence of clear organizational structure. Managers only gave the verbal division of duties to each member and did not create a chart of organizational structure for members so as to make the position between subordinates and bosses are invisible. Participants who had been granted certain rights were not given a clear number of members to assist in carrying out their duties. Thus, the organizing system is less organized.
