Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors influencing students' decisions in choosing Mikroskil University. This type of research is associative with a quantitative approach. The variables used in this study to measure students' decisions are service quality, promotion, and facilities of the university. The number of samples used in this research is 310 respondents, namely students from all study programs at Mikroskil University using the probability sampling method with a proportional stratified random sampling approach. From the adjusted R-square value, a value of 0.785 is obtained, which when multiplied by 100 yields 78.500 per cent. This indicates that the contribution of each independent variable to influence the dependent variable is 78.500 per cent, meaning that the variables of service quality, promotion, and university facilities contribute 78.500 per cent to students' decision variables in choosing Mikroskil University, while the remaining 21.500 per cent is influenced by other variables beyond the scope of this research.

The financial sector can influence the process of economic development, one of which is through banking by carrying out its intermediary function. One of the banks that have the function of channelling credit and collecting public funds is the Rural Bank. By using the VECM (Vector Error Correction Model) approach model, this study was conducted to determine the long-term and short-term effects of external factors such as Inflation and BI rate and also on internal factors such as the amount of deposits and non-performing loan rates on the amount of credit in the period 2008 - 2022. The results showed both in the long and short term that the internal factors of deposits and non-performing loans had a significant and negative effect on the amount of credit disbursed. External factors such as Inflation and BI rates do not affect the loan disbursed.

Abstract

This research aims to test the causal effects of the inflation rate empirically, the Rupiah exchange rate against the United States Dollar, and world crude oil prices on the LQ45 stock price index. In its testing, this research uses the Error Correction Model (ECM) and uses data every month from 2000 to 2022. The research results show that the inflation rate, exchange rate and world gold prices significantly affect the LQ45 stock price index. Furthermore, the inflation rate and exchange rate have a negative influence on the LQ45 index. Not optimal company growth due to high inflation and exchange rates will affect public market share demand, thereby reducing share prices. Then, world crude oil prices positively influenced the LQ45 index. These results support previous research findings that changes in world crude oil prices positively affect stock market prices in developing countries.
