Abstract

The research aims to (1) describe the difference of Pontianak Malayan of west Borneo with Indonesians’ standard according to phonologic and (2) describing the difference of Pontianak Malayan of west Borneo’s vocabulary with Indonesians’ standard. This research used a qualitative method that focuses on showing the meaning, describing, purification, placement of data on the context. The data source was 200 of Pontianak Malayan of west Borneo’s vocabulary based on Swadesh lists that translate in Indonesian. The instrument of this research was a recorder that used to interview some native inhabitants of Pontianak of west Borneo which have Pontianak Malayan of west Borneo accent. Then the researcher saw the difference of Pontianak Malayan of west Borneo with Indonesian made in written type. The researcher used “Simak method”, recording, interview, and taking note. The researcher used Padan method in this research. The method used in the research is shown by informal. The result of the research are (1) of Pontianak Malayan of west Borneo with Indonesians’ standard according to phonologic including (a) regular difference they are [a]-[∂], [i]-[ε], [u]-[O], [r]-[k], [Ø]-[k], (b) irregular difference they are [l]-[k], [k]-[g], [i]-[a], (2) difference of Pontianak Malayan of west Borneo’s vocabulary with Indonesians’ standard, there are 21 vocabularies.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: 1) the implementation of the curriculum in 2013 in the learning process; 2) the constraints experienced by the teachers during the learning process Indonesian subjects in SMP Negeri 1 Bantul. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach in the form of case studies with research taking place in SMP Negeri 1 Bantul, Bantul, Yogyakarta Province. Sources of data in this research are the process of teaching belajajar, informants, and documents. Data collected by observation, interviews and document analysis. Test the validity of the data is done by triangulation method, triangulation of sources and informants review. Data analysis techniques with interactive analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. Based on the findings in the field can be concluded that: 1) Preparatory activities, new learning objectives contains elements of Behavior (B) and Condition (C); Core activities, teachers have been working to create learning (student center) in terms of materials, approaches, methods, and media; closing activity, students rarely provided feedback; 2) activity of students in participating in learning activities has not been optimal; There are teachers who lack optimize, facilities and infrastructure in learning activities; reference is still limited (the learning material focuses on textbooks revised edition 2016).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe (1) character and characterization, (2) setting, (3) planting values in the family, and (4) figures of family fighters in the novel Ibuk.  The research was a qualitative research. The research data was qualitative data in the form of units of a paragraph or events in the novel Ibuk by Iwan Setiawan. The primary data source was the novel Ibuk by Iwan Setiawan published by PT. Gramedia Pustaka Utama Jakarta in 2012. The research instrument was a researcher herself that was equipped with a set of theories about the characters and characterizations, setting, cultivation of values, theory of literature and family psychology. Data collection methods were reading, recording, and literature. Data analysis methods were using qualitative descriptive. The results of the research are as follows. (1) The main character in the novel Ibuk is Ngatinah (Ibuk), while the subordinate figures are Mr, Bayek, Isa, Nani, and Rini. Ngatinah (Ibuk) is referred as the main character because she is the character most involved with the theme of the story, most interact with other characters and most take storytelling. Ngatinah character is depicted as a firm leader, responsible, humble, and patient. (2) In the novel Ibuk, setting the time, place, and the social culture is in it. Setting time shows a state that occurs by day, month, and year of occurrence. The setting of place occurs in the market, Batu Malang, Bogor, Surabaya, Karawang, and New York. The social setting takes place in the setting of social class or lower middle-level social class. (3) Investment value in the novel Ibuk family consists of (a) values are socialized parents in children include diligent worship, be honest, be respectful, harmonious with relatives and the community, and a way of learning achievement, and (b) how to disseminate the values in children, among others, to give advice and provide examples (exemplary). (4) The figure of a fighter in the novel Ibuk family is a family that struggles to improve the standard of living is better to work hard and cooperate with one another.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe (1) the specific term in Yogyakarta classic dance and (2) the difference meaning between a specific term in Yogyakarta classic dance and general term. This research is a qualitative research. The data of the research are words sentences which contain specific terms in Yogyakarta classic dance. The data sources are the use of language in Ndalem Pujokusuman classic dance studio Yogyakarta and there is some written resource from books such as Bedhaya Suryasumirat by Suharji (2004), internet, Suprihono book (1994/1995), Istilah Tari dan Karawitan Jawa Dictionary written by Sudarsono, B. Suharto, Y. Sumandyo Hadi, et el (1978), and Bahasa Jawa Dictionary (Bausastra Jawa) by the team of Balai  Bahasa Yogyakarta 2011. The collecting data method and technic in this research is using simak method with the simak libat cakap method, noting method, record method, cakap method with cakap semuka technic and rekam and catat technic. Data analysis method and technic in this research is a padan method with referential technic and translational technic. The serving data analysis result in this research is informal method. The research result show what: (1) the term use in Yogyakarta classic dance contain of base term and relegated term that cover the term which is formed by the affixation processes, the term that is form by the reduplication processes, and the term which is formed by the processes of compand and (2) there ar differences of meaning in the term that is used in Yogyakarta classic dance with the meaning of general term that is found in Basa Jawa Dictionary (Bausastra Jawa).

Abstract

The Register of Argo Merapi Community (AMC) 14.938 MHz in the village of Argomulyo Cangkringan Sleman, Yogyakarta. The Thesis of Indonesian Education and Literature Study Program. Faculty of Teachers Training and Education Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University Yogyakarta. 2015. This study aims to describe Register Argo Merapi Community (AMC) 14.938 MHz in the village of Argomulyo Cangkringan Sleman Yogyakarta which includes (1) to describe linguistic variation AMC (2) describe the factors that cause the AMC language variation and (3) describe the meaning and typical terms used in the AMC. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data were acquired intangible oral sentences spoken AMC. Source of this study was obtained from the use of the language spoken by the AMC. Data obtained using methods refer and methods capable. Techniques to consider methods such as tapping technique, the technique involved skilled free see, the technique involved consider ably, recording techniques and note techniques. Techniques in the form of a conversation methods and techniques of fishing techniques capable semuka. Presentation of the results of this study using formal and informal methods of presentation. Results of this study have concluded that (1) Variation marker linguistic registers in the community AMC (a) phonological variation, (b) morphological variation (c) variations in syntax. The phonological variation found in the AMC involves the removal of the nasal phonemes and their place names beginning with / b / and / d /. Morphological variation of language usage AMC there is a tendency that affixes calendar prefix {happened}. Syntactic variation AMC includes the use incomplete sentences; (2) factors that cause variation in the language of the AMC is (a) the time and place and situation, (b) participants, (c) objectives, (d) the form and content of speech, (e) manner or tone, (f ) different languages, (g) norms or rules interact, and (h) the type or form of delivery; (3) the meaning of the typical terms used in the AMC include: (a) the term natural conditions, (b) the terms of objects, (c) the terms of activities, and (d) the term designation.

Abstract

The aims  of this  study  was  to  describe  (1)  the  structure  of  novel  that  include characters and characterization, background, and plot, (2) social aspects, (3) social change the main character in the novel Partikel of Dewi Lestari. Types of research is qualitative research. This study data in the form of units of paragraphs or discourse in the novel Partikel. Data source in this research novel Partikel of Dewi Lestari. This research use instrument equipped concept or theory characters and characterization, background, plot, social aspects, and social change. Method of collecting this research use formal methods, to read the whole novel. Data collection technique this research in a way to read the whole novel, observe, and notes data obtained from data card. Data analysis methods is qualitative methods. Data analysis technique use descriptive qualitative. The results of this study show novel Partikel related element. The results which is obtained. (1) The structure of novel that (a) include characters and characterization of novel Partikel is Zarah main character and additional figures is Firas, Aisyah, Koso, Paul, Storm and Simon Hardiman. Figure Zarah be told as a desperate man (b) background in novel Partikel is Batu Luhur, Kebun Raya Bogor, Bukit Jambul, and background times is morning, evening, night, social background is social on, social medium, and lower social, (3) and plot in novel Partikel groove mix (2) social aspects in novel Partikel aspect of love that include love of family, love of best friend, love of girl or boyfriend, cultural aspect is Sundanese culture and western culture (3) social change the main character in the novel Partikel of Dewi Lestari changes desired when Zarah decided to work on a Tanjung Puting, change is not desired when loss of harmony, fast change when Zarah receive the Nikon camera’s, slow changes when decide school, small change when Zarah decide formal school, and big change when Zarah join in The A-Team.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to describe the comparing conjunction, the nature of the appearance of the conjunction in comparing clause, the position and the structure of the comparing clause, and the disengagement of syntax function in comparing clause in Indonesian compound-complex sentence. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data of this research are the compound-complex sentences containing comparing clause. The sources of the data are written ones including those from the daily newspaper, magazines, literature works, and books. The presentation data method is the “simak” method with “simak bebas libas cakap” and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed using “agih” methode with “bagi unsur langsung” technique, followed by “ganti”, “balik”, “baca markah”, and “lesap” techniques. The presentation methods of the data analysis were done using the informal and informal method. The results of this research are (1) The conjunction in comparing clause in Indonesian compound complex sentence including (a) seperti, (b) bagai(-kan), (c) ibarat, (d) seakan(- akan), (e) seolah(-olah), (f) serasa(-rasa), (g) sebagaimana, (h) laksana, (i) daripada, (j) alih-alih, (k) sebagai, dan (l) bak. (2) The nature of the appearance of the conjunction in Indonesian compound complex sentence is obligatory. (3) The position of comparing clause in a compound complex sentence has the concession of placement. (4). The comparing clause in Indonesian compound complex sentence has the annotation with the structure of Conj Pb+(S)+P+(O)+(Comp)+(Adv).  This  structure  includes  (a)  Conj  Pb+S+P,  (b) Conj Pb+(S)+P, (c) Conj Pb+S+P+O, (d) Conj Pb+(S)+P+O, (e) Conj Pb+S+P+Com, (f) Conj Pb+(S)+P+Comp, (g) Conj Pb+S+P+Adv, (h) Conj Pb+(S)+P+Adv, (i) Conj Pb+S+P+O+Adv, dan (j) Konj Pb+S+P+Comp+Adv. (5) The disengagement of syntax function in comparing clause is in the form of the disengagement of the subject. This can be done when the core clause and comparing clause are conferential.

Abstract

This research has purposed to describe (1) the increase in the activity of reading students with Cloze test technique and, (2) improvement of reading skills of students with Cloze test technique in class VIII G SMP 2 Gantiwarno Klaten. The subject were students of class totaling 33 students and the object of this study is the process of learning reading skills to find the main idea with Cloze test technique. Data collection methods used in the study was the observation, test, interview, and documentation. The validity of the data with content validity and reliability inter-rater. The result showed that, (1) an increase in students reading activity increases, namely in prasiklus amounted to 54,54%, the first cycle of 63,63and 84,84% second cycle becomes. (2) improvement of students reading ability increases, namely in prasiklus amounted to 68,68%, the first cycle of 72,22%, and the second cycle into 76,76%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is as follows. (1) Describe the distribution and amount leksia in the novel Bait-Bait Multazam Abidah El Khalieqy work. (2) Describe the codes in the novel Bait-Bait Multazam Abidah El Khalieqy work. (3) Describe the meaning of the codes in the novel Bait-Bait MultazamAbidah El Khalieqy work. (4) Describing the moral values Bait Bait Multazam Abidah El Khalieqy work. This research is a qualitative research. This study describes the meaning of the code in the novel-Bait Bait Multazam based semiotic Roland Barthes. This research data in the form of units of the events that are relevant to the issues examined. The data source of this research is novel Bait-Bait Multazam. This study researcher used the instrument itself is already equipped semiotic Roland Barthes. Methods of data collection research using formal methods, by reading the entire novel. This research data collection techniques is a technique to read and record. Data analysis method used is a qualitative method. Data analysis techniques using a qualitative descriptive technique which is based on Roland Barthes semiotic approach. Roland Barthes semiotic research results in Bait-Bait Multazam Abidah El Khalieqy works is as follows. (1) Beheading novel Bait-Bait Multazam obtained 55 leksia each leksia bring the codes. (2) Each leksia bring up the code that has to mean, the code is a code action or proairetic (AKS), code hermeneutic (HER), cultural code or referential (REF), code semik (SEM), and the symbolic code (SIM) , (3) The meaning of the code- novel Bait Bait Multazam based language code, the code of literary and cultural code. Code-language novel Bait Bait Multazam concerning the use of Indonesian in the form of Arabic. The Cultural code in the novel Bait-Bait Multazam are their rules in an Arab country. Code literary novel-Bait Bait Multazam is the imagination of author give an appreciation of a convert. (4) Novel-Bait Bait Multazam raises moral values such exemplary faith and devotion, confidence, equality, honesty, and sincerity.

Abstract

The purposes of the research are to describe (1) increased the activity of students in writing the discourse description using cooperative learning model type TAI  and (2) increase students’ skills in writing discourse descriptions using cooperative learning model type TAI XI Lukis 1 SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul. Kind of this research is classroom action research which is held in two cycles. The research subject is all XI Lukis1 SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul students that contain 26 students.  The object of this study is subject to the basic competence  Indonesian write patterned narrative discourse description, descriptive, expository, and argumentative. The instrument that will be used is observation sheet, students, and teacher interview, test, and documentation The achievement data are analyzed in a qualitative way based on the reflection of every action cycle. The results of this study indicate that the TAI type of cooperative learning model can improve student learning activities in class XI Lukis 1 SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul on the process of learning to write discourse description. This is evident from the increased activity of students in each cycle. Students’ creativity in writing discourse description on pre-cycle 46,6%, cycle I 57,7%, and cycles II 69,23%. Students attention in paying attention to the teacher in pre-cycle 57,7%, the cycle I 69,23%, cycle II 76,9%. The attitude of the students in pre-cycle 65,38%,cycle I 73,1%, cycle II 84,6%. The students being active in a group discussion in pre-cycle 30,7%, the cycle I 38,5%, and cycle II 73,1%. Well cooperative in a group discussion of pre-cycle 53,8%, the cycle I 61,5%, and cycle II 92,3%. TAI type of cooperative learning model can improve the ability to write a description discourse of class XI Lukis 1 SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul. It is able to be seen from the aspect of idea contents in pre-cycle 26,92%, the cycle I 57,69%, and cycle II 92,30%. The idea organization accuracy in pre-cycle 38,46%, cycle I 69,23%, and cycle II 84,61%. The language order accuracy in pre-cycle 34,61%, cycle I 61,53%, and cycle II 84,61%. The use of vocabulary in pre-cycle 30,76%, the cycle I 65,38%, and cycle II 84,61%. The use of texts spelling in pre-cycle 34,61%, cycle I 69,23% and cycle II 92,30%.
