Abstract

This study aims to determine students' perception of the use of Schoology as an online assessment in the English classroom and the benefits of using Schoology. This study uses a mixed methods approach that combines qualitative and quantitative data. Collecting data using questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires were used to determine student perceptions using a five-point Likert Scale. Formal interviews were randomly assigned to 10 students. Questionnaire data were processed with SPSS version 21 and then triangulated and analyzed. Meanwhile, to determine the criteria for Respondent Achievement Level using the formula used by the Arikunto concept. The results of this study indicate that students have positive perceptions about assessment in English class through Schoology. Students are interested in using online assessments because online assessments are better than paper assessments. Students are attracted to the Schoology application because of its flexibility and ease of use. However, some students also stated that the use of online assessments in Schoology also presented a negative perception. Students can face problems with internet access, large data, and difficulty in managing time to do tests.

Abstract

The ant colony algorithm (ACO) is an algorithm initially introduced by Moyson and Manderick and then developed by Marco Dorigo. This algorithm has been applied in various optimization problems, like in the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP). The aim of this study was to investigate the performance of the ACO in solving CVRP. ACO will be measured based on 3 factors, memory usage, execution time and accuracy level. Moreover, identification of the effect of changing parameter on ACO performance was also carried out. The result shows that ACO has good performance in solving CVRP in all of 3 factors. However, the performance of ACO was influenced by several parameters. The findings in the study indicate that there are several ACO parameters that have a significant effect on ACO performance, there are the number of ants, ,  and . For the others, Q dan , both of them do not have significant effect on the performance of ACO in terms of time execution and memory usage. For parameter , it has significant effect on the result produced by ACO.

Abstract

Malaria is a type of disease caused by protozoan cells called Plasmodium, in its development Plasmodium cells will enter and destroy red blood cells. Detection of malaria is difficult because it takes a long time. Malaria parasite can be identified using a microscope to see whether or not Plasmodium is present in red blood cells. However, this method is very dependent on the quality of the microscope. A computer vision model was developed using a CNN (convolutional neural network). The model was developed by comparing the architectures of the ResNet-101, AlexNet, and VGG-19 models by providing two learning rate scenarios, namely the minimum learning rate and the maximum learning rate with slices. The training process for each model uses 10 epochs. Fast.ai tools / libraries are used to form existing models. The results of a study entitled Plasmodium Image Classification To Detect Malaria Disease by using the CNN Algorithm found that the architecture of the ResNet-101 model has much better accuracy than the AlexNet and VGG-19 models, both by using a minimum learning rate and a maximum learning rate, the process of training in the ResNet-101 architecture model using the maximum learning rate with slice has the best accuracy of 0.97586% and precision of 0.98249% compared to the AlexNet and VGG-19 architectures.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the combination of four-digit numbers that relate to the Plural Prayer Constant of 12 RMA in Hahslm 472319. This research was conducted by literature studies from electronic media, books, journals, and other data sources. The methodology used constructive quantitative that refers to Quran with the equation of 47319 in Hahslm. The research results are combination numbers of four-digit by subtracting the decreasing left phrase to the increasing right phrase that will reach the number 6174 at the maximum of the seventh step. Mathematically, this sequence number has the same as the Plural Prayer Constants of 12 RMA and has a similarity to the 472319 formula. This 12 RMA constant is stored in the plural prayers 1 (Fajr) and 2 (Dhuhur Asr and Maghrib Isa). The number 19 is also encrypted in Covid which influences the economic crisis.

Abstract

Water is one of the most important elements in household life. Most households use PDAM services to meet their daily water needs. The use of water used for households is monitored by officers manually. This method causes various problems, namely errors in the recording by officers, errors in the process of input results, and ineffectiveness. One solution to overcome these problems is to design a monitoring system for PDAM water usage in real time. The design is made using NodeMCU as a microcontroller, Water Flow Sensor, RTC DS3231, 20X4 LCD, MIT App Inventor, and Firebase which will be displayed via LCD and Android application. The results showed that the designed tool can display data in the form of time, the volume of water, and cost with sensor accuracy of 98, 40%. In addition to these data, this study also produces QoS values, namely 0% packet loss, and 0,09 s delay.

Abstract

The use of comics media as a support for learning activities with the background of learning activities that are less attractive to students so that students get bored quickly in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to develop comics as a learning medium, to determine the feasibility, to test the effectiveness of comics as teaching materials and to determine students' interest in using comics media. The subjects in this study were several teachers and students at SD Purworejo and the method of data collection was by the teachers and students filling out the questionnaire that had been given by the researcher. The results of the study indicate that the need for comics media is used as a learning medium.

Abstract

Culture is people's reflection, hard work, and wisdom to navigate their world, namely a culture that allows people to see their environment in a meaningful way. Indonesia has diverse cultures, one of which is traditional Chinese culture. Over time, the Chinese culture in Indonesia has gradually faded to this day. This study aims to develop a 2D animated video to introduce Chinese tradition and culture as the identity of Chinese people in Indonesia, especially Gen Z children. Using a research and development approach and testing the EPIC model's effectiveness. The research conducted included interviews with several Mandarin teachers and students studying in China. The development phase uses the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) model and continues with quantitative research using the EPIC model. These search results are 2D animated videos posted on YouTube that last 3 minutes and 35 seconds. The EPIC model's quantitative demonstrate how 2D animated videos effectively introduce culture to younger members of Generation Z. Empathy, persuasion, influence, and communication values all show this. The mean of the EPIC ratio is 4.16. The persuasion and communication dimension got the highest score compared to other dimensions at 4.26.

Abstract

The Trans Semarang application is built by “UPTD”, the Public Service Agency of Trans Semarang to provide information about bus routes, ticket price, the nearest bus, and tourism. Referring to Playstore, there are a lot of complaints from users especially in difficulting usage of the application. This becomes a reason to evaluate the usability to find problems on user interface which is conducted through heuristic evaluation method by using the ten principles usability indicator. The result of this research is there are several problems, with the average of low problem by the low priority recovery and 2 aspects of problems with high priority recovery recommendation namely Consistency and Standard aspects with savering rating about 3,4. In addition, the results of this study are expected to be used as a reference and recommendation for developing the Trans Semarang application to make it easier and more comfortable for users.

Abstract

This experimental research attempts to examine PLTMH on water reservoirs with 1/2" pipes with height variations of 1 meter, 2 meters and 3 meters and the use of several generators installed in series. The test aims to determine the height and number of generators that produce more optimal power.In conducting data analysis, the researchers also employed the descriptive method from Miles and Huberman. The results of the first experimental test were to determine the value of flowrate of 4,166 m3/s and the water pressure about 0.01 MPa at a height of 1 meter, 0.02 MPa at an altitude of 2 meters and 0.03 MPa at a height of 3 meters. The results of the flowrate and water pressure tests were used as a benchmark in testing the PLTMH with 5 types of DC generator test circuits with a load, namely the 12V 3W LED lamp. The result shows, the power is 2.675W and the voltage is 53.50V with a current of 0.050A. It is affected by the water level, the water pressure will increase, consequently, the hydrostatically water pressure hits the turbine blades which affects the rotation of the generator which produces high power.

Abstract

On Karawang utara has problems with groundwater and coconut waste. Groundwater in the area is crusty and yellowish in color. Coconut waste comes from sellers who only take coconut meat and water, leaving coconut husks and shells. To overcome these problems, conducted groundwater quality test and made water filters from coconut waste. The parameters tested were pH, TDS, manganese, and iron. According to Minister of Health Regulation Number 32 of 2017 and Regulation of Minister of Health Number 492 of 2010, groundwater quality testing showed that groundwater in all areas of Karawang utara can be used for sanitation purposes, but only Pedes and Tirta Jaya regions can be used as raw material for drinking water The design of the water filter from coconut waste is designed to solve this problem.. The results of groundwater testing after the filtration process have values below the threshold of PerMenKes Number 492 of 2010 which indicates that groundwater after the filtration process can be used as raw material for drinking water. The effectiveness of water filters from coconut waste reduces TDS 32.05%, manganese 82.01%, and iron 83.33%. The design of a water filter that has been made is proven to be able to solve groundwater problems and coconut waste problems in Karawang utara.
