Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of brand identity and halal awareness on purchasing decisions, with promotion as an intervening variable. The population includes people who consume imported instant noodles. Using convenience sampling and the Lameshow formula, 96 respondents were surveyed. The hypothesis tests show that brand identity positively affects purchasing decisions, while halal awareness does not. Additionally, promotion does not impact purchasing decisions, but brand identity positively influences promotion. Indirectly, brand identity and halal awareness do not affect purchasing decisions through promotion. The adjusted R square value for purchasing decisions is 0.755, indicating that 75.500 per cent of the variation in purchasing decisions is explained by the independent variables, with 24.500 per cent influenced by other factors not studied.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact around the world, including Indonesia, and has severely affected the health, economy, agriculture, and transportation sectors. Economic growth has declined since the second quarter of 2020, with a decline in corporate income and taxes received by the state. The decline in corporate income leads to a reduction in profits and corporate income taxes payable. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect corporate income tax in manufacturing companies before and after the pandemic. These factors include Profitability, Net Sales, Liquidity, and Leverage, as well as Operating Expenses as moderation variables. The study population includes all companies listed on the IDX, with a sample of manufacturing companies for the period 2019-2022. The data collection technique uses secondary data in the form of available financial statements. The analysis methods used are multiple linear regression and moderate regression analysis.

Abstract

The study was conducted to explore the mediating role of job satisfaction on the effect of work flexibility and OCBIP on employee performance at PT Turen Indah Group. This research uses a quantitative approach method. The research data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection instruments are in the form of interviews and questionnaires. Samples were taken from a population of 153 employees. This research data analysis uses Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The data analysis technique in this study uses Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of Smart-PLS 4.1 software. The research findings show that work flexibility and OCBIP have a positive and significant effect on performance. In the mediating role, the results showed that job satisfaction was able to moderate the effect of OCBIP on performance. However, job satisfaction is not able to mediate the effect of work flexibility on performance. This research contributes to the human resource management literature covering work flexibility, OCBIP, employee performance, and mediating job satisfaction at PT Turen Indah Group.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of health expenditure, access to health services, and poverty on life expectancy in Bengkulu Province from 2014-2023. Using the multiple linear regression method, the results show that health expenditure does not significantly influence life expectancy, which is caused by the budget allocation that is still low and less than optimal. In contrast, access to health services substantially increases life expectancy, whereas people with better access to health services have a higher life expectancy. Poverty was also found to have no significant effect, which may be due to government policies that help people experiencing poverty obtain health services. This study concludes that optimising access to health services is more important than increasing health spending to increase life expectancy.
