Abstract

The use of websites is now a necessity for many organizations so that information on these organizations can be seen and accessed by the wider community. To ensure the quality of the presentation of information on the website, we can take advantage of the use of an eye tracker in evaluating the usability of site visitors when interacting with website pages. This study aims to evaluate and analyze the results of usability testing by a number of respondents while doing user tasks and interacting with the website www.polibatam.ac.id using the eye tracking method. The method used includes 4 stages, starting with the initiation of needs, Pre-User Testing, User Testing and ending with the Post User Testing stage. After the test finished, all respondents can complete the user task with an average processing time of 4 minutes 33 seconds. From the results of the eye tracking analysis, there was a minor problem related to the naming of the user menu on the polibatam.ac.id website. The suggestion to improve the website www.polibatam.ac.id is to pay more attention to the naming of the main sub menu on the web page to be more specific so as not to cause confusion for website visitors.

Abstract

This research was conducted in April 2018 at Punggur waters. The methods used were bathymetric and tidal survey which aimed at obtaining depth and position information in Punggur waters which play a role in supporting activities around Punggur waters. This research was done by performing generalization using the Multibeam Echosounder (MBES) System instrument. Tides know the dynamics or changes in sea level. Thus, a bathymetric and tidal survey are carried out simultaneously namely the tides in the bathymetry survey activities aiming as a reference depth field to determine the kind/type of tide and the height of sea level average MSL (Mean Sea Level) as a reference point (zero points) for elevation measurements. It is known that the Formzahl value is 1.35 so that the tide type in the waters around the port is mixed mainly diurnal tides. The corrected bathymetry measurement results with an MSL value of 1.35 meters which results in an accuracy of the depth value. This indicates that there is a change in the depth value in Punggur waters, Batam. The results showed that the depth value in Punggur waters ranged from 16 to 25 meters below sea level so that the depth or bathymetry value in these waters was not included in the continental shelf area, which explains the presence of sloping topography values. Abstract

this paper describes the design of full bridge DC to DC converter 3 phase six legs for solar PV. The prototype is built with 5 kHz transformers, 2 lead-acid batteries with each energy storage of 12V, 7.2Ah and 20WP solar PV. Three phase switching is provided by analog op-amp comparator circuit with variable frequency 1 kHz-20 kHz. The controller of the converter use adjustable DC power supply as voltage reference for analog op-amp comparator, works varies from 0-11VDC (0%-50% duty cycle) and controlled manually

Abstract

Electric energy monitoring device on smartphone-based refrigerators are intended as part of an energy saving campaign. This device works with the principle of regulating the power of the refrigerator based on the parameters of the temperature and starting time of the refrigerator. If the temperature has stabilized, the refrigerator will automatically turned off so that electrical energy consumption can be reduced. This device is also connected to an Android-based application so that the device's performance can also be regulated via mobile phones with certain variables.

Abstract

The battery is an important part used to drive motors and instruments in electric cars, but the number of batteries used needs to be considered to adjust the required working voltage. If a three-phase induction motor is used to drive an electric car, a battery voltage of 326 Vdc is required which is then supplied to a three-phase inverter to 230 Vac which will then be used as a supply to a 3-phase induction motor. So that to decrease the number of batteries to be used in this study, a voltage booster system, namely the Ultra Step-Up Converter will be designed which functions to increase the working voltage of the battery which was originally 48Vdc until the output voltage of 326 Vdc is obtained which can be loaded up to 1.2 kW. This converter will be added with fuzzy logic control to control the output voltage so that it remains constant at 326 Vdc even though the voltage on the battery varies.

Abstract

Perkembangan pada dunia robotika pada saat ini semakin pesat, di mana robot dapat berguna dalam setiap kegiatan manusia. Di Indonesia ajang kontes robot sudah dilakukan pada setiap tahunnya baik tingkat regional dan tingkat nasional. Salah satu kategori yang ingin dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah kategori Kontes Robot Sepakbola Indonesia (KRSBI). Pada kategori ini, robot harus bisa bernavigasi untuk mencari bola dan menendang kearah gawang. Tujuan utama dari robot ini adalah bernavigasi dan mencari bola sampai kearah gawang lawan. Robot sepakbola beroda merupakan salah satu kategori robot yang pertama kali dipertandingkan pada KRI (Kontes Robot Indonesia) 2018 kategori KRSBI (Kontes Robot Sepakbola Indonesia) Beroda. Robot sepakbola dikembangkan agar memiliki fungsi yang mirip dengan pemain sepakbola pada umumnya yaitu mengejar bola, menggiring bola, dan menendang bola. Salah satu permasalahan yang masih dikembangkan sampai saat ini adalah bagaimana robot mampu mendeteksi bola menggunakan sensor kamera (webcam). Deteksi bola merupakan salah satu langkah awal dalam menentukan aksi selanjutnya robot sepakbola beroda seperti mengejar, menggiring, dan menendang bola. Karena bola yang digunakan pada pertandingan berwarna oranye maka pada penelitian ini dikembangkan pendeteksian bola menggunakan metode filter warna. Robot penjaga gawang bertugas untuk dapat menghadang bola berwarna oranye memasuki gawang. Robot tersebut harus mampu mendeteksi bola dengan akurat untuk menentukan pergerakan robot selanjutnya. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan pengembangan robot penjaga gawang yang mampu mendeteksi warna dan bentuk bola dengan metode HoughCircle dan approxPolyDP.

Abstract

Catfish (Pangasius sp) is a type of fish that is widely used as raw material for processed smoked fish. Salai fish is one of the local culinary delights that are processed by cutting / splitting as well as drying and curing (smoking) which takes approximately 1-2 days and is one of the most familiar culinary delights in Indonesia, especially in Riau Province. However, in making this processed smoked fish, the process of cutting / splitting the fish is still done manually. This can be overcome by means of automatic feeder and catfish cutter. The way this tool works is that fresh fish will be put manually on the conveyor belt then the fish will go to the fish cutting process using a rotating circular blade and will cut the fish according to the depth has been adjusted for the raw material for processed catfish smoked fish. From data collection using 20 fish with a weight ranging from 150 to 365 grams and a length of fish ranging from 23 - 35 cm, the average working time of the 20 fish is 2,27 seconds. To determine the capacity of the tool, a continuous cutting process of 5 fish was carried out and the resulting time was 6,02 seconds, so in 1 minute this tool was able to process catfish as much as 48-49 fish per minute.

Abstract

Humanoid robot is built on several sub-programs or systems which is integrated to each main programs in order to command the robot to move as a soccer player. Each main programs namely as a movement system, a visual sense system (vision), a sub-controller system, and a game strategy. Currently, each of main system constructed using different programming language, for instance: the vision system used python while the others used C and LUA for the movement kinematics. Employing different programming language will affect to response system because each of main system need to be integrated using socket in the beginning process. Robot response will be slow and cost a lot of memory usage. Therefore, in this paper will present a migrating process into robot operating system (ROS) and switch all the robot main system into python language. The integrated program will be examined in real-time application while the robot moved on the field. We used a python ROS in order to make the robot play autonomously on the field.

Abstract

People are increasingly encouraged by the advancement of science and technology to use and develop technical achievements in a variety of sectors, particularly multimedia. One way to make use of interactive folklore that is suitable and enjoyable, especially for youngsters, is to produce interactive folklore. Because it is packaged in two unique and fascinating studies for its users, it is intended to be something new and not dull in the process of learning and reading for youngsters. The researcher used the folklore "Malin Kundang," which is based on West Sumatra folklore, in this study. This interactive tale was created utilizing a two-dimensional animation base. Users will be provided a story of Malin Kundang and his mother, going from young Malin Kundang to married Malin Kundang, in this interactive folklore. This interactive folklore contains numerous distinct narratives, each with a different ending and story progression, so that children will be engaged and not bored by the varied storylines and may learn from the various qualities and characters in this interactive folklore

Abstract

IT Department as a part of IT network takes a role as a department which manages all networking and its facilities. All data related to networking is usually collected manually. This method emerges not only posibilities of redundancy data, but also losing data as result of improper design of database. Initially, this system aims for supporting the IT department to do documentation of switch and port to be more effective and efficient. To reach the purpose of this system, a waterfall method is used in which this method is used in which this method integrates with MySQL and PHP to create an output of pdf report.
