Abstract

This study was conducted against of an alarming social phenomenon intolerant of differences, includes: the actions and words that, information on social media and various counter-productive behaviors. Almost in all aspects of life, the attitude of intolerance from one another appears, on the highway - the road user grabs the bow, in the place of the crowd in social action, up to the meeting room is shown to be unprepared to be different from one others. In short, it is not tolerant of pluralism. This concern, triggered the need to be redefined about the implementation of the teachings of goodness (characters building), especially for students. Various efforts have been made to define good behavior through education, including a national seminar on moral literacy in human development through education and movement on literacy formation.Research on elementary school teachers, school principals, and school supervisors in four sub-districts in Badung regency, the method for obtaining data is through questionnaires, focus group discussions, and observations to elementary schools. The tendency to decrease the intensity of School Literacy Movement (SLM) implementation Hinduism for the habituation, development, and learning stages, both information from the Teacher (T), School Principle (SP) and School Supervisor (SS). Implementing SLM Hinduism include: reading 15 minutes at the beginning of learning, discussing books and reading together, and reading the lesson enrichment part. Programs that still need to be improved include: reading Hinduism books are relatively lacking due to difficulties in obtaining books on Hinduism and making info-graphic from reading as an effort to facilitate the building of the meaning of Hinduism reading. As a conclusion, SLM Hinduism by Elementary Schools in Badung Regency, well implemented tends to be very good, reaching 3.6 for scale 4. The decrease occurred from the habituation stage (3.7), development (3.6), to the learning stage (3.5). This shows that SLM Hinduism implementation has not been optimally, especially at the learning stage. Implementation of habituation stage, “the movement of reading 15 minutes of non-lesson books before the lesson”. The implementation of the learning stage that has not been achieved is about “choosing enrichment books and Hinduism material and using Hinduism facilities as well as enrichment books to creatively write opinions based on reading material synthesized with other relevant disciplines as one facet literate in the Hinduism”.

Abstract

Religious rights of the Indonesian people have been regulated in the 1945 Constitution, Law No. 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights. The Fulfillment of the Religious Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PD) has been regulated in article 14 of Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning Person with Disability. Protection and fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities is regulated in the Bali Regulation No. 9  of 2015 (Perda 9/2015).This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with a socio-normative approach related to the implementation of Perda 9/2015, identifying the challenges and opportunities of PD in Bali in obtaining their religious and customary rights. Identification is important to encourage the social inclusion and harmonization in life. Informants were selected by using purposive sampling involving disability organizations: Pertuni, Kube Darma Bakti, RwaBineda, Gerkatin, Bali Deaf Community, YBSH Foundation and Puspadi Bali. Data collection methods were observation, interview and literature study. The existence of Persons with Disability (PD) is the largest minority in the world and part of the diversity of Indonesian social and cultural structures. PD often experiences social exclusion, including in carrying out religious practices and beliefs. This discourse is often over looked because the stereotype of PD is identical with the socio-economic problems handled by the social service. Some obstacles in fulfilling the religious and belief rights of persons with disabilities: places of worship are not accessible, scarcity of religious teaching materials and lack of service facilities for PD, especially in various religious celebrations.

Abstract

Light can be understood only if we know the darkness. Similarly, the truths can be fully comprehended only if you know the falsehoods also. Many western philosophers, like Mark Twain, said “Majority is always in the wrong.” To understand Vedic science one must therefore know: (a) The role played by the money power. The destiny of the entire earth is controlled by the money power. Without money none of us can survive. So, everything we do, do not do, and cannot do is motivated by our desire and security of money. (b) Yogic power, which is the highest level power, even above the money power, if you can acquire it. It controls the global destiny of the entire universe. (c) Modern science, which is the product of the global destiny, as well as the money power or the destiny of the earth.Once you understand destiny, you will of course not blame anybody, including global, earth, or individual destiny. We will show with examples that all results of modern science are based on  or derived from assumptions. Since assumptions cannot be valid for nature and engineering,  modern  science therefore cannot represent the nature, and be applicable to nature and engineering. For the same reason results of modern science can never be demonstrated. It must be realized that there is a heaven   and hell difference between modern science and modern engineering. Since engineering uses science, all of engineering is full of patches and kludges, and therefore engineering is very unreliable, and pollutes environment. On the other hand the Vedic science is entirely based on observations, just like what Galileo observed. Vedic science does not therefore has any assumptions, and it is a record of what you see as happening in nature. The Vedic science also has another very crucial difference – it observed two types of causes: (a) efficient cause and (b) material cause, behind every phenomenon. As a result Vedic science is valid for the entire universe and for all time, past, present, and future. We will illustrate all results of Vedic science with observations in nature. Such examples will be beyond comprehension of modern science.

Abstract

The myth of Ida Ratu Gede Mas Macaling Dalem Nusa still exists until now. The myth is so alive in the Balinese social environment that it is made to be identical with everything which is mysterious. Its existence is always connected with the practice of native healing and other growing and developing traditional spiritual practices. There are several palm-leaf manuscripts narrating the existence of Ida Ratu Gede Mas Macaling Dalem Nusa. The version narrated in one palm-leaf manuscript is different from that narrated in another. However, his existence is always connected with the existence of one small island named Nusa Penida, an island which is under his control. He is pictured as a “frightening” spirit and the myth and his existence have hypnotized the Balinese people; therefore, it is interesting to investigate the myth. The existence of the myth is described from the perspective of the mysticism of Bhairawa Tantra, which developed rapidly during its era in Bali.

Abstract

Tapini has a strategic position in the yajña ceremony This feminist figure in the perspective of Hindu theology has been able to become a ceremonial leader even though it is customary to wait until the Pedanda dies. However, sometimes also in a Pakraman Village such as Sanur, the Pedanda of the one who has not died gives Pedanda his wife the opportunity to become the leader of the ceremony when she is overwhelmed to accept the wishes of Hindus so that she becomes the leader of the yajña ceremony . This shows that the current relationship in the position of leader of the ceremony is a serious challenge because a Tapini must also be an expert in the position of Goddess, as a teacher, and as an tukang banten.

Abstract

Environment is a place for living things to live their life. The environment must be kept, maintained and developed continuously in the variety of plants existing in it. Therefore, the water source can be maintained and it can flow all the time. A simple but effective step to provide essential benefits for human life is by empowering customary people with a variety of local wisdom they have in keeping and maintaining the forest. All people who behave selfishly tend to exploit these resources, that lead to a decrease in the quality and quantity of natural resources. This selfish and free behaviors exploit natural resources, so the environment is damaged and the society as a whole suffers losses from generation to generation. Bali, supported by 1493 customary villages (pakraman), has a basic concept in managing the environment known as the Tri Hita Karana concept. All forms of activities that lead to conservation efforts and a more progressive arrangement in Balinese society will be able to be maintained well.

Abstract

The truth in daily life is certainly a wholeness in implementing the tattwa, ethics and acara of Hinduism as tri basic framework of Hinduism in Bali. This is because until now the implementation of the teaching trilogy is still running and standing alone in an incomplete and comprehensive manner. Sometimes it is found in the field of implementation of acaras and ethics are not equipped with tattwa philosophy in it. So that the knowledge of the people will be more rooted and rely on the basic concept indeed. This of course will increasingly corner the minds of the people about the doctrine that is not fundamental. One of the truths of tattwa written in the Vedic Scriptures is the concept of cosmology or the creation of the universe. Cosmology is one of the important knowledge in Hinduism, because cosmology not only provides knowledge about the creation of the universe, furthermore cosmology can explain the true nature of human beings, which so far is still very difficult to obtain. In Bali, this cosmological teaching is implied in local theology. Local theology that lived and developed in Bali until now is imbued with the teachings of the Vedic scriptures. Especially Siwaistic texts that always put forward the teachings of knowledge about the reality of God, the way to reach Him and the creation of the universe, both great bhuana agung and bhuana alit.
