Abstract

One of the goals of learning physics is to help students develop their critical thinking skills. Preliminary studies conducted at SMAN 1 Pacitan show that the learning process is still teacher-centered with the lecture method and providing practice questions. Such a learning process causes the development of student's critical thinking skills to be less well-stimulated. Using e-modules in physics learning is expected to be a new solution to stimulate students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to determine the impact of Problem-Based learning physics electronic module integrated with STEM on students' critical thinking skills. The research method uses a quasi-experimental technique with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis used the N-gain test to determine the increase in students' critical thinking skills and the t-test to determine the effect of problem-based learning electronic module integrated with STEM on students' critical thinking skills. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling strategy. The samples involved were 34 students of class XI MIPA Senior High School Pacitan. The test was conducted to collect data on students' critical thinking skills. Research data was collected using an essay test of critical thinking skills totaling twelve valid questions with a reliability coefficient 0.70. Before the N-gain test was carried out, the normality, homogeneity, and t-test were first carried out. In the normality test, the data is normally distributed. In the homogeneity test, the data is homogeneous. Based on the paired sample t-test, it shows that there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest critical thinking skills with a sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, which indicates that the problem-based learning electronic module integrated with STEM has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills. By acquiring an N-Gain score of 0.76 in the high category, the PBL physics electronic module integrated with STEM on mechanical wave characteristics material can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Nursing students often face problems in the form of stress and challenges when carrying out clinical nursing practice; it can worsen the quality of service in the clinic. Resilience is suspected to improve individuals in carrying out self-management well so that the process of adapting to problems can be carried out adaptively. It is essential to know the resilience of nursing students and the expected efforts so that they can overcome problems in the optimal service setting. This study explores stress, challenges, or efforts to increase resilience in nursing students in clinical practice education. According to the inclusion criteria, sixteen nursing students were involved in this qualitative study using this phenomenological approach. The process of data analysis using the Collaizi method was carried out, starting from reading the data repeatedly, forming categories to formulating themes. Triangulation efforts were carried out by involving three student supervising nurses to ensure the suitability of the information that had been obtained from student nurses. This study resulted in three themes: difficulties during clinical education challenges when carrying out clinical education and expectations for efforts to increase student resilience. It was concluded that there was a correlation between stress, challenge, and strength of nursing students and the interdependence between the three components. It is necessary to prepare nursing students' resilience before undergoing clinical practice by utilizing the potential supported by technological advances so that students can manage themselves well in dealing with various complicated problems in the clinical practice learning setting.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest oil producing countries in the world. Indonesia is recorded to have produced 279.07 million barrels of oil in 2021. Indonesia's geographical location is in a strategic area which is located between the Middle East countries as oil producers and developed countries that consume oil. The Malacca Strait, which is adjacent to the Riau Islands Province as a ship transportation area, even 27% of oil spread throughout the world passes through it. In addition to economic benefits, this sea area is also at risk of oil spills which result in pollution of sea waters. The research method used in this research is literature review. The research focuses on the interior of the coast and small islands in the Riau Archipelago. The research aims to provide a collaborative strategy through sustainable oil spill management policies on coasts and small islands in the Riau Archipelago Province. The results of the research show that strategies that can be applied are socialization regarding the importance of protecting marine waters from pollution and patrolling areas that are prone to being dumps of oil. The vastness of the waters in the Riau Islands requires patrols to coordinate with BAKAMLA, Navy, Aired Police, Customs and Excise and the community. The team for handling oil in the sea of Riau Islands Province that has been formed needs to increase environmental knowledge and deepen understanding related to technology through continuous training. Operational techniques for handling oil spills must be made regular so that it is easier to concentrate and coordinate the handling of oil spills.

Abstract

The Effect of Shade and Cocopeat as a Growing Media on the Growth of Barangan Banana (Musa Acuminte Lin) at the acclimatization stage. Bananas are a superior commodity and the provision of quality seeds is important, so it is important to achieve the problem of planting media and providing shade at the acclimatization stage of young plants. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the provision of shade and the effectiveness of cocopeat as a planting medium for Barangan bananas at the acclimatization stage. This research was conducted in an open field, Medan Marelan, North Sumatra in September-November 2021. The study used a split plot design with the main plot providing shade at two levels, namely without shade and 50% paranet shade and cocopeat as a subplot with 5 levels, namely 100%. cocopeat, 100% topsoil, 75% cocopeat; 25% topsoil, 50% cocopeat: 50% topsoil, and 25% cocopeat: 75% topsoil. Data processing using ibm spss statistics software. The effect of shading was significantly different on the observation of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf thickness and shoot dry weight. The use of 25% cocopeat: 75% topsoil increases the vegetative growth of plants in the number of leaves, stem diameter and plant chlorophyll. The interaction without shade and the effectiveness of cocopeat as a planting medium was significantly different where plants using 25% cocopeat: 75% topsoil and without shelter showed better vegetative growth compared to plants with shade and other cocopeat ratios. From the results, the best results show that the average use of 25% cocopeat compared to 75% soil shows that plants can grow optimally when the planting medium has good porosity
